  Sorting all of the drive is not possible. Perhaps, it can be done by another program I'm not aware of.

  Hi, I read the other posts on this topic, but my problem seems a little different.

  I am running Windows 7 on a Dell desktop computer and I tried to run chkdsk and also the Dell diagnostics that I have some problems hard drive; However, it gets so far and the pc goes into mode 'sleep' causing me even worse problems that chkdsk/diagnoses are halfway through a volume. The pc has done this on and off tension for awhile, but hopefully not when something critical is running, even if it is a nuisance.  I did all the steps recommended here as ensure my Power Options are set, etc., but he always does.

  In addition, when the pc goes to sleep, I can't wake him up by pressing the power button or any key on the keyboard.

  I've been in contact with Dell and they said that it's a software problem.

  Someone can suggest something else I can do (stop) the computer mode 'sleep' and also how to wake him.

  Curious to know if I use here. Last weekend I woke to my PC beep to a black screen. 6 beeps in a row over the post, then nothing. Beep codes indicate a video failure. I remove the Nvidia GTX980 card and replaced by another, I had. PC boots fine and video work. I try reinstalling the Nvidia card in different locations, check the cables and the alignment, still 6 beeps and no video.

  I bought the system in March 2015 and the warranty expired month last on 4/1. Of course :(

  Am I out of luck? It is an expensive problem to have happen after only 1 year.

  As you have no warranty, then you are "out of luck" greetings to Dell providing a free replacement graphics card.

  I bought a brand new Area 51, and it is never lit. I waited 45 waiting for support, through about half an hour of questions that I had already answered and then lost the appeal. Frustrating to say the least. Not what I expect for any expense of $3,500 on a pc that I have built with the best parts for slot about $2 k. I know it's more expensive, but I thought that maybe with all the money made it would lead to customer at least reasonable service.

  I built PC for more than 20 years. It is not the power cord. He is not taking. I guess it's food, but I'm not sure. An led flashes for a second and I get a tick.   I recently bought an Alienware Area 51 r2. Its been works like a charm, until recently. I have about 4 months and recently he shot himself. I push the power button to turn it off, and it turns on.   I use Indeisgn (CC) on Macbook Pro. I worked on files on this computer with the new software Creative cloud for months with no problems. Yesterday, I opened a .ind file to create a new design. But I can't click on it. I checked and it is not locked on the page. I'm able to move using the arrow keys, but it is very inefficient. I tried to quit smoking and uninstalling and redownloading the Indesign software and it did not fix the problem.
