RDP WAP54G unstable connection

HIE,

IM using WAP54G to connect the thin client using the USB wireless. We using RDP connection to connect to our application server. These connection are disconnected most of the time and sometimes its really loud to get IP DHCP from the server. If restart us the AP then it seems that it works very well, but after a few hours it tend to disconnect. Is there any suggestions how to solve this problem? We have thin client from 100 to 200 to16 WAP54G conneting. Distance each WAP54G 3 – 4meters.

What is your DHCP server... ? Router... ? Modem.. ?

Do you get the problem with all WAP 16...?

In what mode you have set up all the WAP...?

How your network is configured...?

  • Helps detect and block repeated RDP has no connections

I wonder if anyone has found a way to detect (and then effectivly block) repeated failed RDP tries to connect.  I guess it's difficult because they are legitimate connection attempts that we don't normally block.  Run us several terminal servers and (correlated with new RDP according to virus recently announced) that we have seen of many attmepts login failed via RDP over the past months.

I found a similar question that did not have a clear answer.  Anyone know how to set up a detection of flooding for repeated RDP connections?

    https://supportforums.Cisco.com/message/3365703#3365703

I would like to find a way to block repeated attempts, but not to block all attempts, I need to keep the other source IPs unblocked the blocking mechanism.

    Erick

You can try a signature of engine aotmic IP which is on port 3389. You can set the County event to the aggressor and the victim address pair and event the number to a decent amount (say 5) and a count interval to an appropriate interval event (say 30 seconds).

You can also match on additional details (like a RST flag as well in the header of theTCP which ideally should follow a connection attempt has failed). If you do this, you specify the source TCP 3389 port and also activate swap victim-perpetrator addresses so that the destination IP address is detected as an aggressor.

You can then set the action to "refuse the perpetrator victim pair inline" and all the traffic between these 2 guys will be blocked for a period of time (the default is 30 miniutes if I remember correct).

Indeed, the signature will try to match 5 TCP packets in 30 seconds with a source port of 3389 and between the same set of IP addresses. If this condition is, it stops all traffic between these 2 hosts for a set period of time.

Yet once, the numbers I mentioned above may not meet your requirement. You should maybe start wireshark and see the boss and match accordingly.

    I hope this helps!

    Kind regards

    Assia

  • HP Photosmart e-All-in-On 5520: WI - FI suddenly unstable connection

The WI - FI connection has suddenly become very unstable?

I tried to uninstall and reinstall.

It worked like a charm ;-)

    That's what I'm suddenly:

HP Photosmart 5520 series is currently unavailable. Please check if it is connected and turned on, or try again later.

It is turned on and connected and I tried again and again

Hello @NomesNescisand welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I see that you are having connectivity problems. I would like to help!

I would recommend your computer off.  Once the computer is down, unplug the power cord from the printer and the electrical outlet and remove the power of your router for 60 seconds.

After 60 seconds, reconnect the router.  Once the router has started broadcasting, reconnect the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I then suggested to remove the printer from your printing system, using this document: uninstalling the software of the printer.

Once you have deleted, I suggest to check and repair disk permissions: function to fix the permissions of all utility disk drive.

I also run your Apple updates: OS x: Mac App Store apps and OS X update

After the updates, I recommend time of the printer:

HP Photosmart full feature software and drivers

After the printer is reinstalled, run the wireless installation.

    I also suggest this document:

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting operations. If this solves the problem, click on accept the Solution below, as well as others to find the answer. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

  • Spooler begins receiving false print jobs and they keep their appearance for as long as the RDP session is connected.

We're RDPing from Windows XP to a Win2003Server machine.

As soon as the connection is established the spooler begins to become bogus jobs... They appear on the spooler and quickly disappear (as is in printerd although nothing prints)
Although annoying, appears not to be a problem more. The problem is when the printer is offline.
I just erased more than 24 k jobs from a printer in offline mode.
If I remove the chekmark of the printer on the RDP protocol options the problem ceases, but this isn't a solution for me because I need to print to this printer.
I saw the problem listed on various forums but no official response from MS (or anyone at all).
    What could be the problem?

    Hello

Because the Windows XP client connects to a RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) of Windows Server 2003 session, I suggest you post this question in the TechNet Windows Server 2003 forum.

  • EA3500 unstable connection

bought the router in August 2014.

He was good at the beginning, then I found a few unstablity - sometimes ping the router 192.168.1.1 would see hundreds ms response time. That's when my connection grave and interenet speed becomes slow.

It doesn't happen often, but once or twice a week. still annoying though.

I wonder if it is the interference by the other Wi - Fi siginals around my neighborhood. (I live in an apartment wifi so many signals autour).

Try to use an application on a phone like WiFi Analyzer to look at who is using what channels. You want to try to stick to the channels 1, 6 or 11, as they do not overlap with other channels. Looking for a channel where your signal is at least 20 or 30 db higher than the others. Also, make sure that you set your ssid to something else that linksys is different from other.

  • RDP fails to connect with anyconnect

    Hi all
I have a problem with the configuration of an ASA 5505
When my users connect with anyconnect they can only connect to the server, but when they want to connect to their own pc, it does not connect.
When they are connected, they can ping their own pc even with the DNS name.
When I let connect them trough the clientportal. They make RDP on their own pc.
NAT is set to the ip address of the server as well as the pc owners.
The server is a victory of 2008 SBS and clients are Win XP
    Anyone have an idea?

    Please indicate the following:

Can you ping 192.168.1.14? and can try you to telnet to port 3389 to 192.168.1.14 invites back?

In addition, if the connection that allows 192.168.1.14 different IP subnet RDP to the server? Is there a PC firewall that would block access? You can try to disable the Windows Firewall on 192.168.1.14.

  • Problem connecting, Win 7, WPA - PSK (computer think it's WEP). Managed to substitute, but now very unstable connection.

Hello, I use Windows 7 to my computer. Here wireless signal is encrypted with WPA - PSK TKIP, but my computer could not register as such (he believes that its WEP). I managed to force it to connect, by manually adjusting for WPA - PSK with TKIP (and the correct password) in the control panel.

However, the connection is extremely unstable. Often, he simply stops working, although the icon says that there is a link. (Note that this window of available connection has a large red cross next to the signal, because he claims that the settings do not match. He just logs occasionally when I start).

I wonder if there is a way to solve this annoying problem. I don't know what is causing the computer to see the signal as WEP, when it clearly is WPA - PSK.

Oh, I found what I think, it is the router in the basement: that said on it: Motorola SBS101E.

PS: I'm not good on the technical stuff (although I understand basic concepts such as network card drivers, etc., don't ask me not to disable or install a protocol without walking me through the steps).

    Thank you!

As I wrote, your problem is probably related to the adapter wireless in your office. Maybe it's as simple as that requires an updated driver, but it remains to be seen.

Result of your ipconfig is quite surprising.  Because you are in a university environment, if we cannot identify a problem with your wireless adapter, you may be able to request assistance from the University of the it Department.  See also comments below on the VPN.

Here - is more as a matter of interest than anything else - what some of your settings mean:

    Wireless network adapter

    • Your card is a Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC (Realtek RTL8188CE 1 x 1 11 b/g/n Wireless LAN PCI Express Half Mini Card Adapter, which seems to be installed on Lenovo ThinkPads).
    • Your card is automatically assigned (usually by the wireless router, but see below) an IP address of 10.92.129.20.  This address is part of what is called a 'Class A' network, which is generally only used by very large organizations (for example, a University).  This suggests that this wireless network is from University wireless access point rather than a router connected to the modem cable into your basement.

So it is possible that the antenna on your desktop computer wireless card is not in as good a place as your laptop computer to receive the signal. It's especially if your office uses a built-in wireless adapter, with the antenna at the back of the computer under a desk and near a wall. If you try USB wireless adapter for your desktop computer (or an antenna on an extension cord) move the antenna near a window, if possible.

    • The 'default gateway' for this connection (the address of the wireless router) is 10.92.128.1, which is in the same class A network.
    • The DHCP server (which is what affects your IP address card) is 195.130.132.102.  It is a public IP address belonging to Telenet/Pandora, a Belgian Internet service provider.  In almost all wireless home networks, the DHCP server is part of the router, so your situation is very different.

    Virtual private network (VPN)
What complicates your Internet connection is the fact that you seem to be using a VPN. This is identified as the 'card Ethernet Hamachi.' I saw many posts complaining that the Hamachi software interferes with various other network connections.  For example:

After the installation of LogMeIn Hamachi, my continuous wireless network connection disconnected from the internet every few minutes. The wireless connection is ok, but trying to access the internet, I get a message to reset the connection.

Once I got disabling the network Hamachi (Control Panel-> network) connection and Internet-> network connections, everything is back to normal.

It happens on two different routers, then the router is probably not the problem.

This happens with the wired connection.

I use Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1 64 Bit, Hamachi 2.0.3.89, Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN.

    LINK

This is beyond my area of expertise.  If you are unable to determine a driver (or hardware) problem with your adapter wireless and you have installed Hamachi VPN software on your desktop and your laptop, assuming that you really need, you need to get help from the support service of some entity required or recommended use of Hamachi VPN software.

  • M40X-295: solved unstable connection WLAN problem

When you use the WiFi network using the default settings on my m40x (I only put SSID and WPA password for), the connection is established (802.11.g) was often interruppted.
for example: listening to internet radiostreams, the download has been interruppted or websites is expired.

Solution 1: Force the m40x-adapter to use 802. 11B only.

Solution 2: update the driver wlan Intel version 9.0.2.0 (Intel wireless_9.0.2.0_ - _generic_TIC_97904.exe). This driver is located on the Intel site.
Now the speed of 802.11 g works (almost) well too. OK, the solution 1 is a bit more reliable.

    My configuration:
    M40X-295, WinXP Home
    Router AVM FRITZ! Box Fon WLAN 7050, (802 11 b + g), WPA-TKIP
    DSL 1 Mbit
    WiFi-force about 95%

    Hi Carsten

    Thanks for this useful information.
I think the 9.0.2 is the new version of WLan.

  • M40X-250: Unstable connection Wireless 54mbps

    Hello

A month ago, I bought a new m40x-250 and a brand new US Robotics maxg router, the problem is, I use it wireless and we put him on 54 Mbps, we got the network in the recommended version Robotics which is WPA, so everything seems normal, but the problem is after than many Connect minutes (internet) grave then the back, like ten times in an hour.

So I thought that it's my phone, so I sent it to Toshiba, complete check-up to the top, they find nothing, the system works perfectly! made me think and I set the router on 11 Mbps, now wifi works great, but my question is Daniel not on 54 Mbps? It should be cos it is as good as standard, on the router and the laptop (802.11 g) now I use 802, 11 b.
the only thing I can think is my pc card.
Can someone give me some advice here?

    Thank you!

    Hello

I would be very grateful if someone can help solve the problem captioned.

I bought the EA4500 for a week and all is well, except that the connection to my external hard drive 1 TB via the USB port of the EA4500 is not stable.

The router are visible at the level of the 'network' of Windows 7, as one of the "Computer".   I therefore use my memeo autobackup software to back up my data via a network connection on the external hard drive.

It works very well, however, for a limited time.  The time is a few hours.

After that happens, the device can no longer be seen at the level of the "network".  In addition, it cannot be mapped via the service 'road map' normal.  A "Not enough resources" error when I want to map the drive.

The problem can be solved temporarily after a "roboot" of the router.  But it's frustrating.

Can someone help me solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance.
