However, laptop was hooked to the power cable and the green light indicated the laptop power. Seeing of battery orange flashing intermittently, but the laptop is not in mode 'sleep'. Just bought a laptop Toshiba L550-1CC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed.
Other software had been installed on the 64-bit version and then the laptop crashed and seem to start with the OS but with a blank screen and only the Courvite of mice showing that could be moved.

Unfortunately, the laptop came with a Windows recovery disc 7 32 bit only.
This has been used to charge the cell phone who then worked well with all the software loaded into the hard.

It's my wife's new laptop and she would in reverse on the 64 bit version of Windows 7 which did not appear in the Toshiba recovery disc.

The partition of the HARD drive in the laptop has always hidden for access 64-bit original software and can make you a 64-bit recovery disc while the Toshiba is still running on 32-bit software. Having received only the new laptop, that I didn't want to spend another £30 on the purchase of a 64-bit recovery disc?

There have been any help to settle this with gratitude because I get heckled by the boss.

    Chris

    Hi Prassky,

If you start the recovery of HARD drive option, you should be able to restore Windows 7 64 bit. So I agree with Timox.

But I have a question: why you didn t create the recovery disk Toshiba for Windows 7 64 bit first? It seems that you didn t read the user manual

Anyway, to start the HARD drive recovery and hope that you will be able to create the recovery disk. If this isn't the case, you must order the Toshiba disk.

  • Satellite A200-1CC - battery will not charge

Hi, I use an A200-1CC of 2 years. Last week he stopped for inlight the blue battery LED. The system wouldn't start more or would crumble within 10 seconds. I bought a new battery, assuming that he had died. New battery - same problem. With the battery in place the yellow battery LED is displayed for 5 to 10 seconds and disappears again. System works just fine without the battery in place.

Any idea what the error might be?

    Hello

I think the best way is for to go you through a local authorized service provider. I mean you already tried another battery but it doesn t work.
Technicians can check your mobile and exchange of parts if necessary.

To me, this looks like a motherboard problem but the ASP that will better.

    Good luck!

  • CD/DVD AutoPlay does not not on Satellite L550-1CC

    Hello

AutoPlay does not appear when you insert a disc in the CD/DVD drive or use a USB more.
He used be ok up to 3 months ago.
I don't remember if I did anything to get rid of AutoPlay.

It is a satellite L550-1cc, windows 7. 64-bit operating system.

I went into Control Panel / hardware & audio / Auto Play and Auto Play's Ticked the box for all.
    Still no Auto game
Then go into My Computer directions click on DVD - RW drive / properties / material / click on TSST corp CD DVGW
TS-L633C. The display now indicates "this device now works correctly.
But there is STILL no Auto play.

Please anyone know where to go to the next, I'm lost?

    Thanks Martin

The AutoPlay option isn't appearing any more in Win 7 under the CD/DVD drive properties.
Auto Play located in the Panel as you suggested above.

    Panel-> AutoPlay
Here you must check the option called reading auto use for all devices and media

Now if you want to listen to an Audio CD, you must choose a default application for Audio CD. Here, change the option called choose a default of Windows Media Player, in case you want to use this software for automatic playback.

    Hi shaun1d,

Have you noticed some unusual noise from the HARD drive?

    Have you looked there already?

Is this a vista problem, a problem of battery or motherboard?

Because with the ca on the laptop works very well. Any ideas how to make sure that if it a battery issue?

    Thank you

    Hi blackmodjo,

What happens if you connect the AC/DC adapter, while the laptop is turned off? The battery will be charged or not?

If this isn't the case, it seems to be a malfunction of the battery. It s already 2.5 years that you wrote and the battery can be charged only up to 500 times. After that, it must be replaced.

New battery should t be so expensive. Just ask a service provider allowed in your country, and guys will help you to get a new one.

Have you tried to calibrate the battery?
Discharge the battery completely (Note: disable the standby and hibernation in order to prevent Notepad to enter these modes automatically).
Then load it again reappear several times in the line

If that doesn't do it, try a new battery

  • Satellite Pro L10 battery did not reach full charge

I need to know the best place to start to spend money!

Some experience that may or may not apply to:
-Battery system is around 2.5 years
-The battery lasts about 1 to 1.5 hrs that seems fair considering his age and his level of violence (left connected permanently and not recycled periodically)
-Very recently would not pass, with or without the power adapter connected. Solved by removing AC, then the battery, running on AC, then turn off and reinsert the battery. Everything now works on battery or AC.
-Over problem, system has been itself decommissioned at random. Since the resolution of the problem of market it was not randomly turned off itself, YET!

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

HM, sounds to me like a hardware problem. But the problem is to understand where exactly the error, if you have the following options:

    * Contact a service partner chartered for a hardwarecheckup and an accurate diagnosis of your machine ([http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ASP_SUPPORT])
    * You can buy a new battery (since it could be the battery, I guess)
    * You can sell this machine on ebay and buy a new one :)

Hope I could give you some new and fresh ideas. There is almost no other options or solutions, the it s so your choice.

    Greetings

  • Satellite L655-13V - battery does not charge

I have laptop Satellite L655-13V and the battery does not charge while I plugged the AC/DC adapter.
and give me this status: "plugged in, not charging."
And when I connect the battery only work on computer, and when I connect the AC/DC adapter only without battery the computer works also.

But when I connect the battery and plugged to the AC/DC battery adapter not charging and give me this status: "plugged in, does not support".

Please, help me to overcome this problem.

    Hello

Leave the AC adapter plugged into the laptop for a longer period of time.
In many cases, the battery may not start to demand immediately, as his deeply discharged.
In this case the adapter must be connected to the laptop for a long period of precharge the battery, then the battery should start loading as usual.

The point is that, after a long period of use of each battery stops the functionality.

My battery in the laptop of 5 years is not working too.
I could replace it, but I use the old good classic as a desk for laptop and it s still connected to the power adapter so I put t need a new battery.

  • Satellite A135-S4666 battery does not charge

I recently had a problem with my laptop when the AC adapter is dead, which I needed purchase off eBay which is OEM TOSHIBA, however, the part number is a little diff, but all specifications seem to be the same power rational and compatible with other numbers.

in any case, I plugged it in and now my battery doesn't charge all the way stops at 95% and did not have a lot of life in it.
I updated the bios on the Toshiba site to see if it would fix it but no luck.
Is it not possible that the AC adapter and battery both would fail at the same time? Or is their thing I need to check?

Also off topic, anyone know which cuts the power to stop free of charge to the battery?
Is it the battery or the AC adapter once, it reached a limit this kind of farm its self off?

    > Would it not be possible that the AC adapter and battery both would fail at the same time?
Everything is possible. In your case it would be really a bad luck if the two parties begin to malfunction at the same time!
In any case, this problem could be related to a dysfunction of the accumulator and should check it out.

    > Also off topic, anyone know which cuts the power to stop free of charge to the battery?
If the battery is fully charged and then the loading process stops automatically. Everything is controlled by electronic power on the motherboard

    Hello

I'm quite sure that in your case, the malfunctioning of the equipment is responsible for your problem mobile m.
What part of the equipment may be defective?

It's not easy to say I guess that some essential components like motherboard, but also of the parts connected to the motherboard as RAM modules could cause this problem.

The replacement of RAM is very delicate.
So if you want to test if the new RAM modules would solve the problem, I recommend you to visit a few points of it Department in your city just to check if that part can be the troublemaker.

In my opinion it is not worth buying some parts laptop just to check if they are really defective part must be controlled before you do a purchase

I bought TOSHIBA Satellite A65-S1062 a few days, but it was not new.
And now I have a problem with loading the battery = (first of all, I reinstalled the operating system (windows xp sp2) and tried to install all the drivers, but I had problems with 'save energy'.

Initially the indicator in the Panel showed 6% of load and wile installing the programs that I checked the indicator, is perhaps half an hour, he showed at 7% and everything would be ok but within an hour he showed me the 0%, and it does not change for 2 days already.

I checked my computer with "everest" and he showed the wear level - 25%, but what is interesting, it shows the different load (150 mW to 20000 mW) capacity rate appears as 150mWh (0%).

In my opinion the battery is malfunctioning because it s old.

My 6-year old s battery no longer works it shows what he s is fully charged, but the laptop can run only 1 min using the battery power
After that the battery is empty.

It s nothing unusual! Sooner or later each battery would die!
