  The top on my Q5 button doesn't seem to work - I have to push several times (5-10) to get the screen to close - and sometimes holding, and often I find myself all just stop the device.  But if I leave the screen on, I find myself at Pocket-dialing.

  It becomes very frustrating, as I wait for the device to start the device whenever I want to make a phone call.

  The seller States that since it is a problem of 'material', I need to contact BBerry, but all I can find are these support forums, although people very friendly and helpful, are not the representatives of BBerry.

  How can I contact BBerry for this lemon out of my hands?  It did not work properly for more than a week since I got a year-and-a-half ago.

  Thanks for the info.  I pursued this because of them, but the problem is not with the service, it is with the hardware itself - and got absolutely no response from anyone in Blackberry on this subject.  They seem to be more interested in selling new units that keep the customers.

  My Blackberry Curve 8520 I just "App Error 523".

  (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.

  (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
  (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
  (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

  NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer.   Hi all, my original BB curve 9300 was stolen - son he has liked it so much I bought another one from an Internet auction site. All was well until my son has noticed there was no browser button. I rang vodafone who said that everything was fine with his contract. They helped me through the access remote and backed up, then tried to restore and update all nothing done. The only thing they think is that it is a business phone where a company buys a quantity of phones to give to employees, but they do not surf the net, so it is disabled. My question is, is that correct? Can do something to restore the navigation, or is it something else?

  If the seller has not completed ALL their steps, you have purchased a device that can never be able to function fully. But, if all is what the seller failed to detach the COMPUTER of the BB policy, then you can do indeed:

  I think you mean security wipe. A security wipe will delete all your data and applications on your device.

  1. On the BlackBerry smartphone home screen, click Options > Security Options >General settings.
  2. Press the Menu key, then select Wipe Handheld .
  3. Select the include third-party applications check box to remove third-party applications. Clear the checkbox to keep third-party applications.
  4. Click continue.
  5. Type of blackberry, and press the enter key.

  Resetting to the factory command will remove completely all the software on the device.

  You need to reinstall the OS device you can guard password option to reinstall. This is a new installation and will not have the password information stored.
