  I have a new Satellite A500 and it now will not 'see' one of the connected devices (Modem 3 G, an iPhone). I checked on Device Manager and it is showing as active USB ports and works correctly and has run the PC Diagnostic tool, which showed everything (including USB) in the work.

  Can anyone suggest how to fix this?

  I think that it of difficult to say something about it, if you display any information about your operating system.

  The only thing I can suggest to remove all the USB ports on the Device Manager and restart the laptop. The USB ports will recognize again. In my case it worked and I was able to reuse my USB devices. :)

• Satellite A500 - TV tuner not recognized after installing updates

  Recently, I ran a few updates (Windows 7) for Satellite A500 (PSARA9A). It has a built-in tuner & it worked fine until updated. Now when I go to watch television or check it comes up with "No tuner available to meet the demand for courses".

  I tried to install the new driver, but I can't tell if he does something. Device Manager me indicates that the latest drivers are installed, but it shows the yellow exclamation point.

I get a message on my screen that the bluetooth keyboard is "impossible", when I don't have a bluetooth keyboard and my USB keyboard is plugged. I tried all USB ports, no luck! I just found a strange way around the issue. I used a keyboard extension cable to plug into the same USB keyboard and it works now. No logical sense... I hope that this might work for you too.   I have a Satellite M70 and I have a Western Digital external hard drive.
  Initially, it worked great, I was able to put my large collection of music, etc. on it and run a computer off to save space on my integrated HD.

  But recently I had problems with XP not recognizing HD or be able to write in it. It appears in my computer, then disappear, often randomly when I write new files to it.
  I reformatted the hard drive to NTFS as it ran originally as FAT32.

  I have a portable Satellite A500-19W which is 6 months old.

  I bought this laptop while I was in Egypt and now I've moved (Dubai) UNITED Arab Emirates.

  Lately my laptop started suddenly does not detect battery.

  To remedy this that I have to remove the battery and clean the terminals then re - put the battery and turn it on and it's OK.

  This happened twice this week and caused my data loss because the charger is disconnected (if the charger is connected, the laptop computer continue to work, but the battery indicator does not light up)

  Now, my questions are the following
  1 - is this problem under warranty?
  2 - should I pay for anything when getting this laptop in service in Dubai noting that I bought in Egypt?
  3. is there a cure for this problem without going through the service center?

  I just bought a laptop TOSHIBA Satellite U400-119. The operating system is Windows Vista Home basic.
  Before I turned on the laptop, I plugged on the CC adapter and let the batteries reload for 24 hours.

  However, after 24 hours, battery LED icon is orange and blinks (which means that the battery is low according to the user manual).
  When I tried to turn on the laptop without the adapter DC laptop computer did not respond. So I installed Vista while the laptop was still connected to the DC adapter.

  Hey guys,.

  I have a Satellite A500-02 running on Windows 7 Home Premium.

  So I got a virus today and here is what happened:

  1. on the taskbar, I normally libraries pinned there, this icon became a white Notepad and when I clicked on it, he said he was no longer there and asked if I wanted to remove. I clicked Yes.
