repeated for 2862330 update

my computer Windows XP seems to be stuck in a loop of update.

Download the 2862330 update, it installs, asks for a restart - and now the update is ready to be downloaded again.
I stupidly downloaded it several times until I realized there was something wrong.
All I have to do now is to find out what.
Someone at - it a solution?
Thank you
David E.

First, determine which version of Windows XP you have. (Common XP 32-bit SP3, but should not be).

In my case and after spending too much time fix a computer, to find that the problem occurred on several computers, I decided to ignore the USB on MS13-081 driver updates.

http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/security/bulletin/MS13-081

There are several related updates for each version of Windows XP.

There is I don't know how many reports of serious problems with USB devices and sound cards of people who manage to install these updates. There are some computers that are totally unaffected.

1) go to Microsoft Updates and change 'auto' to 'download '. Check for updates and hide USB fixes listed on MS13-081.

(2) from Add/Remove programs remove KB2862330 and each related interlocked KB (carefully check that they came MS13-081).

(3) from Microsoft Update, updates and hide updates to MS13-081.

My plan is to wait for Microsoft to complete the repair of these updates, and then display the or deploy the patches corrected.

The next month, I'll leave it a few days before research on problems of updating. Then decide whether to install them.

  • Historic Windows Update displays do not correctly after installing problem updates 7.6.7600.256 for Windows Update Agent?

Had the problem on the 25/06 reboot after the installation of update 7.6.7600.256 for Windows Update Agent (required system restore).

This (with duplicates) and subsequent updates are shown as successful in the history of the update, but shows always date of "updates have been installed" on the home window Windows Update like 13/06/2012 (previous updates) and updates later only the fix (KB981889) shows as available in the Uninstall list.

How will I know if the Windows Agent Update and other subsequent updates installed correctly?

If the Update Agent update has not been installed correctly, is there a solution for this?

  • Error code 80072EE2: Windows could not search for new updates.

I am unable to get the Windows updates.  I repeatedly receive 80072EE2 error code: Windows could not search for new updates.  The help of instructions indicate I would add three updated addresses my firewall.  I am running McAfee Total Protection with a firewall, but I don't see an option to add addresses.  Do you have suggestions about this problem?

    Hello

Did you face this problem after installation of McAfee?

    Follow these steps:

Method 1: There is no option to add the URL of Web site in McAfee firewall.  However, you can add the URL in the filtered McAfee Web site. Click Parental control, clicking n config on the right panel, by clicking the forward button, and then click filtered Web sites on the left had Panel Add URL.

Method 3: If this does not help, you can temporarily disable the antivirus and check if that helps.
    Disable the antivirus software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

  • Why I repeatedly to identical updates to download?

Whenever I receive a notice of updates I find the same identical important updates that I've already installed? I check the updates installed to see if they have been installed successfully to find all indicate Yes. Rather than having to memorize all of the updates I have and to block those I know I already installed, is there a reason why the same identical updates and #s keep appearing in the important area of updates? How can I prevent this happens because I can't put the automatic update? I use Vista and Internet Explorer 8.

My subscription Creative Cloud amounts and the teacher would not be repeated even after update to payment information. I tried many times in the past two months, updating credit card information and I was never renewed. Subscription keeps saying expired beyond the 24 hour mark it says it will take. I have double and triple checked the information of credit card and have recorded several times. I also never get an e-mail confirmation or an e-mail saying that he had a problem. I have a MBP of 2009 end. I updated the material to 8 GB of ram with an SSD of 240gig. I want to run the new OSX, but is not on the list approved for the update. Anyone know why?

It is a decision that was made by Apple.  El Capitan is the newest OSX that will support a 2009 MBP.

This is not uncommon.  My 2006 MBP came with Tiger, but is limited to OSX Snow Leopard.

Old hardware ends up by becoming obsolete with newer technology.

    Ciao.

  • I can't get rid of thanks for the update of firefox or modules at startup

Whenever I run Firefox, in addition to my home page, I get "Thanks for the update" pages of Mozilla, colorful tabs, No Script and Undo Closed Tabs Button. I tried all the usual methods to get rid of them (reset the home page, and al.) and nothing does not remove the Add-ons (and it does not work for the Mozilla page!). It is not only annoying, but it significantly slows down Firefox the.

I like Firefox and use since it began and I don't want to stop now, but this inability to control it is frustrating and, frankly, disappointing. I hope that the tendency to become more like other browsers does not speed; for many users, the fact that Firefox was not like the others is what has him us in the first place.

I'd appreciate any help to solve my dilemma.

Hello, this can happen when firefox is not able to correctly save preferences in the profile folder. Please try this: click on the menu button, then click on Help (?) > troubleshooting information > profile folder - 'show the file'. then a new window will open. in this search on a file named user.js window (it can be used to overwrite your custom settings). where it is present, delete or rename this file and then restart firefox.

For more information and other steps, please also see: How to fix preferences that will not save

For the last week or three Firefox updates two or three times for each update. Sometimes it refreshes without obvious reason. For example, I'll be in the middle of typing in the message forum block & it refreshes. Or by filling out an online form. Or simply viewing a page.

You can check for problems caused by an extension that is not working properly.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
