Replace ram on HP 4520 s could result in the warranty cancellation?
I need to upgrade the ram and hard drive to a HP Probook 4520 s, and I don't want to void the warranty.
Knowing that I'll have to remove the switchcover, the keyboard and palmrest.
Would it be possible to take assistance material hp to do the upgrade for me, or if that is not supported under warranty?
What are my options?
Hello:
According to the manual, I don't see where you need to remove the palmrest.
You remove the battery, switchcover and drag the keyboard to the screen, carefully flip over and you should see the memory modules under there. I don't think that you need to disconnect the keyboard. Just let enclosed and modify memory. See note, DO NOT remove the tape, unless you replace the keyboard, what you're not.
Do not void the warranty, unless physically damaged you coins that you have deleted, or physically damaged locations of memory. HP will not pay if you break the switch cover in half, for example.
HP can do for you, but you pay a good sum of money for the service. Upgrades are not part of the warranty coverage.

How to replace RAM on Tecra M9?
Hello
Anyone can help explain how to replace RAM on my Tecra M9L - 12K. Returning more I can see the most obvious place where the RAM would be installed but there is only 1 slot SODIMM here. The other is where and how can I access this? Sorry if this is a thread answered elsewhere, but I can't find the answer - maybe you could move me if this is the case?
Help gratefully received
Please download the user manuals of the Toshiba support page under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support and downloads and see page 59. You will find detailed how explanations do.

Hello
I bought my NB200 Aug 2009, it works fine for me until about 2 weeks ago.
One day, I turned it normally, second day morning, I tried to trun, I see that power light, plugin light, light to the top of the battery, the drive HARD light flashed once for maybe 2-3 seconds, then fade. And the screan remains off all the way.
I tried to remove the battery, unplug, wait up to 3 hours, put it all back, still does not start.
I also tried with different RAM, but the result remains the same.And the situation get worse and worse. About 2 weeks ago, when he started, after about 10 tries, I could get it early. This morning, I had to try more than one hour and finally got lucky once.
So, is anyone having the same problem? Any suggestions?
Please help me!
Hello
Akuma is right, you should contact the service center to fix it. It was purchased in August 2009 and he is still guaranteed, they will repair it for free.
Welcome them

Hello Derek,.
Please keep us updated on the status of the issue.
I'm sorry for the late reply.
The IFE can be used to show what part of the system should provide the largest increase in performance when it is upgraded. For example, a computer with the lower under-score in his memory, would benefit more than an upgrade of RAM to add a faster hard drive (or any other component).

Hi guys
I upgraded from 5.3.0.40.9 to 5.5.0.46 using the upgraded application that has especially good except that CLI SSH access to the ACS does not work now. It allows me to connect, however immediately throws an error:
% Error: could not launch the ADE-OS shell. The disk is full.
I get the same error with a separate administrator account, but one of my colleagues IS able to connect without any problems.
Any ideas? Thank you.
Rama
We were see this question quite frequently in cases where client upgrade from previous versions to ACS 5.5 because in an upgrade process, it also moves the database view and fills the / opt. In your case, it seems to be 100%.
If this is the case you need to install patch of the roots and then erase the old newspapers. To do this, you must contact TAC.
Latest version of ACS 5 we have a simple 'cleandb replace acsview' command that actually do the same thing but we don't have an option to connect via SSH.

[CS5.5] [JS] delete the character before the result of the search
Hello
I have a small question.
I would like to remove all spaces before any text containing the tag with a specific character style.
Example: "call: [SPACE] [BEGIN TANK STYLE FRUIT] 5 parts [END TANK STYLE FRUIT]".
I would like to remove the space...
A piece of my code:
app.findTextPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
app.findTextPreferences.appliedCharacterStyle = "FRUIT".
myResultsList = app.activeDocument.findText ();
for (var k = myResultsList.length - 1; k >-1; k = k - 1) {}
How can I remove the space before the result?
}
Aynone have an idea?
Thank you
John
Hi J & J,
I have a little problem with the two scripts here.
Jarek is obviously going to be very fast, but it assumes there is no local formatting on the words of style FRUIT, i.e. No bold / italic / color / highlight replacements applied to these texts. If this is the case then his script (perhaps with a more original original combination) them IS way to go. If it's not!
John, I don't understand how the script you found could possibly work.
There are 2 major bugs with it.
var myCharacters = myResultsList [k] .parentTextFrames [0] .characters;
myCharacters.itemByRange(myLocation-1,1).remove ();
should be replaced by
var myCharacters is myResultsList [k].parentStory.characters;.
myCharacters.itemByRange (myLocation-1, myLocation) .remove ();
To the help of parentTextFrames is not a good idea because it will fail on threaded textframe, give it index the character of possiosion since the beginning of the story and not the beginning of the textframe.
having itemByRange(myLocation-1,1).remove () will withdraw find it until the second character in the story. I understand that you just want to remove the space before the style!
This brings to a 3rd problem in your script that removes the (fixed once upwards) any character preceding the style regardless of whether or not it is a space.
In any case my way would be with one of these 2 functions according to the conditions weather there is always a space before the style of fruits or not.
It will only remove spaces (no returns or other characters) that precede the style.
The first function 'removeCharacterBeforeStyle' is the equivalent of your corrected script but better (at least in my humble opinion)
// http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1213463?tstart=0word. // Removes letter / spaces before a character style app.doScript("removeAllSpacesBeforeStyle()", ScriptLanguage.javascript, undefined, UndoModes.ENTIRE_SCRIPT); //app.doScript("removeCharacterBeforeStyle()", ScriptLanguage.javascript, undefined, UndoModes.ENTIRE_SCRIPT); function removeCharacterBeforeStyle() { // to delete ANY character that precedes the FRUIT style. short and sweet :-) app.findTextPreferences = null; app.findTextPreferences.appliedCharacterStyle = "FRUIT"; var myFinds = app.documents[0].findText(), l = myFinds.length, pos; while (l--) myFinds[l].parentStory.characters.itemByRange (pos = myFinds[l].insertionPoints[0].index-1, pos++).remove(); }; function removeAllSpacesBeforeStyle() { // This will delete spaces (including hairspaces), tabs etc. but not returns that precedes the FRUIT style // see http://www.indiscripts.com/post/2011/09/what-exactly-is-a-word for hairspace and other potential issues // not so short and not so sweet :-( // but does the job without messing up most of the local overrides of the character style |:-) var doc = app.documents[0]; app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = null; app.findTextPreferences.findWhat = "^|"; // this is one way of dealing with hairline spaces (warning their format will get messed up) app.changeTextPreferences.changeTo = "^4^4^4^4^3"; doc.changeText(); app.findTextPreferences = null; app.findTextPreferences.appliedCharacterStyle = "FRUIT"; var myFinds = doc.findText(), l = myFinds.length, ps, find_CharacterInStoryIndex, find_WordInStoryIndex, StartOfGap, EndOfGap; app.findTextPreferences = app.findGrepPreferences = app.changeGrepPreferences = null; app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = "((?![\\r\\n])\\s)+"; // find spaces that are not returns about the same as "[~m~>~f~S~s~<~/~.~3~4~%\\x{20}~|\\t]+" I have not compaired the speeds while (l--) { ps = myFinds[l].parentStory; find_CharacterInStoryIndex = myFinds[l].insertionPoints[0].index-1; if ((find_WordInStoryIndex = ps.words.itemByRange(ps.words[0], myFinds[l].words[0]).words.length-2) <0) continue; // the 'if' checks that the find is not the first word in the story if it was the ALL the spaces in the whole story would be removed StartOfGap = ps.words[find_WordInStoryIndex].insertionPoints[-1].index; EndOfGap = ps.words[find_WordInStoryIndex+1].index-1; // if the FRUIT style starts at the beginning of a word remove spaces before that word if (find_CharacterInStoryIndex == EndOfGap) ps.characters.itemByRange(StartOfGap,EndOfGap).changeGrep(); } app.findTextPreferences.findWhat = "^4^4^4^4^3"; // put the hairspaces back app.changeTextPreferences.changeTo = "^|"; doc.changeText(); app.findTextPreferences = app.changeTextPreferences = app.findGrepPreferences = null; }
Concerning
Trevor
P.s. If you do not have hairspaces (and you probably haven't) her you could for aesthetic reasons to remove at least 6 lines of code.

Envy 15 K2T37AV: Replace digitizer for Envy 15-Instructions and void the warranty?
I dropped my computer a few days ago from cracking of the digitizer, but not the LCD screen. The display still works, and I'm debating whether to pay to fix it or just do it myself or ask at a local store to do. My questions are:
(1) do I have to dissect your laptop to replace the digitizer, or y at - it a simple way to just pull the digitizer off the LCD display and replace it?
(2) in doing so void my warranty? Especially if I don't really have to unscrew anything, and given that the display is not covered by the warranty anyway, if it voids the warranty on everything else?
(3) if I go with it, what is the model number of the digitizer and are there instructions I could follow?

It happened once that shortly after Firefox the default browser and I could not have restored functional, even after disabling restore on all drives, restarting and creating a manual restore point. I then did a clean install of Windows XP and found a functional restoration. On several occasions after reloading I tested all restoration programs and it worked normally. Now, two weeks later he did it again. I wonder if it might be Firefox or Norton.
Yes, it's a known conflict of Norton.
1. "Norton 2006 and later products have a safety feature that prevents outside programs from making changes to the Norton product.» This security feature can prevent the Windows system restore from changing Norton files, resulting in the "Restoration incomplete" message
Temporarily disable the Norton product protection before running the Windows system restore. »

Time Machine could not complete the backup-backup drive is not found

I have not had this problem before, it's all connected...
If you have not already made a comprehensive network feeding cycle, it would be a good basic troubleshooting step.
To turn off some appliances, you actually pull the plug on the appliance.
Turn off all devices on your network, computers, routers, modem, printers, mobile devices, etc... in any order you want
Wait a minute
Turn on the modem and let it run for 2-3 minutes by itself
Switch on the device connected to a modem and let run for a minute
Keep turn on devices one at a time about a minute apart, until the entire network is back
Try a backup
Report on the results

Running OS 10.11.3 on my early 2011 Macbook Pro 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7 with 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, use Time Machine to back up to my Airport 802.11ac purchased 16/09/2014:
Backup failed: Time Machine could not complete the backup of... Airport Time Capsule. The backup disk image ' / Volume/Data/MacBookPro.sparsebundle ' could not be found (error (null)). Last successful backup: yesterday at 12:17
I can see the airport and the data file in my network.
I immediately did a full time Machine backup on a USB key and it disconnected from my system.
I unplugged the airport, let it rest for a minute and returned the power plug, let it settle for a green light. I'm restarting Time Machine backup to the airport.
I need to replace the airport? The appliance starts to fail? Or, it is more likely is a problem with winter static electricity that has damaged the image and reconstruction will fix all this. Reconstruction will take about four hours with no guarantee that it will work.
Please see #C17 in this document great support... http://pondini.org/TM/troubleshooting.html

Satellite L655-11J - result of the memory of the Windows experience index
The results are
Processor: 6.9
Memory RAM: 5.9
Graphics: 6.7
G game: 6.7
Hard disk: 5.9 Toshiba mk5059GSXPThe result of the memory is too low?
Hey,.
Why is the result of memory too low? The score is still good scores even other parts are better.
In addition, the Windows experience index is not important in my opinion. You can see a few numbers at the end, but what to do with it? I don't see a reason to make such a test if I convinced and satisfied with my computer. Who care about these things other landmarks? ;)
