  Problem with monitor switch off automatically on start up.

  YOU really need first to establish that your monitor isn't the problem here, before starting troubleshooting upstream (your video card driver could be the next logical step).

  Awkward though it may be, you must first get your checked monitor.  If you don't have a friend or acquaintance who might be able to help, a local computer store would be a logical starting point.

  Method 1: Remove the external devices except the keyboard and mouse and try to restart the computer in safe mode and check if you can start inside.

  I am trying to install the infrastructure grid + Oracle db 11.2.0.3 on a Solaris 11. I'm used to working with Red - hat, so I don't remember having such a problem. The problem is, when you try to execute "runInstaller" as user oracle:

  As far as I know Toshiba don t support WXP for your laptop. Operating system works very well but it can happened some specific applications of Toshiba don't work properly. In your case, there may be utility display (FN + F5).

  How have you tried to activate the TV-out?
  Try it please on this path: Control Panel Display Settings - Advanced. You will find some TV output settings. Check Monitor tab or the tab settings of the graphics card. Try to activate the TV-out with different parameters. Somehow, it should work. :)

  Be attentive to the resolution settings. It can also be very important.

  You can try to check monitor you OSD settings. Select DVI from the seizure. If it is not changed, press and hold the power button / stop for 20-30 seconds it has reset the settings

• No Signal after installing new graphics card

  Hello and thank you in advance for your help!

  We have a 2 years old HP p6540y.  It has an ATI video card integrated. When we recently turned on, we got a message "no signal" on the monitor and then he'd go to sleep.  We tried many things to fix... listed below, in order and are always the same message.  Please advise!

  (1) No Signal: DVI, VGA, HDMI.  So we unplugged and rebooted, no change.

  (2) checked monitor and DVI & VGA cables with another computer: they all work.

  (3) installed new graphics card: NVIDIA GEForce GT 610.  Still got same message "no signal".

  (4) we plugged/unplugged all the other cards/cords / no matter what we could and cleaned.  Then, finally, the monitor turned on! But not for long...

  (5) after you restart the computer after installation of the graphics card driver, we got the 'no signal' message again.  We released once more, other cards/sheets and again once the monitor and the computer came to life.

  (6) we uninstalled the ATI integrated graphics card.  When we go to display, Advanced Options, he mentions our new NVIDIA as graphic/video card.

  (7) we turned computer off during the night and this morning when we have lit, we once agin got the message "no signal".  We have unplugged/plugged computer several times.  Also tried the trick with cards/plugs by pulling and we have nothing.  No Signal.  After doing this several times (about 10), he is finally working again.

  (8) we changed the sleep settings to: screen saver = never; Standby mode = never.

  (9) we restarted again to get once more no signal message.

  So... what should we do?

  Also, the existing PSU is 250W.  The 610 GT requires a minimum of 300W.

  If subscribed on ATV it is connected to your Apple ID and needs material. If you buy or rent via iTunes on ATV, then it is requested check your account. Both would be done via iTunes on the computer

• Unable to control the brightness of the screen

  I have a Pavilion dv6 - 6173cl laptop. It has been fine until recently, when I left it on overnight to finish downloading a file huge work.   2. request for 'Monitors' tree you will see installed PnP-monitor (Standard) in my case, monitor
  3. right click in it, and then select put to update driver
  4. Select 'Browse my computer for driver software ".
  5. choose "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.
  6. keep the "Show compatible hardware" checkbox on
  7. under the list of drivers, you will see "generic PnP monitor '.
  8. Select the option and click "Next".

• XP Pro sp3 updates fail

  Updates are set to notify and in recent weeks when the icon is clicked on a page with a list (of long) is presented and when you click it to download a few seconds the router activity ago then the action stop and the icon disappears.  Updates fail.  A time later same updates are presented again.  Anyone know how to remedy this.

  Some updates are: KB2888505, KB2858302, KB2596615, KB2596672, KB2596785, KB2687311, KB2687499, KB2760416, KB2596843, KB2510531 and KB2596848.  Some of them appear old enough so I don't know what gives.  Until this problem started, the machine was up-to-date and updates were install normally.

  If a manual update is requested check page shows no activity or is running continuously.

  Your instructions helped me to start good SONGS.  Properties of BITS came as shown with the current runtime.  Was able to update of 16 of the 17 updates.  .NET framework 4 failed (KB2858302v2).  .NET repair tool does not accomplish a repair so I downloaded a new copy of .NET and installed in repair mode.  The last update then installed successfully.

• WAG160N - no internet on the wireless

  Hello, I just bought and installed a WAG160N today. I'm hard wired with my main computer and seem to have no problem at all. My lap top vista connects to the bridge, however, has no access to the internet. I changed a few settings, but without result. Any ideas?

  Assuming that your gateway is attributed to your Vista laptop a DHCP IP address, it could be a DNS problem.  Check the settings of the gateway and DNS client. The laptop must be automatically assigned.

  To update the firmware, the majority of countries is Appendix A, for example the United Kingdom and the Australia.  Annex B would be the Germany.  In addition, the entry door you cannot use an incorrect version of the annex.

  This can happen if the monitor has gone bad or damaged cable.
  To find out if the problem is related to the video card on the computer, I suggest you connect another monitor to the computer and check.
  As the current monitor did the same thing when it is connected to another computer, which means that there is a problem with the screen itself.
  I suggest that you contact a store local tech and get checked monitor.
