My MacBook support a 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM memory, but I find on the internet a SODIMM.

Is it the same? Can I replace it?

I am trying to upgrade my MacBook as it is to slow down and someone told me that I can improve this way. I installed El Capitan, but has not helped.

    Any other advice?

    Thank you

If you need memory so I recommend looking to OWC, DataMemor Crucial. SODIMM specifies a type of module DIMM SDRAM defines the type of used flash memory. Your use of MB:

Maximum memory 6.0 (actuals) 4.0 GB (Apple)
    Memory locations 2-200-pin SO-DIMM DDR2 PC2-5300 (667 MHz)

Search memory with these specifications, and you will be fine.

  • Costume: DDR3 SDRAM Modules

We use a custom Board on which we are interfacing modules DDR3 SDRAM to our FPGA processor.

    The following are our requirements

    1. DDR3 SDRAM module should be at simple level or double rank so unique rank is not available.
    2. The size of the module to 8 GB/16 GB/32 GB ECC based.
    3. Bank = 2 group
    4. Minimum 32 - bit Datawidth
    5. Datawidth of DDR3/LPDDR3 maximum of 64-bit + ECC
    6. RIMM module / FBDIMM base.
    7. Operating temperature must be industrial grade (-40Deg to + 85Deg)

    My question is:

is this memory ECC or NON ECC is it important? Support site HP does not say ANYTHING about
If I buy ECC is compatible or not and vice versa...

    Thank you

    Hello pierjean,

The model of motherboard you have in your Pavilion, a 1106n is present . I found the information to your specifications on HP supports, as you can see in the memory section it shows the modules of memory non - ECC 4 GB 533/400 MHZ DDR2 4 x 240 pin DIMM sockets support unbuffered. That is why we should use the same type.

  • I7 950 and DDR3 1600 memory

I plan a system around an i7 950 CPU, and based on advice from this forum, I want to use 3 x 4 GB memory to make room for a future upgrade to 24 GB.  Most of the 4GB memory in my area is DDR3 1600, rather than 1333.  I may or may not overclock (never done before) - this memory can be used on an X 58 mobo without overclocking?   If you have to overclock to use this memory, the standard Intel heatsink can handle the heat?

    Thank you

Processor clock speed and clock speed of memory can be defined independently of the other, which means that you can run the CPU at stock speed, but run at a different clock speed memory. You define which in the BIOS of your motherboard. If you only overclock the memory (which is to use the full rated speed instead of the standard speed of 1066 or whatever it is the chipset) your CPU does not work to higher time so cooler stock is OK, but it is nevertheless advisable to use a third party cooler due to the better cooling and less noise. The RAM was designed to operate at speeds greater than the X 58 or other chipsets give you standard, so there is no additional cooling required.

  • The upgrade of DDR3 SDRAM

I'm looking to upgrade my SDRAM on my iMac early 2009. I'm comparing sources and I was wondering if anyone has experience and/or recommendations with Axiom and Crucial manufacturers that you can share?

My experience has been to use only Crucial ram or OWC. Bargain brands are not worth.

memory of 1.35 volts will take place also at 1.5 volts but not vice versa. If your current memory is 1.35 volts then 1.35 volts memory 1.5 so the answer is no.

  • Re: Replacement of hard drive / memory level for a Pavilion dv1000

I just got a used dv1000 PC (laptop).  It works and I have the original system for her drives but 60 GB hard drive is a failure.  So I want to replace it with a new one that I get from newegg but I'm not find the documentation useful in the choice of a specific player that is compatible.  It applies to increase the RAM of the current 500K to 1 or 2 GB.

Any recommendations on a new HD and RAM increased?

Also with a new clean HD and an increase in RAM will be this thing then work with (32-bit), Windows 7?  My goal is to be able to use this for basic word processing and surfing the web and the old games that are not compatible with my 64 bit Windows 7 computer.  So W7 is not a must have, it's just smoother and faster to run than XP.  But I really need to replace the HD and add some more RAM.

Ok.  The new RAM has come a little more than a week, installed and works perfectly.  Obtained the hard drive Western Digital 320 and who arrived Thursday or Friday.

Took out the old HD, taken the sleeve out of it, put it on the new and apparently not very well.  Started with and without the XP CD and it could not find the new HD.  Out the new HD for a closer and saw that he could not plug into the Jack of the laptop for her.  PANIC.  Then I remembered the HP manual, there is another piece that I had to remove the old HD; He was there, the small plastic socket adapter.  Plugged into the new HD and it fits and started and let me load up XP from the original CD included with the laptop.

Now, it was time to download updates of 1,000,000 XP.  But no luck, it wouldn't connect to the internet through the LAN cable or wireless no matter how, I tried to set up a new network connection.  After that a few days of market and stop messing around I went and started to search on other forums of HP and by blind chance stumbled upon the one who pointed out that I had to download a bunch of drivers HP specific to the laptop via a computer from work to a flash drive or a CD.  The drivers from the internet no first and then connect to my network home wireless, but not via the LAN cable permitted.  So I let the XP updates, most like that why I exploded and did some useful stuff.  Yesterday when I got time I got all the HP and loaded and installed all drivers and this gave me access LAN network/internet cable at home, without further problems.  Tested both wireless and cable by turning off one and using the other and both found to work really.  HP drivers also made a few other nice improvements in the laptop, especially the graphics performance.

The computer starts rising very fast now too even if the XP it works started out Edition service pack 1.

So now with the computer base and OS upward functions running I want to install the Antivirus & Firewall and then can start loading some software I can not or do not want to put on my regular computer 64-bit.

    Detective Conan, I hope.

  • AMD Radeon HD 8670 M (1 GB DDR3 dedicated memory) - driver

    Hello

We recently purchased number of HP Pavilion n037tx-15 Notebook Laptop PC (product: f3z86pa) for our company, because of the non-familiarites with windows 8 new end-user interface, we had planned to go with windows 7 Professional x 64 edition (which is not recommend HP)

    Problem:

I couldn't find the driver AMD Radeon HD 8670 m at first, but after reading some messages and research I found I should try amd_catalyst_13.11_mobility_betav9.5 driver available on the website of AMD.

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/mobile?OS=Windows%207%20-%2064

After installation, the yellow exclamation sign exploded of the video controller in Manager device, but when I open the graphics card I found AMD Radeon HD M 8600 Series with the sign of the yellow exclamation point.

A glimpse of it is attached.

I don't know the video driver installed correctly or not?

    I'll appreciate your help please.

    Thank you

Thanks for your time and your answer, finally we have upgraded our systems to Windows 8, sp62664 is the right for our AMD Radeon driver which works only with Windows 8 x 64 bit.

  • Dell Optiplex 780 memory update does not

    1. I have purchase Dell Optiplex 780 supplied with memory DDR3 8 GB (4x2Go). I wanted to update so I bought 4 GB RAM (4x1Go) and tried to install it today. The diagnostic lights Dell on 3 and 4, which means that the memory is detected, but at fault. Now, I doubt that this new module of memory are defective. Here's what I did to solve problems:

I took the original strips and installed a new. There are 4 DIMM and I tried to put it in all the 4 connectors DIMM one, but my PC will not start and shows the Dell diagnostic lights lit 3 and 4. then I put my original RAMS but still the same problem has happened that I also tried the two Rams Original one by one in all the slots but same question :(

I also tried without installed memory but still Dell lights lit diagnostic 3 and 4 and no beep heard.

Can someone help me what is the problem real?

    Hi Danish_smartpk,

Welcome to the Dell Community Forum.

If the 3 and 4 diagnostic lights are lit, it is code modules of memory detected, but a memory failure that occurred. You also mentioned that there is not only no beeps no heard when no memory is installed. When no memory is detected by the system, it emits beep codes indicating the same.  If the motherboard is not beep when no memory is installed, it could indicate failure systemboard.

It is generally recommended that the BIOS updated before the new memory being installed. In addition, your computer supports a maximum of 8 GB of RAM DDR3 SDRAM (memory non - ECC only). If it already came with 8 GB of memory, it would not take an additional upgrade.
