Satellite P200 accidents + message: graphic card driver does not work properly
Hello
hope that this issue has not been covered before, but I've owned a Satellite P200 for 3 years now, and this week, it crashes all the time.
When it started going down he gave me a few messages in the sense of "your graphics card/driver does not work properly and windows will be arrested to avoid damage.
It has progressed to the point where now when I turn it on, I have vertical lines running down the screen and the screen flashes on and outside. Within 20 seconds, it restores the BSOD - 'there was a problem and windows will be arrested. Error Page_Fault_In_Non_Paged_Area"then stops.
I ran a system restore but the problem remains.
I have a feeling that my graphics card is toast. Is this good? Are there any other options to try? Thanks in advance for any answers.
Matt
Hello
Sounds like the GPU problem.
But try the graphics card driver update.
Use the most recent driver for your graphics card.
In addition, clean the fans of portable computers.
Dust and debris could prevent the cooling fans to turn with the best speed and this could lead to a higher temperature which would lead to overheating.
Use a jet of compressed air. I also use it and it helps to get rid of dust and debris.
If this is not enough, then a problem of graphics chip would be possible.

T400 Graphics Card Driver does not work
Hi, I recently bought a T400 (2764 Type) with the ATI HD 3400 graphics card and Windows XP (I don't want to run Vista). Whenever I start my computer, however, I get a message saying that the ATI card has no driver. I understand that Lenovo decided to do not pre-install the specific driver for XP and as a result I tried to download the driver from Lenovo and ATI, but doesn't seem to work. Any help would be appreciated.
The version the T400 2764 has switchable graphics. If the initial preload was Vista, switchable graphics were activated. XP does not support switchable graphics, then you must choose between the Intel card / ATI.
Lenovo supports doc, RAHUL-70665:
For switchable graphics machines, boot in the bios via F1, select config -> view and set the following parameters:
- Main default video device [internal]
- Display startup [Thinkpad LCD] *
- Graphics device [discrete graphics] *
- OS detection for switchable [disable]
* Change this setting VGA or DVI if the machine must be used on a platform of advanced
** Switchable Graphics is a feature of Windows Vista only. Set the Serial ATA to AHCI to compatibility mode (this will avoid error 0x7B BSOD on XP media starting.Terry

Satellite P200 - Product Recovery Disk 2/2 does not work
Hello
because my laptop (Satellite P200 - I bought in December 2007) does not work more properly - and when, after a lot of cleaning it still wasn't working properly - I decided to start from the beginning and restore the operating system with 2 product recovery cd / dvd.
Recovery disk 1/2 worked well - Windows Vista Home Premium product is loaded again on my computer.
But what abot * Disck2/2 product recovery? *
At one point, the recovery program calls for a 'supplement' but when I put in the product recovery disc 2/2 at this time, that the program does not recognize the disc. During the rest of the recovery program the program didn't ask for Product Recovery Disk 2/2, so the content of this CD-ROM/dvd now is not loaded on my laptop.Someone had this problem too?
What do you have on this?
Is this a problem for not loading the content of the product recovery disc 2/2 (I can go without it?)?Thanks in advance for any response!

I put t know which modules the tool called for, but AFAIK the Toshiba image contains the operating system Vista, Toshiba drivers and additional software.
So if you've recovered the laptop using the recovery disk Toshiba 1 then the laptop must be set to the SAME State as at the first day of the purchase.PS: what files you can find on the second disk?

Satellite C850-B635 and Win7 - card reader does not work
My laptop came with windows 8 and the card reader was not working
but I installed windows 7 64-bit, downloaded all the drivers on my laptop, but the card reader does not work now.I downloaded a driver called card reader controller, but it did not work as well
I don't know if there is a problem or there is a driver should I install and I don't know.
Please help me solve this problem. In my windows Device Manager, these devices is not recognized:
* PCI simple communication controller
* SM Bus controller
* Unknown DeviceI tried searching in my page to download drivers on the Toshiba Web site but could not find these
Please help me make my card reader works again.

For me, the matter is simple, and the reason why the SD card reader is not working, it's just a driver compatible isn't installed.
My theory seems to be correct, given that the SM bus controller and PCI simple communication controller appear in Device Manager and I suppose that one of these devices belongs to the player/controller of the SD card.I think that you should simply install this Realtek card reader controller that I found on the page of the Toshiba UE driver
http://Support1.toshiba-tro.de/Tedd-files2/0/CARC-20130924161048.zipIn addition, you must install all the other drivers Win 7 as well as Toshiba tools available by Satellite C850 series.
Very important is the chipset driver, USB 3.0 driver (Win 7 has this port driver to control the USB 3.0), display driver. etc.
Not very essential tools are Bulletin Board, product information online Reeltime, etc. This tools additional don t improved the performance of the laptop so its up to you if you want to use these software components

Satellite Pro A120: DVD/CD-RW drive does not work
Hello: the dvd/CD-RW drive does not work. apparently it has been disabled somehow! Any ideas on how I can turn it back on?
Have you tried the Device Manager and it says it works normally!
Any ideas please?
Thanks :)
> apparently it has been disabled somehow
I put t think that the disc has been disabled! How someone or something should turn off the drive? You have disabled the drive? I don't think so!
You said that the drive appears in Device Manager. So I guess that the drive is enabled and is recognized by the OS.
You are getting error messages or what's wrong?Perhaps the reader can read or burn CDs or DVDs.
This happens if the lens of the drive cannot calibrate properly and can not handle the inserted media.Maybe the replacement drive is required!

Satellite L670 - after Win 8 upgrade WIFI does not work properly
Afteer upgrade to Win 8, the WiFi of my Satellite L670-128 has stopped working properly.
The connection only works some time, usually only a few seconds before the connection is lost.
After a few seconds or minutes the connection is restored, just soon to be lost again.Cannot download large files or even to see larger photos on normal web pages. Is there any Win8 driver for Broadcom coming 802.11n network card, or should I throw one 2.5 year old computer in the trash?
Buy a usb-wlan card is not an option, as wireless mice is already "permanently" reserving one of the three usb ports and wlan card it would be just to the left...
To my knowledge this L670 series isn t Win 8 taken in charge and this means that there is no special Win 8 drivers for this device, so I put t think you will find an another Win 8 driver for this WLan card.
But do you really want to throw this laptop in the trash just because the wifi does not work properly running Win 8?
The device was working properly under Win 7?I would recommend running a few Wlan test.
For example; Disable wireless encryption on your router and Wifi connectivity with the open network do that just for testing purposes, perhaps you will need to change the type of encryption to test. -

Satellite L500 - 1CQ PSLS0E - CD/DVD drive does not work - driver problem?
Hello
My DVD player does not work.
There is power to it. The engine turns when I eject and reinsert. Troubleshooting Control Panel for the equipment and devices said it is a driver problem, but cannot fix it. Problem with the driver.
I reinstalled it from the Toshiba site.
It records in the right place?
I am Windows 7 64 bit and chose the right driver for it.Should I use the 64-bit?
I have 3 MB of RAM which was the spec when bought. If I wanted to change to 32 bit how you take you without the CD/DVD drive?
Is there any point in doing this?Thank you
Richard
Hello
To be honest I m a bit confused.
You are not able to boot from THE disks; Windows disk, disk recovery, disk Linux? If it of the case, then it means that your CD/DVD drive is faulty.
Why? Because the CD/DVD drive is recognized and controlled by the BIOS when booting from CD or DVD.When the Windows operating system has started, the CD/DVD drive must use the Microsoft common driver which is part of the Windows operating system.
This means that you n t need to install ALL the drivers in order to get the job of CD/DVD.If you can boot from any disk, but if the CD/DVD drive is not recognized by MY computer, then I recommend this:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/270008/en-usBefore you remove the upper and lower registry filters, remove the CD/DVD drive in Device Manager and then go into the registry and remove the filters. Restart the unit.
Good luck

Sat 1900 - CD/DVD drive does not work properly. How to solve this?
Hello :-)
I have a Toshiba Satellite 1900, bought in 2003. It has a cd/dvd drive called MAST * UJDA720.
For the last 3-4 months he was not working properly with movie DVDs. whenever a movie starts, it does not work smoothly, but in stop-and-go. First of all, I had everything again and it works fine, but lately, he never runs well and some DVD doesn't work well at all. Excuse me it I do not explain, I don't have the words in English.
But maybe someone understands me and can help. My DVD player is dirty? Is there something like a standard CD? Or do I have to give the laptop to a repair shop?
Thank you in advance, I would like to have my DVD player, back to normal - especially as I don't have a TV.
concerning
KimbazuluHello, Kerstin
If you can watch the DVD on the unit I don't think the drive is defective. I have the same unit and still work well. Stop and go while playing DVDs can be caused due to the high utilization of the processor.
Please try to start the Task Manager and check all running processes. All unnecessary processes can be stopped and on this way, the CPU will go to a lower level. If the antivir software is installed on your unit checking if this software analyzes the HARD disk and stop it.
These things together can be responsible for stop and go while playing DVD movies.
Good bye

Portege Z930 - display driver does not work properly
Hello
We have a Portege Z930 with Windows 7 64 bit in use where the Intel display driver seem to work fine.
First problem is the slow presentation on screen - if we open a (simple JPG) photo and move the window, the frame window break during the move and showed very weird.
Then, we have installed a U3.0 dynadock docking for the use of two external displays more. This method works even worse. To the docking station, we used the driver from the CD supplied in the delivery and connect to a USB 3.0 connector.
On starting switching on 2 screens instead of internally for computer laptop screen does not work - and we use workaround of using an extended desktop on all 3 displays (2 external and internal display for laptop as the third).
In Internet Explorer, it should turn off GPU Rendering and use Software Rendering rather because otherwise, we observed critical irregularities on the external screens (with 2 Windows Open the screen froze or could not display Windows Mobile). However the display isn't satisfactioning.
We have tried 3 different versions of the recommended Driver Intel which is also offered by Toshiba to download; We loaded it is there and also 2 versions more (a more recent, one older) Intel directly.
So, how can we get this working properly?
Thanks in advance and best regards,
N. CochemsMore importantly. Make sure you have Service Pack 1 installed Win7. New laptops have problems running in win7 RTM (without service pack).
It seems that Windows uses the standard VGA driver instead of the Intel driver. Uninstall all display drivers from Control Panel-> programs and features and then go to the Toshiba website and install the utility Intel Chipset then the Intel display driver, then go to DisplayLink.com and install the latest DisplayLink driver for the dynadock. The new software v7.xx DisplayLink driver fixes several issues found in v6.xx drivers.
Verify that the Intel drivers are installed properly in Device Manager.

Hello @JACK_0301 ,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that the webcam on your HP Pavilion 15 laptop does not work.
Please make sure that you use the following download to install the CyberLink YouCam software for your notebook: Cyberlink YouCam software.
Can you please tell me if there is a version of the currently installed YouCam software and the webcam works in this software?
Also, check in Device Manager for devices of imagery for any conflict with the webcam. It should display with no X,!, or? symbols on the appliance.
You can also restore the laptop to before the show began. You can do this by tapping F11, while the laptop turns on to access the HP Recovery Manager and selecting the restore option.
Let me know if it works!

External hard drive does not work properly
Hi all
It is a slightly different external HARD drive problem. I had my faithful media ATMT bin since my first laptop with XP (2003) and I bought it in 2005. It's a little wobbly as the fan vibrates a lot, but this isn't a problem. What is the problem, is that I have a windows machine 7 who thinks that drive a need to put in shape, but my previous laptop which has vista on it was absolutely no problem to read the files IN ALL and you can open one of them without a hitch. I tried to run CHKDSK I:\I (it is labeled as the I drive :) and 7 claims that it is in the format RAW. I had a look at CHKDSK on my old machine and it is in FAT32, I since changed it to NTFS, but seems to have no effect. I also tried the hunting of the drivers for the external hard drive, but I come only through links to Amazon as these things are always available.
I really need to access this drive on my current computer as the older one needs a considerable cooling method to make it work therefore the latest machine. What I also don't understand, it's that it was working absolutely fine on this machine too until quite recently. He worked on it that I need, but have not been accessed for a while and so solutions in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your time.
RM
Your drive has reached its copy by date and it works on time taken (if he is stil)
If this does not work on another PC then it's probably dead.
You can try the utility disk SeaTools from Seagate to check and see if it can detect and report on the drive

Satellite A300 - dvd, usb and card reader does not work
Help needed please.
Have a laptop Satellite A300, running vista.
Until a few weeks ago everything good, then noticed the cd did you not recognized and disk in it. The card reader can't find anything on the card (and Yes, the card was full.)
The usb scanner is recognized as an external memory card and the other usb port does not fuction.
I have not installed or don't remember changing of settings or do whatever it is the habit.
Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
Hello
Your ad is very confused.
> Until a few weeks ago everything good, then noticed the cd did you not recognized and disk in it.
Well, there are several reasons for this; It would be possible that the inserted disc is not completely compatible. Try different drives from different manufacturers.
It would also be possible that the STRANGE laser lens is dirty. In this case, you might clean using a cotton ball and alcohol tip. In my case it helped.> The card reader can't find anything on the card (and Yes, the card was full).
Did you use a compatible card? The laptop runs these cards:
8MB - 2 GB SD card
SDHC - 4 GB card
-16 MB - 2 GB xD Picture card
Memory Stick - 8MB - 256MB
Memory Stick Pro - 256 MB - 2 GB
MultiMediaCard - 8 MB - 1 GB
miniSD (with SD adapter) - 32 MB - 2 GBI recommend also to format the card and to copy files from computer, and then test this.
You can also reinstall and update the driver for the card reader controller...> The usb scanner is recognized as an external memory card
Can't believe that you must use a scanner software (must be provided with the scanner) and have to test this unit. By the way; for the most part a scanner driver must be installed in order to use this -
I rebooted and turned power off the computer several times and always get the same message. The size of the text on the screen and the icons are larger than the way in which they should appear. How can I solve this problem?
Consult the manufacturer of your so great PC OEM, for example Dell / HP or laptop and install the latest drivers.
If a visit generic PC your graphics card maker or manufacturer of the motherboard and install drivers lates
