Removal of the PC on the network window

Well I was looking through my network connections and noticed that my friends (enter name here) - PC had been added to my shairing network window and I tried many things and unfortunately there isn't a delete option. How can I go to take the PC out of my connections to the network?

Try this:

Go to control panel > Classic view > Network and Sharing Center > customize > merge or delete network location > highlight the network, and then click on remove.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

  • Windows 2K 3 is removed from the network, every hour, sixth of its previous disconnection

    Hi all

I have a problem here in a production environment. We use the combination W2K3 SP2 and SQL 2008. It is the server gets disconnected from the network, every hour, sixth of its previous logout. SQL resources are working well, but the server itself becomes not accessible. When I mean the server by its IP address or name DNS etc.

While closely watching the issue, we found that even the RDP connection to it expires exactly at the same time. It's just an interruption of 10-30 seconds, and after him, everything is normal. Only clue is, it happens exactly every sixth hour. We also found his happens for all servers in the VIRTUAL local area network at the same time.

Sixth hour that I mean, is the model... for example it happes to 09:15 then it will happen about 15:16 and then 21:17, then new tomorrow 03:18, 09:19, 15:20, 21:21 etc. If this isn't exactly every six hours, it every hour, sixth of its previous logout. The calendar is always in motion.

    Note:

DHCP is not enabled on the server. Its configured to use a static ip address. The server is based. No DHCP server in the environment.
Client DHCP is running on the machine to register DNS for the DNS server. No windows firewall is turned on.

So its more like a configuration problem which is something set up to do something every time sixth from his previous instance.

Please let me know if you think anything.

  • How to set the password to protect the network, Windows XP Home Edition

Another PC can directly access my computer on the Windows network, so I want to set a password to protect my computer.

There are two basic methods to connect to a computer through a network.

The first is through Remote Desktop connection.  This method requires that a user connect as if they were sitting in front of the computer.  So simply assign a password for each user in the user Panel must control this access road.  If I remember correctly, Remote Desktop connections cannot do XP Home computers, so this may not apply to you.

The second is through the sharing of files on the network.  With XP Home (forced Simple File Sharing), each connection sharing file valid as long as the user "guest".  So to control this access, you must assign a password for the Guest user.

    Hello

You do not remove the "old" Windows updates.

If you do, you lose the performance and the improvements in security that they give and you put your computer at risk of breaking or be infected by malware...

  • Cannot log on to a computer in the domain when it is removed from the domain - Windows 7 Pro, just stopped working

We have a Dell laptop with the encryption used by the principal of our school at work and at home. At the office, it connects to the network via Ethernet. Yesterday, when he returned home, he received a message that it could not connect to a server approved.  His credentials have been cached in the past and still allowed him to open a session with the same user name and password.

Now, when the laptop is not connected to the network, I can't log on to the laptop computer as a domain administrator, it cannot open a session with his account and the local administrator account cannot log on (localadmin\laptopname).  When I tried to add a new local user by using user accounts in Control Panel, I get a message that the domain is not available.  This field is the name of the computer.  Manage user--> Add--> domain accounts--> go--> locations<-- the="" only="" option="" is="" entire="" directory="" (my="" domain). ="" actually,="" this="" is="" all="" i="" see="" on="" my="" work="" computer="" too. ="" when="" did="" this="" change? ="" i've="" added="" local="" users="" in="" the="">

The rest of Windows seems to work.

Biometrics does not for one of our accounts, but they have in the past.

I might add a local account for him to use only with the following command. At least this allows him to use the laptop at home, but it creates a new profile for him so he will not have access to the files saved under its domain account profile.

    net user USERNAME PASSWORD /add
    net localgroup administrators USERNAME /add

AFAIK what has changed is that he was just updates installation before returned home and when he arrived home, things no longer work.

Is it possible to get around this problem?

Given that this is possible through the vSphere Client he gave me the chance to try Onyx. Here is the result of the Onyx:

    $spec = New-Object VMware.Vim.VirtualMachineConfigSpec
    $spec.changeVersion = "2013-08-14T07:04:15.86208Z"
    $spec.deviceChange = New-Object VMware.Vim.VirtualDeviceConfigSpec[] (1)

    $_this = Get-View -Id 'VirtualMachine-vm-646'
    $_this.ReconfigVM_Task($spec)

After the stripping it down a bit I ended up with:

    $spec = New-Object VMware.Vim.VirtualMachineConfigSpec
    $spec.deviceChange = New-Object VMware.Vim.VirtualDeviceConfigSpec[] (1)
    $spec.deviceChange[0] = New-Object VMware.Vim.VirtualDeviceConfigSpec
    $spec.deviceChange[0].operation = "remove"
    $spec.deviceChange[0].device = New-Object VMware.Vim.VirtualVmxnet3
    $spec.deviceChange[0].device.key = 4000
    $spec.deviceChange[0].device.deviceInfo = New-Object VMware.Vim.Description
    $spec.deviceChange[0].device.deviceInfo.label = "Network adapter 1"
    $spec.deviceChange[0].device.deviceInfo.summary = "dummy"

    $_this = Get-View -Id 'VirtualMachine-vm-646'
    $_this.ReconfigVM_Task($spec)

Run this doesn't give any errors, but are still all NICs.

Is there a way to easy or better for this script?

You must create an entry in the DeviceChange property by the device you wish to reconfigure.

    Try something like this

    $VMs = Get-VM test*

    $NICs = 1..6 | %{"Network Adapter $_"}$i = 0

    foreach($VM in $VMs){  $spec = New-Object VMware.Vim.VirtualMachineConfigSpec  $Adapters = Get-NetworkAdapter -VM $VM|?{$_.NetworkName -like "dummy"}  foreach($Adapter in $Adapters){    if($NICs -contains $Adapter){      $devSpec = New-Object VMware.Vim.VirtualDeviceConfigSpec      $devSpec.operation = "remove"      $devSpec.device += $Adapter.ExtensionData      $spec.deviceChange += $devSpec    }  }  $VM.ExtensionData.ReconfigVM_Task($spec)}

I am able to the internet via one router to another wireless. The I've seen is that I can't have the XP to see or join my local network. The win2000 see the XP but cannot go further than the display of files. the XP is set to shared the whole c drive.

    Hello

It would be a good idea to run the System File Checker tool to see if you have corrupted files

"How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the files on system missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7"

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Use the (SFC.exe) System File Checker tool to determine which file is causing the problem and then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER:
      sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

    ___________________________________________________

    And Malware scan:

Search for malware, if necessary using the safe mode with networking.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/how-to-start-Windows-in-safe-mode/#Vista

    Windows Vista

    Using the F8 method:

    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with the Boot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode with networking with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
    6. Do whatever tasks you need and when you are done, reboot to return to normal mode.

What I saw, is that except if a clip is in some layer (which is highlighted), it is not lift or extract.

In this case it is layer 4.

Based on how I read this feature is supposed to work, I would image it would be extracted from any clip in the area of the elevator/check out.

However, unless the clip is in layer 4 (in this) he do work. Move a clip to layer 4, he does.

Should I put some strange preference?

The screenshot below shows the only layer that gets extracted. You can see the area highlighted in blue in the picture below.
