I have no other problems with the PC. Once again, driving the nail: this WORKED BEFORE, last month on the exact same hardware and the software/OS (Juillet2011), then why this option appears GRAYED out now?  This question has been asked before and 'experts' simply stressed totally USELESS MS pages showing how to select either under control or direct - I DO NOT NEED THIS HELP as I ALREADY KNOW HOW TO SELECT either option and what each is for. Also the other 'fixed' DOES NOT APPLY to this situation.   The page you are showing has noting to do with the installation of an ISO Image, it takes to with the virtual hard disk.  The ISO Image is assigned to the CD/DVD in the settings of the Virtual Machine if you don't select it in the wizard at the beginning.

  1 Select file > new.

  2 the new Virtual Machine Assistant starts.

  3 click on continue without disc to go to the installation media Panel.

  4 in the installation media Panel, click on the image or use operating system installation disc.

  5. use the drop-down menu to locate the file .iso for the operating system.

  6 click Open to identify the file and click on continue to go to control panel of the operating system.

  No, the soft part of the operating system, so it would mean reload the iOS together. Have you tried a forced reboot yet?

  Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) errors are usually associated with the hard disk errors.  The best first approach to solve this problem is to do a complete check of the disk.  The short version of the procedure to follow is:
  Under "My Computer", right click on the C drive :-> properties-> tools (tab)-> 'Check now'
  Check out the options and 'Start '.  He will complain that it cannot do it now and tell you that it will do so at the next startup.  Accept the warning.
  Restart your computer and let it complete the disk check.
