  When you print a document in color of our family of Windows 7 PC to our new printer networked WiFi from HP Photosmart 5520 I find no option to print in grayscale (quite a usual demand when you print a copy for reference).   You will need to do is to open the printer preferences and then click the Advanced button to access additional options.

  I'm doing something wrong, or should I just try a different type of photo paper?   Printing simple text on A4 is fine.

  I think you are something! I suspect that the problem is probably related to the book, but it might be better to use the following document to completely solve the problem: the problems of quality Print to the HP Photosmart 5520 e-all-in-one-HP Deskjet Ink Advantage e-all-in-one 5520, Printer series.

  I just bought a HP all in one Photosmart 5520. It works fine as a printer, but when I scan or copy I get a 'white' scan / paper in white. And Yes, the text on the paper was facing the Analyzer anyone know whatcould wrong?

  I recently bought a photosmart 5520. It's my fourth HP printer. So far, I've been more than happy with the HP printers and that's why I've stuck with them.

  I am extremely disappointed by the print quality of the 5520. When you print a document in black Black is almost gray. It just doesn't seem to be enough ink and when printing photo skin tones are not accurate. It seems to be too much red.

  I got a deskjet 2180, which is only a printer not expensive but the quality of the print is much better than the print quality of the 5520.

  I want to know y at - it a setting that I can do to improve the print quality of my 5520 or is it a matter of "what I see, this is what I get.

• HP Photosmart 5520 - cannot print - using windows 7

  I have a wireless laptop and can go anywhere.  I can print the wireless network test results and Page of Configuration of HP network.   However, I can't print other documents.  My test results all the PASS and signal show as very good.  Current configuration as expected except DO NOT CONNECT Internet.

  I tried various tools and options on the HP Site and others.  I have reistalled printer driver and printer and wireless details says it is connected.  I don't have the ability to use a cable.

  It was suggested to my static ip address, I thought I'd made however on the prints on (and I have a lot in the last hours) the ip adddresses seems inconsistent.  After 5 hours, any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I noticed that you are unable to print with your HP Photosmart 5520, on Windows 7 using a wireless connection. I'm happy to help you with your print!

  Please see the following guides:

  • "Printer is off-line" Message appears on the computer and the printer does not print: Windows 7.
  • The printer keeps Wi-Fi connection.

  Also, I recommend the HP wireless printing Center, Web site. You want to make sure that the router broadcasts not 5 ghz to 2.4 ghz.

  This post, incoming and outgoing Printer Ports, of @VisionAiry. I will tell you what ports must be open not closed on the router.

  It is possible that a print job waiting in the queue is getting printed whenever you turn on the printer. To do this, please disconnect the printer from the computer.

  1. If the printer is connected by USB cable, simply unplug the USB cable at the end of the printer.

  2. If the printer is connected wireless, disable wireless by following the steps below:

  (a) tap the wireless on the printer control panel.

  (b) select the setting wireless as the 'Off '.

  Now, check if the printer still prints the test pages. Let me know what you find.

  Connected to a HP Photosmart C4580 printer via "wireless".   Although Print 'presets' show the color still seems to me that power print in black and white. System preferences under "Printer" Apple doesn't give me an option option color/black and white?

  Also checked and my HP software updates are all up to date. When I select 'Preview' option on PAGES/FILE/PRINT the document is displayed in colour - but printer still prints in black and white!  Advice please?

  My Photosmart 5520 worked beautifully for centuries, but all of a sudden it is not found on my iPad, iPhone or MacBook Air.  I uninstalled it and I tried to reinstall, but it will not show anywhere.  I use OS X Version 10.9.1 I tried everything I can think of in recent weeks and I'm ready to throw it out the window! (o).

  I have no virus protection to block this and as I said, it worked very well, but he just suddenly stop.  Please can anyone offer any help?

  What router are you using?  You've restarted the router by pulling on its feeder momentarily?

  I see by your post that you want to know if have a color cartridge installed in the printer for over a year can affect the printer. I want to help you.

  With empty spaces in the head of printing and impoverished cartridges can affect the quality and may damage the printer.

  The printer will regularly work maintenance cycles that use small amounts of ink to clear the nozzles and keep them clearly, if the printer is not used for long periods of time. Without regular maintenance cycles, the print head gets dirty. (months to a moment turns off)

  Although the issue you described is different from what the title in the following document States, the proposed solution might help: printed Images contain blanks or streaks of single color.

  I understand your Red looks more like Brown when it prints, I think that the cleaning cartridges can help. The above will help you in this. Also, please make sure that your ink cartridge ink level is adequate.

  The printer can be set to black ink only. The steps are below.

  On Windows: Open the printer software, click on set preferences. On the paper/quality tab, click
  Advanced. Select black ink only in printing in grayscale in the drop-down list under the characteristics of the printer.

  On Mac: In the print dialog box, choose paper Type/quality pane, click Color Options, then
  Choose grayscale in the color dropdown.

  Well Yes.  I highly recommend you uninstall - you don't really need it.  Use its uninstaller in Applications > Symantec.
