  I think I have posted this request for assistance in another forum. However, I have a desktop computer 3646 using Windows 8.1 and usb connected on it in my printer 305 w. However, the Dell Imaging Toolbox was not the installer at this time and I had to use the CD/DVD provided with the printer that gave either XP or Vista as the OS, but not 8.1. I made the "assumption" that the 3646 would seek an upgrade to allow the Toolbox to use with 8.1 as I do a lot of scanning to. He did come back and ask a Microsoft Net framework (there is a display on the screen requesting a download, whenever I click on the shortcut icon to the Toolbox screen) download which I've done. What can I do to get the 305 w Imaging Toolbox to perform using 8.1? Also, I can use the 305 w print with both my 3646 and my laptop on which I can use the Toolbox that he uses the Vista operating system.

  I'm trying to scan a document with a 305 V dell all in one printer, but it records in a file photo/jpg.  I'm trying to convert the document to PDF.  The imaging Toolbox doesn't let me check box to place the Toolbox on the office.  I tried uninstalling the printer and then reinstalling and I can't tick the box that says place of imagery of box to tools on the desktop.  I look at all the files and I can't find a box to imaging tools.  I wonder if this printer is compatible with Windows 7.  Does anyone else have this problem?

  Windows does not contain PDF features or tools, so the problem must be in the printer drivers and/or software supplied with the printer.  You need to contact Dell to see if the printer can do what you want to do it or not.

• Reference Dell v305 won't print pdf files

  Hello, I have a dell v305 printer was used since 2007. yesterday was cleaning and spare accidentally plug back power supply. I didn't know until I plugged the printer use. SO I pushed him in the back while that plugged into the wall. After that I was able to print word documents, but when I try to print a pdf file I get an error message "The DOCUMENT COULD NOT BE PRINTED" I click ok and another error "THERE WERE No. PAGES SELECTED to PRINT.

  Also, I could not Dell Imaging Tool Box to open. So I uninstalled the printer that it reinstalled from the disk provided with the printer. I can open the box to imaging tools and can print word documents but get the same error messages when I try to print a pdf file.

  Please don't tell me I need a new printer, lol.

  Internet Explorer 11, is usually on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 have problems with Dell of the V-series printers, but you do not have the operating systems mentioned above.

  This problem can occur because of a corruption in the installation of .NET Framework.

  You can follow the steps to repair the installation of .net framework.

  a. Click Start, and click Control Panel.

  b. navigate to the program and features.

  c. scroll down for Microsoft.Net Framework 4 Client Profile, do a right click.

  d. it will give you a choice of uninstall/change, click it.

  e. you will get an option to repair, select Repair.

  f. restart the computer and check.

  I have SCCM SP1 R2 and the Dell customer integration Pack 3.1 2012.  When I try to import the ACR 5 of WinPE from the SCCM console, it fails with 'the selected driver package is incompatible.

  Does anyone else have this problem?  My understanding is that SCCM R2 supports Win 8.1, which is what Win PE5 comes.

  Reference Dell Customer Integration Pack 3.1 is not support SCCM SP1 R2 2012. CAB WinPE cannot be imported via CPID 3.1 and it has to be injected for the boot image. Also try the last 5.0 WinPE that is available in the link below

  Reinstall all your programs from the original media or downloaded files you have saved on an external drive.

  Reinstall all your data from the backups that you made on an external drive.

  If you have not, you're out of luck.
