Re: Satellite P750-103 very hard to type on this keyboard

Hello

I bought a P750-103 two days and I find very difficult to type on this keyboard.

When I press the keys on the corners, sides, or even a bit far from the center of the button, it does not work.
I tried keyboard Toshiba R840, resembling the P750 and I can tap on anywhere in the keys and it works.

Another person who has bought the same laptop I encounter the same problem as well.
Is there a reason for this behavior? Is this normal?

I get used to or get another laptop instead of this one? I have 15 days to decide if I'll keep the P750 or get a new one.

Best regards
Manuel Felicio.

Hello

Are you sure that you have pressed the buttons at the end? Have you noticed the contact button?
I don't know Mr. what could cause this; Maybe this problem of s keyboard.
Maybe you could test an other P750 in the shop
Another option could be ASP from Toshiba. You could contact the guy in your country and may request verification of keyboard

Welcome them

    Hello

    I have problem with my notebook Satellite P750 - 10 c with S/N: 4B478828K.
When I enabled AHCI in the BIOS, computer slows diametrically, day after day was worste and worste, so I tried to change from AHCI to IDE and it helped a little, but is still not good.

I tried to restore my system, but it did not help.
I read that Intel has released a version tapped for Sandy Bridge chipset, I have (HM65) SATA 3Gbs problem (I just checked in HD Tune and HARD drive is connected to the port of 3Gbs), so I think I got bugged version.

My laptop is not guaranteed, but Intel said they changed valid version, so where do I return my phone to fix.

    Kind regards
    Tomek

    > I read that Intel launched buggy version of the chipset for Sandy Bridge.
The problem was a Cougar Point of Sandy Bridge chipset and not the main processor Sandy Bridge.

In addition Intel said that this issue affected only the SATA 2 to 5 and not ports 0 and 1.
Most laptops use only two devices SATA (HDD/SSD and ODD) using the affected ports 0 and 1.
That is why I think that your problem could be linked to the issue of Cougar Point the Sandy Bridge chipset.

By the way: not all Intel Sandy Bridge chipsets have been affected.

    Regarding your question:
Usually if AHCI is enabled, the HARD drive must use the performance of SATA. If compatibility mode, the HARD drive would go at the speed of the IDE.
I think your problem is perhaps related to the problem drive HARD and not Intel problem.

  • Satellite P750-103 - overheating

    Hello

I bought my computer a under a year now and it's just really hot. I mean, to the point where it's really uncomfortable to keep my hands on it. In addition, this happens without even be playing (obviously not too aggressive but still highly unusual for simple web browsing). In addition, when I play it feels like it is just to have a cooling system (when running nVidia graphics) and some time after that I closed the game, he remembers pushing the cooler. I'm getting worried because I've already lost a laptop on a overheat and, even if it was an old laptop, I fear that could happen to this news.

What should I do and covered such a problem (I am Portuguese and I bought my computer here so warranty of 2 years applies).

Thanks in advance for any help...

Is somehow blocked when you use your laptop computer (cooling ventilation) of the cooling system?

Normally when the laptop is placed on the desktop and nothing, blocks of cooling portable events will be able to take a breath and material will be cooled properly. I put t know how I can you use your laptop, but I know of two cases where people were responsible for the laptop computer overheating.

  • Satellite P750 - how to disable the volume control beep?

    Hi all

I'm about to buy a Satellite P750, but one thing bothers me about this model. When the volume control keys are used there is a too beep each time that his press. s there is sort of this deactivation via software or BIOS settings?

I asked around, but sales people I have talked to don't know and I don't have time to travel around to find an expert on Toshiba laptops.

Any help would be appreciated to greaetly. Thank you.

    Hello

On model previous laptop (Satellite P500) there is an option in the BIOS to disable the beep of the volume control buttons.

You should find it in the BIOS-Advanced-Online System Configuration online. There is an option called beep that you can disable.

Can you confirm this option on Satellite P750?

Can you help with this problem?

    Hey,.

What operating system is currently installed? You use the operating system preinstalled Toshiba or another?

The touch buttons are controlled by added value package. If you reinstall the package that they should work again especially the Toshiba recovery image is installed.

Have you checked the BIOS if there is an option for enlightened buttons? You should active defined and also to load the default settings.

  • Satellite P750 PSAY1A: how to create the recovery Toshiba on the new HARD drive partition

    Hello

I have an old Toshiba Satellite P750 (PSAY1A-01Y022). I just upgraded my memory from 4 GB to 8 GB and am preparing to take my 500 GB HARD drive 1 TB. I had to order the disk online and wait to happen.

I always try to understand how to create the arrival of my new HARD drive Toshiba Recovery Partition. I do the same thing for an old book, I handled based on something similar to it's original factory State.

I have reflected on the recovery partition, but does not know how it was created. It is not NTFS. Does anyone have experience in the creation of a Toshiba Recovery on a new HARD drive Partition?

And the help is very appreciated.

    Thanks and regards,
    Dinesh

Recovery partition can be created when you use the original Toshiba Recovery disk and install recovery image. Before the partitions to boot OS install will be automatically created, recovery image copied on a recovery and then partition as last step recovery image installation starts.

A sort of migration of files from one to the other HARD disk is not solution.

Only for laptop with factory will work and the usable recovery partition.

  • Satellite 2400-103 - what is the maximum size of HARD drive?

    Hi all.
    New here.

Nobody knows what the maximum hard disk size is for a Satellite 2400-103? This laptop has a 30GB HARD drive which is complete at the moment and I'm moving to a 160 GB unit.

Used software - DiskCopy - clone Moose 30 GB of cloning to the new 160 GB drive. This creates a partition on the disk that is the same size as the original (about 28GB). If the new hard drive is installed on the laptop at this point, the laptop will be start OK. If I use a partition manager - Partition Magic - to resize the partition to the size of the new disc (about 150 GB) then the laptop does not start.

Would it because there is a limit on the size of the hard disk supported by this laptop?
If so, what is the limit?

    Thank you and best regards.

    Mike

    Hello!

Satellite 2400 is very old notebook, so I think it has a limitation of LBA 28 bits. This means that you can only use up to 128 GB of free space so the maximum capacity of the disc HARD would be 120 GB. So I think that's the reason why the computer laptop can-t start successfully with the 160 GB model.

In your case I bring back the 160 GB model to the computer store and ask one another 120 GB one. It should work normally

    Good bye

  • Re: Question of HDD SATA of Satellite P750 - 02Q (type and number)

Hi, I think to upgrade the hard drive of my Satellite P750 - 02Q, but I know not what SATA type it is (SATA I or SATA II and SATA III), and how disc can support? I think to slot in a SSD drive in there, but if she can support the SATA 2 drives, I can use the 750 GB drive at 5400 RPM existing as the second storage device.

    Appreciate your thoughts/responses.

    Thanks in advance!

Remove the HARD drive and built-in HARD drive. On the disk label, you can find all the info. Buy the HARD drive, but with more capacity.
I more older P500 and cannot say with certainty whether your P750 can be improved with the second HARD drive. If so there must be coverage of HARD drive to the second HARD drive. Remove it and check if the HARD drive connector is available.

  • How to change the Satellite L670D-103 using new SSD 80 GB HARD drive?

    Hello

I have a Satellite L670D-103 with a 320 GB HARD drive running at 5400 RPM which is too slow for me.

So I plan to change this factory by a new SSD HDD to increase the performance of the overall system :)

But as the SSD are expensive, I have only a 80 GB SSD.

I built the recovery on a USB media and I want to use it to restore my system to the new SSD (I previously did the space needed to ensure that all data can be stored on my new SSD 80 GB space; p)

Retrieving SSD partitioning new procedure is done without error, but when copying image to restore data to freshly created the partition, one not enough space error stop the process!

It seems that the recovery procedure is possible on a hard drive that is equal or superior to the original size of the disk (320 gb).

So, how can I restore mysystem on my new SSD?

    Thank you
    Stéphane.

    > It seems that the recovery procedure is possible on a hard drive that is equal or superior to the original size of the disk (320 gb)

To my knowledge, you have different recovery options:

(* 1) * recovery of factory default software

    (a) recovery to out of box state
    (b) recovery without changing the HARD drive partitions
    (c) recovery of a custom size partition

    (* 2) * "erase the HARD drive.

I think that if you choose factory default software recovery of-> recovery to out of box state then the recovery would create exactly the same size of partition on the new SSD which were available on the 320 GB HARD drive.
I think this might be the reason why you have received this message.

Perhaps you need to choose the 3rd option Recovery on a custom size partition

    What do you think?

    TIA

    Hi TIA

I'm a bit confused. Your device comes with 20 GB of HARD drive. Usually, there is problem if someone wants to build in the HARD drive with a much higher capacity. The disc HARDER it who are you talking is just with 4.3 GB. Why you want to use this HARD drive on your device?

My opinion is that if you want to exchange the HARD drive, you must use the same as one with a higher capacity. This small, you can use as disk external DRIVE for backup of data.

I cleaned my fan more than those and updated all my drivers. The games don't require high performance.

    Hey Buddy,

First of all I have to say it s normal absolutley that this fan works on the highest level if you start a game or which videos to high resolution as processor and graphics card performance is required. So don't worry about it, it of normal.

Regarding your problem, that the screen went black it could be a problem with the cooling fan. How did you clean the notebook exactly?
Normally this can be done with a jet of compressed air as described here:
