Really fast CF cards drive?

My client needed very fast transfers of several CF cards simultaneously and asked me to provide and support the Sonnet Qio-CF4 for him.  The thing is a beast on paper, transfers of up to four CF cards in a PCIe 2.0 connection line speeds x 1 or close to 400 MB/s total.

The only problem, he regularly freezes the system when you remove the CF card and put in new ones.  The mouse cursor is always moving; nothing else does.  The system is HP Z820 with two Xeon 8-core, 64 GB of RAM and is stable also.  It is not plug-and-play: you need to 'find the hardware changes' to recognize the cards inserted, or to use own app of the Sonnet to do this.  This is when the system freezes usually.

In addition, transfers max out at about 55 MB/s by card so that transfers of card even to 75 MB/s using a card reader based FireWire800 CF.  Therefore not as fast as they claim it is.  Frost makes a solution not cultivable.

Sonnet said the device is not compatible with the Z820 even if it is listed as "not tested" on their compatibility table.  They said it is not compatible with the 3.0 Z820 PCIe slots and still come back to me to tell me if it is compatible with the slot in the Z820 solo PCIe 2.0 (No.20 on the graphic).

Everyone out there doing similar things and having recommendations for parallel fast CF card transfers?  Ideally something you really tried.

Requirements: 3-4 CF card transfers simultaneously to the same system to 70 MB/s.

Thank you!

I would have tried this: http://www.addonics.com/products/cf_cfast_drive.php

You'll have six ger * independent * CF-slots, each nail up to a * separate * contact/SATA card. *

On the Z820 are for some strange reason attached to the SAS ports. I have personally attached internal disks to the SATA ports - I can't take advantage of speeds SATA3. The SAS is speced to 6 Gbit/s in the Z820, but the writing on the SAS ports speed is not as good as the SATA ports. (The Z800 internal drives are attached to the SATA ports).

Point is, use SAS ports for the reader to SEE to get the best speeds of reading and don't foget that CF cards have the largest role. If you have the Sandisk Extreme speeds will be a bit slow. If you are using the Extreme Pro it is much faster and therefore worth the price.

I know it works like charm on a Z400 equipped with an e-SATA card. But it is limited to a single card in time: http://www.addonics.com/products/aepddesu.php

EDIT:

I forgot: I have not tested the CF / CFast player but one of my clients uses the Pocket eSATA/USB DigiDrive attahed to e-SATA on a daily basis without problems in a big post production house. That's why I recommend products from Addonics.

* UM, it seems that the CF / CFast Drive is intended primarily as an option to use Cf cards as a storage device or to combine CF cards in fast storage. I couldn't find any info such as "...". You can use it as a CF Reader as well. ». I suggest you to contact them to see if it is possible to use it as a reader of CF.

The cooling fan is controlled by the fan table in the BIOS. Fan table contains information about the temperature and the fan speed that means the depands on some level temperature fan speed.
Over all the possible game features as the CPU, GPU, produce heat and the heat dissipation is high
Cooling modules would begin to turn faster if the temperature level would be exceeded
This is nothing exceptional everything at stake

As the indicated error hardware acceleration must be supported by the video card

your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update

Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers

    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

    No upgrade

I recently did the upgrade of the driver of the Doc and found things that I didn't exist on my computer, which was given to me by my nephew.  He turns quiet and really did not have any complaints until after that I did the upgrade of the driver of the Doc.  Now, that sounds like a grinding machine.  I was told that when I talked about Facebook, I need to update my sound card driver.  I did a search to see what it means, but I am not prepared to do right now.  Can someone reassure me that it will be an easy fix?

Could be a problem of fan cooling, remove the side cover of the tower and see if you can see or hear the sound is coming from.

My advice would be the same. Certainly, it looks like a fan at the origin of the problem. Fans get older they intermittently can make noise. This would explain why you hear sometimes and not others.

Furthermore, to see if your sound card, causing the noise (which I doubt), just turn off all your speakers when you hear the noise. If the sound stops immediately, it's actually a sound card related question.

There are often several fans inside the computer.  There will be one which is part of the power supply. Sometimes one or more attached to the casing of the computer itself (usually the Panel that you remove the first and one on the front of the case.)  There will probably be one on top of the CPU (central processing unit), as well as on the video card.

Not recommended advice (which I did before) - gently tap on the center of the fan that you suspect is making noise. Jiggleling it will sometimes make noise to stop. In this case, you know which fan needs to be replaced.

Even worse advice (which I also done before) - take a small piece of wood (for example, a 1/4-inch dowel rod) and insert slowly into the fan to keep it from turning. If the noise stops, you have found the fan that needs to be replaced. Remove the stick to regularize quickly because he will always try to run and we don't want it burn.

If you can't find that a fan is causing trouble you want to replace as soon as possible because it will eventually stop working and cause one or more components in your computer to overheat.

  • Realtek PCI card driver crashes

I was do bluescreen and I crashes quite regularly on my new laptop. Unfortunately, they started appearing just after the day 14 return period, so I'm stuck with the thing now. Although a specific solution for this problem is not available at this time, Realtek Semiconductor Corp. recommended to check its Web site for support information and updates of product.

I have updated the driver to the latest version. Who has not solved the problem. System Restore has not solved the problem. Accidents still happen while running the computer in safe mode. The system has processors Duo 2,4 Ghz, 4 GB ram, 64-bit of Windows Vista. I had service pack 2, but I'm back to service pack 1 after you restore the system. The update does not resolve the problem. • How should I address slow games due to hardware acceleration / video card driver incompatibility?

When I connect play games such as Spades and backgammon, it is very slow, I don't enjoy the experience.  before starting the game, I get the following message: "hardware acceleration is disabled or not supported by the video card driver".  I desperately need help to solve this problem!

    Hi Julenile,

Thanks for the post.   It seems that you have a problem with the settings of graphics card. Please answer the following questions, it will help us in the right direction.

Do you know what brand and model of video card you have?

Find the name of your video card is, and then go to the manufacturer website and download the latest driver for this video card. Make sure you get one that corresponds to your version of Windows 7.

Most video cards have some type of control panel of their own which are accessible by right-clicking anywhere on the desktop. But without knowing what you have the video card, we cannot really talk about hardware acceleration.

Should the adapter or the video card supports hardware acceleration and if the appropriate drivers must be installed.   If your graphics (video device) enables hardware acceleration, you can read the following steps to enable hardware acceleration.

    a. Click Start, click Control Panel.

    b. double-click personalization and select display settings.

    c. click on Advanced settings.

    d. click change settings on the Troubleshooting tab.

    e. move the Hardware Acceleration slider to Activate.

    f. click apply and then click OK to accept the new setting and close the dialog box.

    g. click OK to close the display properties dialog box.

    h. restart Windows.

    I hope this helps.

  • Satellite P200 accidents + message: graphic card driver does not work properly

    Hello

hope that this issue has not been covered before, but I've owned a Satellite P200 for 3 years now, and this week, it crashes all the time.

When it started going down he gave me a few messages in the sense of "your graphics card/driver does not work properly and windows will be arrested to avoid damage.

It has progressed to the point where now when I turn it on, I have vertical lines running down the screen and the screen flashes on and outside. Within 20 seconds, it restores the BSOD - 'there was a problem and windows will be arrested. Error Page_Fault_In_Non_Paged_Area"then stops.

I ran a system restore but the problem remains.

I have a feeling that my graphics card is toast. Is this good? Are there any other options to try? Thanks in advance for any answers.

    Matt

    Hello

    Sounds like the GPU problem.
But try the graphics card driver update.
Use the most recent driver for your graphics card.

In addition, clean the fans of portable computers.
Dust and debris could prevent the cooling fans to turn with the best speed and this could lead to a higher temperature which would lead to overheating.
Use a jet of compressed air. I also use it and it helps to get rid of dust and debris.

If this is not enough, then a problem of graphics chip would be possible.

This unit supports the Mobile Intel GL40 graphics card.
The latest graphics card driver can be downloaded from the Intel page.
    See the Intel Web site.

The installation of the graphics card must be made in the Device Manager.
Here, you use the Advanced installation procedure which allows to point to the driver files downloaded from the Intel page.
