  I just bought this laptop (Toshiba Satellite L755) and I had to get it back by 4... recovery disks, but I discovered the first recovery disc is damaged and I know not just why...   I recently bought a Satellite L755 with integrated nVidia graphics card. The screen had recently pink/green tint everything except a cm Strip flooring upstairs.

  I recently bought a satellite L755-1 DR and everything is ok, but the WiFi is really weak.   The Auguste user had the same problem with the Atheros WLan card and the driver update has solved this problem. You said you've already tried this, but maybe you didn t use the updated driver.

  Also try to disable the option: leave the laptop turn off the WIFI device in order to save the battery.
  This can be found in the device-> Wlan card Properties Manager

  I order the recovery CD (Win7 Home Premium 64) and the start of disc 1. After the DOS window, windows starts but then stay with a black window.

  Same effect at boot to the hard drive (I have try all the possibilities of repair).

  Boot from the restore on another PC CD work.
  Remove the hard drive the Satellite L755 and boot from the restore CD works! (of course only up to the recovery tool will access the harddisc :-)).
  Try to access the hard disk via Linux bootable DVD works - I made a backup.

  Do someone have any idea?
  I do not think that a deletion of the win partition and full installation again solve the problem...

  The whole story is a bit confusing for me.
  If you have tested all combinations to try one last: get another HARD drive, put it in your L755, value default BIOS settings and try to install the recovery image using recovery discs.

  I have been for long the my Satellite L755 HDMI connection to a TV, but a few days ago it stopped working. The laptop detects the TV and identifies it as Samsung, but there is no signal on the TV screen.

  Outputs HDMI to the TV and cable are ok because I can run other devices. Tried to activate HDMI thanks to push "FN" + "F5" key (I choose the TV screen), changed the resolution, updated Nvidia drivers, nothing works. My OS is Win7 64.

  I know that the only signal is seen on TV, the screen is when I restart the computer; the I can see on the image on the screen of the TV for a few seconds (while "starting windows" is displayed) and not good image, with lots of red vertical lines on the screen. After a few seconds, no signal again on the TV screen

  Can anyone help? Maybe it's a hardware failure?
  The laptop is no longer under warranty.

  It is not easy to say what may be wrong with that. I think that it will help much, but have you tested the feature with different HDMI ports on the TV?
  Have you tried to roll back the OS (System Restore) to an earlier time when everything was OK?

  On this virtual path, that it is not possible to provide the diagnostic but ultimate test right, you can do if you reinstall OS using original recovery image and test in functionality with the factory settings.

  Also, is it normal that at the speed of the fan, there only Core0 with its temperature in the home page?
  Is it possible to keep the processor at high frequency? Because with cpu - z, it's 800 mhz, most of the time...

  Did you put the default BIOS after update BIOS?
  What access the BIOS (F2) and in the BIOS, press F9 for default settings.
  Press F10 to save the changes and exit the BIOS.

  If this isn't the case, I recommend you to reinstall the OS using Toshiba recovery disc.
  By default the BIOS settings and reinstall the OS.

  After that what you do will have own OS preinstalled and no anyomore disorders.
