Re: Satellite R630 - rejects the USB

Hello

yesterday, I bought a new laptop. A perfect piece, I really like it. The only problem I have is that when I want to use my USB, laptop takes it first, but a few seconds later he rejects. And so on and so forth. The effect it creates, it is that he constantly gives her a who said he found a usbstick. I can't copy a folder until the laptop rejects the usb key. Quite annoying.

Someone?
Thank you!

Hi Szyn,

Yes, I can understand you it s really annoying. This t shouldn't happen normally

In any case, I think you should try updating the chipset driver. Maybe something messed with by the chipset drivers and drivers USB don t work properly anmoyre

I would check for the latest chipset drivers from Toshiba Web site and download them. Start the installation and follow the instructions on the screen.

If you have any other questions, you can post again ;)

    Hi all

I just tried to connect my Satellite R630 with my LCD TV with a HDMI cable. However, the image on the TV was not all screen, with the HDMI 1 port (my TV has 3 HDMI ports), there was still the black space of 1.5 inches.

I was wondering if there is anything I missed? The connection with the TV was very good with a good old VGA cable. Thanks for any advice.

  • Satellite R630-135 - the film stops when lightweight laptop circulation

When you watch a movie, if there is slight movement, i.e. bus or plane, that he stops playing. Never happened on my old laptop.

Anyone knows what is the cause? Thank you very much

    Hi Margaret_2,

I m not 100% sure if it s the right answer for you but I think that what you hear is not a bug, it s a feature! ;)

The stops are caused by the Toshiba HDD protection utility. If you move the laptop, the head of the HARD drive will be moved to a safe position to reduce the risk of damage.

Utility of disk protection HARD offers different levels and you have to choose another level to allow better protection.
After that, the videos should t stop more. :)

    Hello

As far as I know the Satellite R630 supports USB 2.0
Only a few models support USB 3.0, but this should be replaced in the future.
Of my knowledge that the Portege R700 supports a docking connector which allows you to use a USB 3.0 controller.

Seems that you have to wait a bit if you want a laptop with a USB 3.0
But I think it's worse to wait because a maximum of 3 USB, 0-Port flow 2.5 times the speed of a USB 2.0 Port.

Of course, you will need to connect a USB device to USB 3.0 to get this performance

  • Need windows 7 32 bit for Satellite R630 - 11L

Can someone help me locate the 32-bit drivers for Windows 7 for Satellite R630 - 11L,
I have not found for windows 7 64 bit

    Hello

I didn t find a full range of Win 7 32 bit drivers for Satellite R630 on the European driver Toshiba page as you say, just 64-bit drivers are available.
You can try to install 64-bit drivers on Win 32 bits of the system. In many cases, this should be possible.
In cases where this is not possible, try drivers from other series of satellites
    It s worth a try

But why do you want to switch to 32-bit? 64 bit OS is better if your computer supports 4 GB of RAM or more

  • Satellite R630: USB stick recognized not always connected to Dynadock U10

    Hello

In the work we use laptops Toshiba Satellite R630 with U10 Dynadocks.

We recently started role on the Bitlocker encryption using USB flash drives.
The idea being that we will have two flash drives - one for when it is out of the office and the other who will stay plugged into the Dynadock for when at the office.

Many of our users have problems with the drive that is plugged into the Dynadock Windows does not seem to recognize at the start.
If we remove the drive from the Dynadock and plug it into the port on the laptop, then it works great.

Some of our users work great so its definitely possible for Windows read the Dynadock disc when starting, but for others it isn't.

    Hello

Toady, I just bought Satellite R630-13u and I tried to use the built-in webcam, but the quality is vey very poor, even in the right place of light. I tried to call my self through Skype iphone and my laptop, the quality of the image in the iphone is larger than the cell phone!

I'll take the comture downtown sevirce to check that there should be some settings to adjust or a sticker placed on the camera where I can not remove it?

your help is appreciated int his case

    concerned,

    Hello

It's not easy to talk about the quality of the webcam without seeing and you shouln t compare the quality of the webcam with different products. The built-in webcam is very small compared to USB webcams or very practical cameras.

But you can improve the quality of the webcam: I found an interesting article about it on the Forum from Toshiba:

  • Satellite R630-13 t - lack of recognition of USB

    Hello

I have a portable Satellite R630-13 t. sometimes when I insert a USB key into the USB port, Windows 7 recognizes it, but he loses in a few seconds, as the discoveries it once again and loses it and all even more. When this happens, two USB ports produce the same error. I checked, the USB key was inserted firmly into the slot, so it shouldn't be a connection problem. Other times, the memories work perfectly. Any idea?

    Thanks in advance,
    valaki

    Hey,.

    > Sometimes the pendrives work perfectly
It seems therefore that the USB ports are ok and the problem must be the USB itself. Have you tested the same as that on another computer?

  • Satellite R630-13R - coupling to the Bluetooth headset

I just bought a Satellite R630-13R and I can't drive a pair of headphones Bluetooth HP. The headset works on my Lenovo Thinkpad (also Windows 7) without any problem.
On Tosh, the work of the pairings, the system stops for audio setting then fails and suggest trying again. I downloaded and installed the last stack of BT on the Toshiba site.

If anyone has any ideas to point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful.

    Hi tonymbrady,

As far as I know Satellite R630-13R doesn't have Bluetooth module according to the specifications on the site Web of Toshiba so I think that you need a USB Bluetooth dongle to connect to your Bluetooth devices

But I m wondering how you can pair without internal Bluetooth module

  • No 3D video on external projector not connected to the Satellite R630 - 14H

    I bought a projector that supports 3D 1080 p videos.
I plugged in my laptop Toshiba Satellita R630 - 14H with a HDMI cable which should also support 3D.
I used reading software that should also support 3D and downloaded a few demos to the SBS format.

But when I play these videos, they are really displayed side by side and not as 3D.
When I say the beamer from 2D to 3D, it always says that the entrance is not in 3D.
The program of Intel graphics driver that has been pre-installed lists a 3D option.

What version of HDMI the R630 - 14 H uses?
    Support 3D-video?
    Am I missing something else?

    > I plugged into my laptop Toshiba Satellite R630 - 14H with a HDMI cable which should also support 3D.

Where did you get or find information about the 3D on this laptop support?
Technical data Toshiba Satellite R630 - 14 H says that this support unit unit internal Intel HD graphics.

Sorry mate but this isn't 3D capable graphics card and I don t think 3D release would be possible.

To be able to use an external 3D monitor or projector, you would need a laptop with compatible 3D graphics card. For example a GPU nVidia Driver compatible 3D display, (NVIDIA 3D Vision Kit) 3D glasses and 3D compatible monitor or projector (120 Hz).

  • Flashing BIOS R830 Satellite on the Satellite R630

    I have a version of Bios R830 - 1GZ 3.70 THIS Version 1.50
And also a R630 - 138 BIOS version 2.20 THIS Version 1.60 (this is the most up to date for this discontinued model version).

The elders will recognize my WD Storage for what it is--it is an external HARD drive. And the boot in the bios shows below the HARD drive priority internal - that is what you expect for a correct operation.

The last (R630) will always attempt to boot from storage of WD. It does not show the WD HARD drive in the list of Bios Boot priority.

I can't continue to disconnect and reconnect the USB in the R630 - but it's a nuisance. I don't know that the problem down to the BIOS is not quite new. What would be the likely result of the turn signals version 3.70 - designed for the R830, on the R630?

I expect to be told that he will make the inoperable R630. These laptops are very similar, so I hope someone might have a more promising response.

    Thanks for your help

    First of all:
You can download only from the page driver BIOS Toshiba UE Toshiba victory.
This means that you can update the BIOS only when running windows system.

    Second:
It is not possible to update the BIOS R830 on the R630 since there is a protection which break the process flash because of compatibility issues.

    Thirdly:
You could damage the laptop if you would try update BIOS wrong (perhaps using the traditional version of BIOS, USB version, etc.)
So it is really bad, bad idea, that

My problem is that my USB is plenty of time to read the USB keys.

Could you please help me to solve this problem.

Sorry, but for me the question is not clear enough... Satellite A200 recognizes the connected USB MemoryStick?
If he recognizes the USB device connected, then everything seems to be OK.

By the way: you said that the laptop needs a lot of time reading the USB...
How long does it take and have you checked if the number is displayed using different USB ports and different flash memory sticks?
