recurring appointment

I want to emphasize that a particular event will occur in the same block of time over several days.  A recurring appointment is this t was called in Win &.  Who cannot do happen to win 8 R/T.  Why?

I think the closest thing is the field "How often" in the calendar application - however, it is not super strong.

Outlook has feature robust appointment of spawn - so if have an appointment you on a PC with Outlook (and this account has been added to your Surface), d events should up on your calendar of Surface.

  • Recurring appointment Set for certain days of the week each month in the calendar on Surface RT?

It seems to me that this is not possible, but is there a way I can put a recurring appointment for a certain day of the week of each month in the calendar on the Surface RT? For example, a meeting Tuesday on two or one excursion each fourth Sunday?  I know that this is possible in Outlook on a PC and I would like to do it on the Surface RT as well.  Most of my recurring appointments are of this type.  When I recur every month on the Surface, it just sets it for the same date (for example the 12th of each month) instead of the second Tuesday.  Thank you!

    Hi Lisa,

You were correct when you say that 'it seems to me that's not possible. ' The recurring appointment for some day of the week each month in the calendar on Surface RT cannot be done by date and not day.

    Good day!

  • Null MENUITEM_CALENDAR for recurring appointment context

    Hello

I have an application that adds a new menu item in the calendar view, however in OS 4.2.2 for the recurring calendar appointments a null context is passed to my ApplicationMenuItem class. If the appointment on the calendar is not recurring a BlackBerryEvent is passed.

This problem is not seen OS 4.6, i.e. a BlackBerryEvent happened to the recurring appointments in the calendar view.

My application also adds the element of menu new even to displaying event calendar and in this scenario, a BlackBerryEvent went for regular and recurring appointments.

Is this a known problem in the OS 4.2.2 for recurring calendar appointment? No matter what work-around?

    Thank you

    David

It is a known problem. The only workaround (AFAIK) is to open the event, then the context comes through properly.

  • Calendar-how to make a recurring date

How can I show the same date each month to pay a bill with just an entry on the windows calendar.

Click on file / new appointment.  On the right, enter information to date, including the date and time of beginning and end (you can make an appointment any day).  Click on the arrow down on the box next to recurrence.  Select monthly.  Add any additional information, you want the appointment and save it.  You now have your rucurring callback.

Unfortunately, this is not possible with stains, so do it with nominations.  If you actually have an appointment the same day (or want to avoid having this kind of problem), then modify the schedule recurring appointment if it happens when you are asleep or midnight or more and set it to last only 15 or 30 minutes, or something short where the overlap is unlikely (and when will probably not all appointments) and set a reminder for when you're awake If you want to receive a reminder (otherwise it always will appear like any other appointment, whether or not you use reminders).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

NOTE: This is for calendar Windows Vista you asked (and I confirmed it on my Vista Business SP2 32-bit system).  Windows Live Calendar can work slightly different - so if you want to know that, create a new thread and ask this question and someone will respond with the procedure or a reference.

Can I get the Windows calendar to run constantly to remind me of things?

"To make the recurring appointment, in the redial list, click the type of desired frequency."

Take a look at this help and support article "Customize Windows Calendar", launch Help and Support via the Start Menu and type the text in Help and search box holders.  In the article click the paragraph as "to create an appointment" and then you will see the instructions on the periodic reminders.

  • Windows calendar - reminder on the date of

I have a monthly appointment that I put in place on the calendar for the first of each month. It was easy to make the recurring appointment. However, I want that it reminds me of the appointment to the date of the appointment, not x number of minutes. If I choose "to date" reminder, but it sets the date of the first occurrence of all occurrences. For example, the callback for 1 August is on August 1. However, the reminder for September 1 is set for August 1! The same is true for any other months that follow. Someone knows how to fix this?

There is no option to fix this (I also).  I find it interesting that the default options for reminders do not include the date - maybe that has something to do with the problem.  I can't find any mention of this problem or proposed fixes (Microsoft or by carefully searching the Bing and Google).  I can even find another thread in another forum that addresses this problem.  Although there may be a registry fix for this problem, it does not appear in the registry and I could still find no reference to one.  I'm afraid, it is a bug in the program that we have to live with. I want to emphasize that I found MANY programs of reminder for Vista (some freeware) that should do it properly - but I could find none that directly linked in the Windows Calendar (and besides, reminder dates in Windows Calendar are wrong so the other program would probably use those incorrect dates as well).

In the State, the only solution I can suggest is download a 3rd party program calendar to replace Windows Calendar and I hope it works correctly - or set the reminder of a day in advance and just leave it so that it shows two days of reminders (assuming that the those old remove automatically the day of the appointment, since they have been set for one day in advance).  Not really practical and not a very good workaround solution, but the only thing I can think of.

Sorry, but I don't think there is a solution to this problem in Vista or Windows Calendar.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Calendar sync blackBerry Smartphones Troulble after update 9650 6.0 Bundle Verizon 3084

Hello. I sought a solution on the forums without success. This problem is in progress for about a month... I tried many things (specify below) and I'm back to the original problem. I'm not particularly talented computer, just an educated consumer.

About a month ago, I was invited to upgrade the software and I said yes. I backup and synchronize at least once a week. When I tried to sync after the upgrade (I do the calendar entries on my BB and the laptop), there was this an appointment, which previously had been an element of a recurring appointment and this occurrence (5/22) has been removed from the BB and laptop. Initializes the synchronization, goes through the process, and then it stops and says that there is a conflict with this nomination (5/22) and it should be deleted, and then Resync. The appointment went from two devices. I even deleted the series the same theing arrives, and this prevents the synchronization.

After this first happened, I got the forums looking for a solution. I spent almost a whole weekend in doing so. I found myself almost my entire calendar of wiping. These are the things I've done: print the last 2 years on paper, battery pull, uninstall and reinstall the desktop software, cleaning restart (IE clean the phone), upgrade to the previous version of the software (after that you can't do anything, so I had to update again), deleted the CICAL service book.

Along the process, that appeared a new calendar, one I call the Green calendar (the default is blue). Green was the name of my yahoo email address, although I've never used the calendar yahoo.com and none of my entries appear. So, I had a calendar of green and blue. With my old BB it happened once and I went to the Verizon store and the guy has just selected the calendar and deleted. This time I tried and it was not an option. I went to the Verizon store and they tried, too and says that with the new upgrade, it is impossible to separate the Green calendar.

Then, I deleted for the Green calendar CICAL service book. When I tried to synchronize this appointment ghost today (5/22) is back and preventing me from synchronization.

I have the impression that the new update is the problem. I'm stuck and paranoid about missing appointments due to the problem of synchronization. I am a surgeon and work in different practices in different days, and I hate having to keep the call ("' it's Mr. Smith, my Blackberry is messed up again... could you please tell me what time I start tomorrow? '"). In addition, I rely on my calendar to follow where I work for purposes of tax/mileage. In addition, almost all before 2010 was erased. I'm not too worried about that now because I think I can recover an older backup and then synchronize when I can sync again.

Help, please. It is very difficult to be faithful to the RIM when they are so frickin stupid. This question has plagued my whole summer. Thanks in advance for your help.

My guess is that there is a corruption of the data on the BlackBerry, I hope that in this instance.

What you will synchronize with Outlook? If so, I copy the PST file to another folder for backup before troubleshooting. But whatever you do, save the calendar if you can.

    Also back up the BlackBerry.

Now, to solve the problems. I would like to use the Desktop Manager to remove the database calendar on the BlackBerry and then re-sync Outlook (or other) for the BlackBerry. See if it works.

Also, FYI, you will have a calendar on the BlackBerry for email address. The default value is determined by the default services settings in the device options.

    sHello,

Yes, it's easy. Just disable the lock on the Holster.

When your blackberry is holstered, there is a small magnet that said 'you're inside me' for screen and blackberry keyboard do not work as long as the blackberry is in the Holster. As son as you come out of the Holster, the screen and the keyboard are available for type.

It works for the Blackberry case, as well as for some other pouches/holsters from other companies, provided that they have the magnet

  • BlackBerry Smartphones boring anniversary events shown on the home screen

    Hallo,

    I'm using BB Bold 9700, 6.0.

Whenever I come home anniversary in some of my contacts it adds to the calendar (so she can remind me about it), but my notification screen is full with birthdays up to 3 years in advance and which is so annoying. It would be nice to show me this info as the week before the actual anniversary, not years in advance. I can delete all occurrences of this anniversary and in the contacts there's date of birth, but I guess that my calendar inform me about them. I tried to mark them 'Private' I've read on the crackberry forum, but it does not work. Only thing I've found to work is to make new event hand as task and it won't upset me with notifications, but this isn't a solution, I would have to do this for every single contact. Is it possible to fix this?

If this is your only calendar entry, that's why you see 3 occurrences of it that by design, the calendar will show you the next 3 appointments. Since it is a recurring appointment, it will show for the next 3 years,

It is not editable because this is the way in which the software was designed.

    Hope this helps to clarify.

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not sync my calendar with MS Outlook

I have a BlackBerry 8830 and am using BlackBerry Desktop Manager to synchronize with my laptop. The operating system is Vista Home and I sync with MS Outlook. I was able to sync without problem since getting the phone in the month of April. There are, all of a sudden a few days during synchronization, I get an error message Intellisync error message 'failed to complete request. In chekcing far I determined that everything except the calendar will sync. First of all, I used the original cd to 'fix' the Desktop Manager software. That did not help so I uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Which doesn't work anymore. Read the suggestions on this website I'm stuck when it comes to what to do next.  When I "view log" on the 'configuration' tab, the last two lines are:

    #-734 internal error.

    Cancelled translation.

I came empty when I typed the internal error number in the search engine.

I think it has something to do with a recurring appointment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would like to try to delete the intellisync folder and then try to synchronize again. This may or may not help. Here are the instructions:

    1. Close the BlackBerry Desktop Manager application.
    2. Disconnect the BlackBerry to the computer device.
    3. Double click on my computer > Local drive (C drive > Documents and Settings > (username) > Application Data > Research In Motion > Blackberry > Intellisync)
      • Note: If the Application Data folder is not present, click Tools > Folder Options in the upper part of the screen.
      • Click the view tab, and then click Show hidden files and folders.
      • Click apply > Ok and continue with the remaining steps.
    4. All remove in the Intellisync folder.
    5. Start synchronization BlackBerry Desktop Manager and the attempt of the device with the computer.
  • 'Ended unexpectedly Operation' blackBerry smartphones synchronization when BB with the Outlook calendar

Thanks, I appreciate your comments.  I have not entered almost as much to sync, and yet he wasn't yet.  Ultimately I had to think to a workaround.

Because it was clear that the 'bad' entry was somewhere in my Outlook calendar (and I couldn't find it, regardless of the number of records that I deleted), I decided to sacrifice my 'bad' Outlook calendar and fills again with my 'good' BB calendar...

-export the following folders to separate CSV files (sent, Contacts, Inbox, etc.)

    -close Outlook

-Move the outlook.pst file starting from C:\Documents and Settings\Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

-Re-open Outlook, forcing them to create new pst file

-Configure BB sync to synchronize a way, equipment and Outlook

-sync, which fills again and then Outlook calendar

-import my other files from CSV files created previously

-reconfigure BB sync to synchronize two ways

I guess I had a few recurring appointment in Outlook who disliked the synchronization operation.  So, I'll be more careful in the future and create shorter relapses and make fewer changes for individual instances of the recurring appointments.

It's a pain in the butt, but it worked for me, and I have all the data I need.

    Thank you.

  • BlackBerry smartphones duplicate appointments and calendar synchronization problems

I use Outlook 2003 and the Blackberry Curve with v4.2.2.180 software.  I don't use Enterprise Server.

When I sync my BB with Outlook, he began to do some weird things.  First of all, he wants to delete my Outlook items.  Second, he changed the title of a recurring appointment for no apparent reason.  I have to fix things, tried to set the configuration so it records only deletes or moves on the BB and set the configuration in advance so that conflicts are always resolved in favor of Outlook, but when I synch, he wants to still remove 22 items in my Outlook calendar and add one bunch of others.

How can I get to sync properly?

Do I have to clear the calendar on the BB and then start Outlook?  How do I do that?

    Thank you

    > Do I have to clear the calendar on the BB and then start Outlook?  How do I do that?

TODO, you want to use the Desktop Manager

    Backup/restore

    Advanced

    Click on calendar on ERS.

Under the screen of the RHS, click clear.

Now, do a synchronization, and you will receive the calendar on the BB Outlook.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones appointment recurring sync problem with Outlook

Outlook 2003 SP3 has been synchronized with my curve perfectly until a few weeks ago.  Suddenly the clock wants to remove all my recurring appointments in my calendar in Outlook - hundreds of them.  I opted for no synchronization.  After reviewing the forums, I found a recommendation to delete all files from my Intellisync folder and try again.  So I did, and then resync the value upward my Desktop Manager and started around.  Amen - he wanted to remove all my recurring appointments, so I advanced and accepted the additions to my Outlook.  Now I have duplicates of all appointments on my BB!  My vision is OK, but it did not get my BB calendar additions.  Sheesh!

Want to a * beep * (who really does not go through and remove all duplicates!), I would of course like to some lawyers!  Thank you in advance.

hook up desktop manager backup and restore-advanced-find calendar on the right side and click on the clear button (make sure that the device is plugged)

  • Recurring appointments of blackBerry Smartphones

So here's the problem: I'm currently Blackberry desktop manager 4.5 installed and tried also with 4.6, same problem. I have the 8330 and Sprint v4.3.0.127. I just got it two days ago. I have Outlook 2007 and I try to sync my appointments. My contacts synchronize perfectly well, but the problem is with the appointments. Here is the problem :--> all my recuring meetings that have been setup to someone else, that I agreed to see the place 4 hours less on my blackberry. So if the appointment made at 07:00, it will appear as 03:00. --> All recuring meetings I have install, show perfectly well high. All non-recurring meetings show as well. What could be the problem here, this problem occurs with 4.5 and 4.6. In addition, I don't work with a BES I have BIS. I need to fix this problem.

I eventually found the problem, looked at one of the sites of Smartphone.  A treo user was having a similar problem with Outlook 2007 and I tried what he did and it worked.

Here is the explanation I also posted on the Blackberry Forums:

Pretty much what you need to is, for all of the recurring appointments in Outlook 2007, open them and edit them.

    Here are the steps:

    1. double click on the recurring meeting.

    2. choose "open the series.

    3. then next to "Back" you will see "Time zone", click it.

    4. after clicking on 'Time zone', double click on frequency and you will see your time zone here.

    5. after that click on 'Ok', and then click Save & Close.

After you do this for all of your recurring appointments, try again, syncing with your blackberry and it will update with the correct time.

I have literally spent 5 hours trying to figure out this problem and reading several forums, even Smartphone forums and someone was having this same problem.  That's what they did, and I decided to try it and it worked!

So I guess the problem is with Outlook 2007 and not Blackberry.  This problem only happen for the periodic meetings that someone sent me, the periodic meetings that I had Setup, has worked well for me.  I guess something to do with Outlook does not store the time zone?  Not sure?

Let me know if you're still having problems.
