Re: Mouse cursor moving erratically and even moves its own

Hello. I hope you can help.

I have a Toshiba Satellite U500, less than a year and I have real problems with mouse cursor move where he wants, when he wants, even when my hands are away from the laptop. I ran every virus/trojan/software malware scan and there is no problem. Tapping is disabled and sensity etc. levels are low. I use Windows 7 and there is no problems until the last two days (apart from an occasional hour or two the same thing a few months ago.

Oh and I don't have an external mouse. only the Toshiba integrated one. Any ideas? He made work very difficult.

Thank you very much.

Hello

try updating the driver for the touchpad:

http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

To be honest, I do not know what you suggest again that you have already scanned for viruses, disabled tapping, sensity levels. As it is the last hope to reinstall the operating system itself with a recovery disk

  • iMac crashing and restarting on its own

    Hi all

My iMac has been crashing lately and restart on its own. After trying to solve what was going on, I noticed that, just before these accidents occur, the following 2 warnings repeatedly appear on the Console:

kernel [0]: could not open the file 2

    kernel [0]: vm_swap_create_file @ 1554 dry failure

During the inspection, I realized that the var, there is no /vm folder and, therefore, no swap file, that made me suspect that the problem is related to virtual memory.

I tried to launch an intensive application of memory while monitoring the use of memory through Activity Monitor and, of course, when all memory is used, the system crashes. Used swap shows 0 bytes at all times. In comparison, my MacBook Air has always a certain amount of used Swap data, even if some memory is used.

I tried to verify if the virtual memory was somehow disabled, by using 'sudo launchctl load-w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.dynamic_pager.plist' but it seems that the service is already loaded.

  • Why Acrobat does change the parameters in the bookmarks and links on its own?

    Hello everyone ,

In the last weeks I met a problem that seems to be a bug.

I used the functions of many times before without encountering this problem.

The problem is: Acrobat seems to change my settings of bookmarks and links on its own.

    That's what I do:

A Word document is converted to pdf using Acrobat / save as pdf.

Then I open the document in Adobe Acrobat format and make some additional adjustments on how are treated bookmarks, and how pages are displayed.

For this, I use the menu: file / properties... where I in initial view choose to display bookmarks menu and an entire page.

Links: for each link, I have activelly chose page to link to and I have this than a whole page to be shown.

But something strange seems to happen to my favorite (and links). Even if I manually change each single bookmark properties (by right-clicking on the bookmark and then change properties), the Acrobat seems to change my settings in "Execute JavaScript", after which pages in my document do not appear as whole pages; Instead, the view is expanded. Often Adobe (and the reader, I tested both) show the zoomed pages so that they fit the frame of the window open.

What is the problem here? What I am doing wrong?

This would be a strange bug? Or is there a setting that I happened to change without knowing?

I have a similar problem with links. Even though I actively chose a particular magnification of the linked page, the program changes the settings on its own. Rather than show a whole page, Acrobat (and subsequently Reader) are suitable for the page on the frame.

What is the problem here? What can I do to ensure that my personal settings are retained?

Sorry for my English. I use the Swedish version of the program, so I am only guessing what are the different options are called in English.

    Greetings from Scandinavia,

    LM

For your information on the laptop, the Antivirus is installed and updated: AVIRA and Spybot

What I tried to solve the problem:
    (1) I downloaded and installed the latest version of the pointer ALPS driver device that even so the same version was already installed. No result, same behavior
    (2) I tried with an external USB mouse, disable touchpad/pointing stick. No result, same behavior

    Suggestions, please?
    Thanks in advance

Maybe you can try to start with a Live CD/USB. If this problem occurs also with the OS Live the question is related to laptop. If not, it s a Windows problem and perhaps a recovery would solve the problem.

I prefer to use an external USB mouse. "Compatible USB and PS2 optical mouse wheel".

    PID: 56180-576-9149431-3 PIN: X 08-71118

It works very well with my runing newest laptop Windows 7 and sometimes on the Compaq (as well as the mousepad). However, sometimes without apparent reason, the cursor flashes on and for most offshore, do any worthless pointing device.  I tried to review the settings of control panel device (withdifficulty) and everything seems fine. I also tried several different mouse; same result.

I get a stable cursor to initialize to top, only up to the point where I select the user account to connect to. The pointing device then develops its own behavior.

    Any ideas?

    Well, you can try this:

    Go in start.

    Right-click Workstation,

    Then click on System Properties.

It should open a window, click the hardware tab.

Then click on the Device Manager button.

Expand mice and other pointing devices section,

Find your mouse, then right-click on it and click Uninstall.

    Restart your computer.

When you log on to Windows, this should start automatically install the device software. Once it's done

the mouse should work fine, without flicker.

  • selectingitems and trackpad pointer moves its own

I was watching a video of Amazon and may have struck a couple of keys, or my hand slipped in the keys - I don't know, but pointer froze on the follow-up to the film bar at the bottom of the screen (not sure if this is relevant, or what is called in fact this bar) in all cases, the pointer froze and then began to move erratically in bursts on the screen , selection of apps, ibooks, photos, etc. and then OPEN them as if I had clicked. Literally goes haywire as if it had a life of its own. I have NEVER experienced this during the 11 years that I've had the Mac laptop. I don't know if trackpads wear out (my current MacBook Pro is a vintage 2012 and I debated update, but it was working very well.) I wonder how to clean the dust/debris under keys because I know it can be done and I was wondering if something got under the trackpad (seems pulled by the hair) but it's really another question for me to continue. Any help on trackpad possessed pointer would be appreciated. I don't see that this issue anywhere else... - Pam

Remove the bottom plate and inspect the inside.  Pay attention to the battery to see if there are signs of expansion.  If so, take it out and have a new installed.  An extended battery can affect the trackpad.

If no success, make an appointment at an Apple store genius bar for a FREE evaluation.

    Ciao.

His problem with displaying his looks...

Touchpad freezes also on several occasion... very annoying sound...

Please such the solution else I will return the laptop... I don't want to keep the defective part with me...

    Hello:

I will not be able to help you with why the touchpad does not work.  Maybe it's a defect.

Have you installed the latest driver of pad touch support page for your laptop?

Any laptop you buy that comes with W8.1, you can have the screen brightening and the thing was dimming.

This is because there is a new setting in Windows 8.1 called Adaptive brightness.

If you find it boring (what seems do you), you can easily disable the Adaptive brightness adjustment.

Please see this link for information on where to access this setting.

  • Dell Dimension E521 starts and stops on its own at random times... a lot of attempts to repair/restore without success! What's next!

Well, it's a bit of a long story, so I'll try to make it as short and easy as possible.

My grandmother had the Dell Dimension E521 for some time in December of ' 06.  She had filled the C: drive with a bunch of junk and mandated the bureau with many useless shortcuts.  Later in November 10, she told me he had begun to stop and start on his own time at random, so I tried to do what I could with antivirus scan (AVG Free Edition), remove applications and unnecessary programs and try to demand for system recovery short.  While that makes the computer run faster, it still started and closed on itself.  His house has only the dial-up connection (which is almost impossible to update anything), so I brought it to my house for the best connection around 01/01/11 (9 days ago).

I could update the AVG Free Edition and Windows updates, and it found and cleared, a Trojan Virus.  The Dell still started and shut down on its own.  My next step was to use the disc re - install for Vista Home Basic 32-bit.  He old programs saved in a folder "Windows.old" on the C: drive and completely re-installed everything back to the original.  After I checked in the "Windows.old" folder and recorded something she didn't lose (such as images and videos), I deleted as much as I could out of it.  The only thing I could not remove from it was 4 'driver files '.  For a while the computer trying to run 'chkdsk' on its own seizure began, but froze in the middle of it.  He finally ended the 'chkdsk' once and didn't try again since.  It downloaded and installed updates Windows of 100 or more on its own as well.

After all, it still does the same thing he has with housing starts and shut downs.  The closure of downs occur not just in the middle of the execution of a given program; they occur at any time at random, even if I use the computer in safe mode.  She always goes through the whole stops the process with the "logging off" and "closing" legends, it is not as if the electric system is down.  The start-up occur randomly as well, even if a stop is purposely through the Start Menu or hold down the power button.  Sometimes, he's trying to start and shut down on its own several times without fully load.

Again, sorry this is so long, but I would like to know if there is anything that can be done to get this thing to CUT IT OUT because my grandmother wants as his computer back!

  • Cursor moving erratically on Sony viao running Windows 7 laptop

    Hello

Really frustrating that when you type cursor and part words move randomly. See we talked a lot about this common problem, including the button next to the cover with a piece of cardboard! also downloaded 'touchpad' disaster and had to remove it.

Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated?

    Thank you

    Kris

    Hello Kris,

The easiest way is to disable the touchpad entirely. If your laptop is not a touchpad applet in Control Panel, go to the mouse properties in Control Panel. Opens and there will be a tab for the touchpad. There should also be a checkbox to 'Disable touchpad when an external mouse is connected', in this way, you keep the touchpad when you have an external mouse and lose it when you.

Alternatively, or in some cases particularly stubborn, you can also go to the Device Manager (in Control Panel) and disable the touchpad there. It will be located under the mouse or HID (Human Interface Device); Make sure you turn it off and do not try to uninstall it, because it will resettle the next time that you start your computer.

If you do not want to disable or use an external mouse, you can try to set the sensitivity of the touchpad corners where your thumbs are probably hit (assuming that you have this feature on your laptop), but it of a little problematic and does not work as well as get rid of the touchpad altogether.

I hope this helps, let me know how make you out.

    Kind regards

    BearPup
