  Have you checked if the touchpad is properly activated?

  Using the FN + F9 key combination, you can disable and enable the touchpad feature!
  Please check this function if you have not disabled the touchpad accidentally!

  Last but not least, I would recommend checking settings the touchpad mice control-> Advanced-> advanced settings panel.
  You will find different options that can be configured to use all available touchpad features.

  A zoomed undemanded on my screen area display took my Equium A100-027 (Vista).
  I was not able to identify what actions mine trigger this, and the only way to get rid of it is to restart the computer.

• Equium L20-197: vertical strip appeared on the screen!

  My L20-197 18 months, began to display a vertical bar orange 38mm wide pale from the top to the bottom of the screen of 40mm from the left side.

• Equium A200-15i - loss of internet connection

  I have a really strange problem with my Equium A200-15i. My computer loses the connection with the internet very often.

  Connectivity shows that I am connected to the LAN or WLAN (if I use an ethernet cable). However, I am not connected to the internet. The network said "connected" icon, but everytime I open IE, the display shows 'page not available', my email client and communicators do not work as well.

  I checked all the wireless and ethernet settings and they are ok. Ive has run the diagnostics - ok. Device Manager indicates NICs (lan and wlan) are working properly. Router (BT HUB) is ok, there are more than two computers with it and they work perfectly (another computer laptop workes on wireless and PC is connected with the cable), so the problem is with my Toshiba only. Also, I say that we had a differenf router before and everything was good.

  When I restart my laptop it is internet connection but not for long. After a few reboots even who stops to help and I get the message "connected to the unidentified network, limmited to access" or sth like that. Then I restart the router security settings, fix it again and put the new settings into my laptop. This may help, but not for long... After a few days or a few hours sometimes everything again.

  Anyone, please help. I'm really, really confused :(:(

I have 3 laptops connected to my router and have never noticed any problem with the connection to the local network. I must say that I have the PPPOE settings. • Unable to get Internet using modem internal dial on Equium A200-15i

  Using my new laptop EQuium A200-15i while a Wi-Fi by Netgear has been created, I could not get the internal modem to dial up to my ISP on PAYG (to serve as a backup in case of need).
  Device Manager indicates the modem is not working properly and the driver is up-to-date. The number of dial ISP (Virgin) is also correct - I can connect to the internet using the same number of ISP of my desktop computer.
  I think I put in place the ISP connection correctly - I get a ringtone of the laptop but every time can not pass and a screen of failure rises. Y at - it still configuration of Toshiba laptop that is needed?
  The modem would be defective? Is there a technical contact E-mail for Toshiba
  Any ideas?

  In the first post you talked you a failure screen which appears after the failure of the modem connection. Could you please post the error message?

  In addition, it would be desirable to set up the Modem region selection utility that should be in programs-> Toshiba-> Networking folder.

  I am treated to a new computer laptop last Saturday and only had for about 3 and a half days so far but I noticed a few things that I wasn't sure were errors/defects or if it was simply because its news, like the fact that sometimes I type with the keyboard and some letters do not appear on the screen , I think it's probably more to do with me not type or support pretty strongly on the keys rather than anything else, his is not so much now... the touchpad becomes a bit sticky too and he thinks I want to scroll up and down when I move the cursor does not scroll sometimes but I managed to make it work I think that most laptops have glitches like that and no doubt I could help fix it in calibrating the pad (?) touch I did have time to consider the issue and yet if...   The thing is, I had read somewhere online that there is a problem with the graphics or video cards. I had read that they can be glitchy and sometimes break after a year. I also asked my father about it and we looked at it as a graphics card Intel that came with this laptop, which it is, and we counted that the Intel chips is as reliable as any other brand really... so I don't think there should be a problem, well that is there I have until September next for repair prior to the expiration of the warranty!

  What surprises or sort of worry, however, is that the error message was only introduced to me this morning. It dates from error, as having occurred at 19:53. I use it at night last, and infact, I went to take a shower and I put the laptop down before you go take a shower at around 19:35, I assumed that its ok just close the lid and it would automatically go into hibernate mode or something similar (?) im wondering if that had something to do with it as I 19:53 would have been about when I came back and lifted the lid/screen again to use the laptop again... I can only assume, given the time, he cites, is what caused the failure?

I don't have all the Senior Games motorized or complicated or anything else like that installed. Also at that time, indicates the video hardware error message, everything that was in progress when I got the cover down (or before putting the lid down) would have been Windows Live Messenger (although I'm pretty sure that I registered before putting the lid down) and an IE window , im pretty sure that's it, I was not working on anything just check the ' net...

  There are other things I noticed as I thought that maybe I should mention (?), something I've noticed he's doing is the screen goes blank and then back very quickly, a lot. I already asked about it a day or so there at that time, I realized he was only doing that before loading the "Windows needs your permission to continue" window/message, who apparently its supposed to do and something to with the computer to switch to display the normal desktop to the secure desktop, I kind of understand lol.
  So I think that's not something to worry about but I noticed during the lastday, that the screen seems to do it more, goes blank then back again, even if the authorization message does not appear.

  For example, this morning, when I first put on and am went to check out my home page, I clicked on a link at the bottom of the page or anywhere where to load another page into the site and display deleted for a while before coming back a second later with the requested page. Is this normal too? or an associated Vista glitch, or is it possible that there may be a small problem with the monitor? Incase of im guessing it can be more than one thing in Vista, but I thought I would ask here, I decided to not pay for any extra insurance/warranty extension because I am very careful with my items and take care of them and so I'm being careful to try to spot defects early, while they may be repairable under the basic warranty and what-not...

  Another thing I noticed is that start with, when I pressed on and kept the 'FN' key, a variety of icons, black and white appeared on the screen that told me what F button (s) to use to make certain adjustments, there still is that when I try right now, but at other times, it does not show icons , no matter how long I hold down the "fn". That didn't matter because I can tell by the symbols on the keyboard press what buttons but its just inconsistent, is there a reason why sometimes the row of icons on the screen will appear when I press and hold the "FN" key and other times it doesn't show at all?

  Also sometimes if I move the slider to the right to the top of the screen, these icons loading as they always seem to be located at the top of the screen, but sometimes it's a problem, if im trying to click on something else and one of these icons rises instead... I'm sure that you can disable this option in sort , but I'd be worried that the icons do not always show when I press and hold the right Button (?) just try to be careful!

  I think that this post is long enough and I don't see what else I could possibly add to help, so I'll leave this here. I don't want to sound too paranoid, but thought it is better to talk about this kind of things incase someone recognizes these defects/errors and can recommend a way fast to resolve potential problems before they can develop into what whether it is worse...   In this case I recommend updating the graphics driver. According to you, this message an Intel GPU. So you can see the Intel page for the driver for the graphics chip compatible.

  With regard to the key issue of the FN;
  The Toshiba FlashCard utility controls the key features of the FN. I read in this forum that this application does not smoothly run and in some cases it causes some issues. The new update should solve the problems. You should check the Toshiba driver page. The utility of FlashCard is a part of the Toshiba value added package.

  So finally a tip more:
  You should always check the updates of Vista on the Microsoft page. This operating system is not perfect and Microsoft releases hotfixes and patches very often

• Need to drive recovery for Equium A200-15i

  I'm a noobie and posted this query in the box Equium, so apologies for swap. I bought an Equium A200-15i computer about a month ago. There was _no_ recover CDs in the box just the Windows Anytime upgrade disc. I contacted the store where I bought the computer to be told to put in the computer and they would take the details of it in order to create or order the CD. I did this and then said that they would have to wait until 'a guy' is established at the end of week, who knew how to create these discs and back again once then.

  Because of the great distance involved in travel, I was reluctant to make a second trip to the store and suggested that if they take all the details of the computer now, they should be able to create this disc and then after it me. I still have not received this drive at all. Now at the same time, the guys at 'tech' in the shop said they believed that I wouldn't need a CD master. In addition, they imply that it should be possible to create this disk myself at the first start-up or windows environment itself. I do not remember this option of provision for me at this time and I can't find anything on the computer that would allow me to accomplish such a task.

  Here, I'm confused. I know not enough about computers to realize that you need a Master CD to recover a system failure major hard drive or simply to clean and re-all over again!

  What are your thoughts on this situation? Should this model really a MAster CD. How do you create one. What should I do next? Thanks for your time and your patience with me on this

  The fact is that your display driver doesn't support the resolution of 1280 * 768, and so you can't choose it.

• Equium A200-15I can't find wireless networks after recovery

  After making a recovery using the Vista CD from my computer (an Equium A200 15I) cannot find wireless networks. I went into the device under network adapters Manager and then there is realtek RTL8101 Ethernet NIC etc and in the other devices section it is Ethernet and controller of Stoeage of mass.

  I'm not really sure how I can get the computer to recognize and wireless networks, but I am aware that the driver is missing!

  I have a laptop Equium A200-15I series. For reasons too long to describe here, I don't have the DVD of master restoration - it was not provided with the product and after that a long period, I was told that I would have to pay for it. Not fair, but there you go!

  To be honest, I'm a little confused, and at first, I just want to clarify something. Notebooks (A200 series) are supplied with recovery DVDs and these books have no recovery image on the HARD disk and you cannot install the OS by using advanced startup options (F8).

  New laptops like A300 models are supplied without recovery media and recovery image is saved on the HARD drive and there is a possibility to install the OS without recovery DVDs. The recovery image is saved on the second partition in HDD Recovery folder. Drive HARD recovery can be done if this folder is not removed.

  If you want to have the factory settings again you need recovery (DVD) image. You can also purchase Microsoft Vista DVD facilities and install your own operating system. All the drivers, tools and utilities that you can find on Toshiba supports the page. Of course some other software like Norton or WinDVD player are not downloadable.
