Reboot Acer iconia W510 problem

Every time when I start my Tablet (Acer Iconia W510) after the password a message saying something like a reboot is necessary due to some problems (the message and the Tablet works very well after that and I have not noticed any reboots after the password, but maybe before).

In any case, the message said that the problems exist in the following files

C:\Windows\Minidump\063013-12703-01.dmp
C:\users\helja\appdata\local\temp\wer-31921-0.SysData.XML
C:\Windows\MEMORY. DMP

Also during the installation of some programs or updates and if the restart is required after installation of the tablet to the first encounters a problem and fails to restart at first but can solve the problem and Tablet so far started normally. (only a message that there are reboot problems but no precise information on the nature of the problem is given)

Hi Kari,

Thanks for the update.

Sometimes, between the uninstalling and reinstalling software/drivers, it's a good idea to run the Windows Disk Cleanup utility. The disk cleanup utility to free disk space by deleting unnecessary files from your computer.

Please consult the following link and remove some unwanted files:

The steps I take to the imaging process are as follows: "Change PC settings"->"update and recovery"-> "recovery"->"Advanced startup" and I click on the button 'Restart now', who sends me to a screen with three options, continue to windows 8.1, troubleshooting, and turn off your PC.

I select 'Troubleshoot '->' Advanced'-> "Image system recovery"

The Acer screen appears with "Preparation of the system image recovery" at the bottom. I sign in the administrator account when prompted to choose an account.

    Hi Ryan,

According to the description, you can not install updates and the this issue may occur if one or more of the following conditions are met:

  • Acer Iconia W510 | Demotion in Windows 8

I upgraded my Acer Iconia W510 at 10 Windows Tablet a few months ago. It was supposed to be all very well and all that, but when a month passed, funky things began to happen.

    -The Tablet would break streaming

-Taskbar is almost always does not

-Entry is very slow and registry keys after 5 seconds.

-Graphics drivers are not compatible with Windows 10

I would like to go back to windows 8, but all windows.old and all other windows 8 file was deleted...

10 Windows will not let me downgrade, because it has been more than 10 days that I used it.

Is it possible that I can downgrade to Windows 8, or am I supposed to stay with a piece of a $150 of junk?

In your win8 device, you can create recovery media that will help you to re - install win8 in win10 machine, if the recovery partition is still intact.

  • Acer Iconia W510 won't batteries

I got the W510 Iconia for a month or two, and I have a problem that the computer shuts down with no warning or anything.

Me I found the problem, because it only happens when the battery in the keyboard is very close to 0% power.

The thing is that there are 95% of the power of the Tablet battery, so it's as if the computer will not pass through one battery (the one on the keyboard) to the other (in the Tablet).

I don't know if it's a Win8 parameter or if there is something I can do?

It's really annoying, because it gives me only about 3-4 hours of battery life with the connected keyboard.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

"first of all use the docking station battery, and once she is discharged at 1%, it will move to the Tablet battery." Looks like yours does not commute. The question then becomes "where is the failover of 1%? If in the material, you have a defective unit. If the software, the issue would be to find.

For me the easiest way would be to have a switch on the printed circuit relay (with perhaps a darlington in front but discrete components.) When a good dock is connected, the tension of mooring is used to change the power source to the dock. When the dock is disconnected or goes ded the coild is greater and the main battery is attached.

The tab work main battery if you disconnect the dock?

If she then just had a wall out - thought: If you go into control panel > power > open the current plan and select "advanced options" will open an "Advanced settings" list and you will have a number of options.

I don't know if the battery of the dock is considered to be local but if a switching relay, I suspect it is. Note the switch designed ACER will be 1%. The setting of low battery on the laptop I have at the moment is low at 10% and 5% critical battery. It is possible to set the 'low battery action' to 'stop, sleep or into hibernation'.

So it is possible for Windows power management be set so as to close the tab until it reaches the passage of 1%.

    Maybe worth a visit.

PS I do not have to exhaust all the batteries completely. Personally would fix the passage will take place at 10% or more.

  • The wires for the Acer Iconia W510/W511 of power

    Hello.

Is there anyone who had to take a closer look how the wires are connected to the 12V socket?

Reason is, I would use the tablet in my garden, where the only power is my solar cell / battery of 12V of the summer.

I know that I could rip it myself, but the Tablet is still under warranty, I think not only encouraged. Also I know that I can use a UPS, but a) my inverter is noisy and b) it's a bit silly to transform 12V-->--> 12V 220V

  • Problems with Acer Iconia W5 I received

    Hi all

I got 4 Acer Iconia W5 (cannot find anything more of a model than the number) with various problems to watch.

2 of them are ok, I can get them in Windows, all right.

However, 2 of them have problems and I'm not sure how best to proceed without a USB slot

Tablet 1 - begins to start, but then says that windows did not start and takes me repair options. I tried pretty much all of them, but nothing works.  Reset your machine simply takes you to a page showing "There was a problem with resetting your PC"

Tablet 2 - customary on switch at all.  When connected to the power there is no indication he has all power connected at all.

I think that 2 tablet is just dead, but if you have any ideas, I'm happy to hear.

1 tablet should be repairable, but generally I'd stick to a bootable USB to fix, but these things have only slot for SD card and sim.

    Any help appreciated

Thought you said that you have four--the others work? If you can you use it to create a recovery flash drive and use it to repair others.

During this time with the open BIOS select "F12 at startup" so that you can tell it to start the USB.

  • Acer Iconia W700 Wi - Fi problem

    Hello world

Yesterday, I bought an Acer Iconia W700 Tablet and for some reason, the WiFi disconnets all the time. If I have the Tablet really close to the place of the wi - fi connection, it works fine but when I go into my living room, the internet disconnets or it was limited. Declinations thing I can do is open google and search for something. Internet hangs then...

It's frustrating this situation... And I was wondering if I should return it or if there is anything I can do about it. I've seen also online users complain about the same problem...

    Thanks for the help!

I would like to contribute to this topic.

I tried the following steps which have solved the problem for me:

Download the latest driver on the Acer's Support site.

S ' Please make sure that the version of the Wirelesss Lan Driver download is: 10.0.0.217

As this is a drop-down list dirver it will also improve the bluetooth to 8.0.0.214. Where the grand 220MB file size.

-Go to control panel and delete the current WLAN + bluetooth drivers.

-Once removed, you can go through and install the latest driver downloaded.

  • Iconia W510 and Windows 8.1 RTM

Hi, I tried to install Windows RTM 8.1 x 86 US of the official ISO image of Microsoft on my W510 Iconia (created the bootable flash drive), the installation worked, but the problem is that a lot of missing drivers or not after the initial installation.

I tried to apply the latest pack of pilot of pilot site of Acer, which is designed for Windows 8, but after restarting that the Tablet is most likely stuck in infinity driver GPU reboot loop, all I see is black screen and start bar blinks every second.

So the question is how to do a clean install of Windows 8.1 GTR on Iconia W510? Or should I wait until the correct driver pack for Windows 8.1 is out?

    Thank you

I just want to jump in to clarify, Windows 8.1 is not released to the public and we don't post drivers or provide support for the operating system until it is officially released by Microsoft. Pilots and other media will be available on our support to http://www.acer.com site as soon as they are available after the launch.

  • Iconia W510 is not compatible with Windows 10

My 64 GB Iconia W510 runs all the latest drivers and updates available from Acer and Microsoft.

I have the app get 10 Windows in the taskbar and planned to upgrade. When I check the compatibility of Windows 10 within the app, it says that my PC cannot install Windows 10. It says "Intel Graphics Media Accelerator - display will not work.

Other users Iconia W510 know the same and what is Acer boards?

After I started this topic I received an automated e-mail to the Board asking if she has not resolved since I got a lot of responses. No, it wasn't - but it is now.

I applied all updates from Windows Update and now the app get Windows 10 says my W510 Iconia is compatible. Update problem solved. I am aware that there is still certainly a lot of things that need to be corrected with Windows 10, but the specific problem on this issue has been resolved.

I thank all those who contributed and repost the link to ACE padgett for his answer to how to change the driver once the upgrade to Windows 10 is done:

    http://community.Acer.com/T5/Windows-tablets-and-convertibles/w3-amp-W510-Windows-10-amp-Intel-DPTF/...

Since MS now "reset" the W510 for Windows 10, I guess it will be soon added to the list of supported Windows 10 units Acer.
