(Redirected) Recommendation of an Alienware computer

I'm wanting to go with a 13, but could really go with anything. the 13 wanted to wear to school, but my only stipulation is that its performance is excellent and will run games like World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls Online and Skyrim smoothly with settings ultra. If possible please recommend something for me. This will be my computer alone for a while and the money isn't really a problem.

Child asked more memory for his computer. I put in the serial number of theNOTE from the ADMIN: maintain the label removed by privacy policy > for memory suggestions and I guess that's old-fashioned and Dell sells more of her. The computer was purchased new January 2012. It has still all the original parts for a anniversary surprise, I want to add memory or get new memory, but I have no idea what kind? Please if you have any suggestions, it would be appreciated if this isn't overpriced. Thank you.

  • (Redirected) Speakers with an Alienware Area 51

I had crazy computer problems lately. A few friends put in place a computer for me and there were a lot of problems that I won't detail here, but it culminated with the motherboard is fried when I plugged in the speakers.  I finally gave up with home-built computer and ordered an Alienware Area 51 with a 1500w power supply. However, I am relics afraid to connect the speakers for fear of frying another card mother, though everyone tells me that what has happened is a stroke of luck and the other motherboard was faulty.  Right now I use a computer + 7 years, I had in the closet and the speakers work fine with it, and they also worked in my old computer, which was also an Alienware. My question is, is it possible that the speakers might be 'too powerful' or 'too high a power' to work on the computer that is on the right track? The speakers say they are 120-240 v, but I don't know how powerful they are. My future computer has a 1500w PSU and two GTX 970 graphics cards, but it seems that there should be a lot of power for speakers. Am I paranoid? Has anyone had the motherboard is fried by plugging in speakers?

  • (Redirected) Question 6 - beep Alienware Aurora R4

    Hello

I used my R4 Aurora for 1 year and a half with no problems and one day the screen closed for 3s, and when the image is returned, Windows show me a problem with the graphics driver. I rebooted the computer and the Aurora was beep 6 Date of 6. After 5 minutes, I was finally able to start and run a full scan of the BIOS but nothing has been revealed. I've just updated the nVidia Driver to be sure, it is not from this and the computor back to work as before.

3 months later (took place last Sunday), the same thing happens again. But this time even after the update of the new last driver, the computer completely froze again after 2 h and again it was beep 6-time but the BIOS scan found nothing. Today, the computer crashes again during my game and rebooting, it freezes on the BIOS screen. After another reboot, it finally starts and I run the Dell diagnostic tool, but nothing was found.

To me, it looks like really is a problem with the RAM, because it seems completely random crashes and I do not believe that the graphics card that could affect the operating system like that. However, I would like your feelings especially on what the beep-6 means during the BIOS load? Is it possible that a problem of RAM can trigger these beeps too even if the graphics card is not at all affected?
    Kind regards

  • (Redirected) Guarantee of order Alienware hard R4

Hello. I bought my R4 alienware in 09/10/2012 and now I have problem with errors in what we call sector of hard disk and said it should be replaced immediately. I was wondering if I still have the warranty on the hard drive or it is expired with guarantee of service about a year ago? I heard people say that it is the 5 year warranty on the hard drive! Can it be good?

    Thanks for your help

    Amiram

The warranty of the hard disk is in the same time period as Dell warranty that is on the computer.

As the Dell warranty on your computer has expired a year ago, the hard drive has either no guarantee.

  • 32-bit vs 64-bit processors, and recommendations for the new computer operating systems

This message can be duplicated... because I posted in laptop - forum.

I'm in the market for a new desktop computer and want to do a lot of video editing (using Roxio and Vegas Movie Studio).  I want to know the specifications to ask.  I need to know if it is better to get a 64-bit operating system processor AND... OR... a 64-bit processor and a 32-bit processor or should I just stick with 32-bit systems?   I'm afraid that my drivers and existing software may not be not compatible with 64-bit processors.  I want a system that will be able to also change the HD videos.

Any help with explanations would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi lcdrdan,

I use a HP Elite d5000t with Vista 64 bit and I have Vegas Studio 9 installed and it works great. The specifications of the box didn't say it works with Vista 64-bit, but it does.

  • Computer laptop Alienware M18 close, a signal sound white screen

I have a problem with my Alienware computer. I was working and suddenly the screen blanked out, but then she came back and a small balloon pops up saying the NVIDIA card crashed, but it was fixed. A few minutes later, he crashed again and turn off the power. When I tried to start the computer, it started to beep. It does beep on beep every three seconds. He continued to beep like that for awhile. I counted 20 beeps before I turned off the computer, unplug it and removed the battery.

I'm kind of desperate. I have a Chromebook for back up but my powerhouse programs are on this computer. Anyone know what the problem is.

    Hi Gigajojo10,

Read this article and try the troubleshooting steps. If the problem persists, and the system is only to have a continuous beep (beeps and beeps once, then pause then yet once), this would indicate a motherboard failure according to the Beep Codes POST NO.

Let me know how it goes!

  • Computer problems AlienWare x 51 ~ monitor the issue and 2000:0142.

Hi, I hope it's in the good post.

I have a few questions about my Alienware computer X 51 does not.

I turned on my computer after completing a tutorial (I know the tutorial) in the tutorial that it asked to change certain settings, which I don't remember, unfortunately.

When I disconnected all the wires and readded them and turned on the computer was not connected with the screen, yes the computer turns on, but the screens are not. I tried 2 computers (Vga and Hdmi), but they have no connection or something like that, the threads are * properly * in and screens are set right, so I think it is the computer itself

They are to solve this problem of monitor anyway?.

Also, I tried to fix the problem (s) on the computer. I did a test (when the screens were working) and it came up saying that I have a 2000:0142 question, any ideas why?

When I start my computer, it starts but a little how freezes on the login screen, I have tried to do this at the start also, however, it came not again.

Any ideas to solve this problem too?

I hope that this is in the right place, and I hope to have some answers...

    Thank you.

  • Upgrade RAM problem new Alienware 15, 4 no beeps no boot.

So, I just bought a new alienware 15 and I've had good compatible ram for an upgrade, according to dell recommended ram for this computer.  He also worked in my previous alienware 14.  I took the stock of ram (2 x 4 GB @1600 mhz) and set (2x8GB @ 1866 mhz) Corsair vengeance and the current bios does not recognize them.  A04 is the newest bios.  Any chance Alienware will come out an upgrade of the bios to accept RAM like this.  the Alienware 14 down them without flaw.  Model number on the upgrade of ram is CMSX16GX3M2A1866C10

    Thanks for any help.
