Reset complete semi on printer

Sorry for the double post, but it is probably best placed to tell.

I'm going round and round with HP support on my printer Photosmart Premium all-in-One C310 for a limit up (or stuck) scanner/copier bar Assembly.

I was asked to do the following:

Perform the Semi full reset on the printer

Support menu: A combination of keys on the home/Idle screen:
BL/BR/TL/TL. Press the touchscreen "Menu support. [after plugging]

This set of instructions are some of the most enigmatic I've ever seen. Those of you who have C310 know what I'm talking about!

Or am I just missing something obvious?

HI, this means that you must press the buttons on the touch screen. Etil works only from the normal standby screen. Low medium BL shortcuts left, TL is in the top left, BR is right bottem and TR is at the top right. See the image below.

    Hello rajbala,.
    Welcome to the HP Forums.

It seems that the display on the front panel of your printer has stopped working properly. I will try to help you with this.

Try the following: white control display panel, it deals with basic to display problems troubleshooting and can be useful for you. It can also prevent the need for a reset. If it does not then provide me the model number of the printer, as you said you have a 8500 a which would be an a910a, however you posted a909a. Find out which of the two you would provide you steps.

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

  • RESET COMPLETE HP 8600 PRO PREMIUM

I spent 3 weeks trying to figure this on my own bc that my Bishop case lewis has no idea. Only to keep telling me I can't do that I can't do that he also told me today there is absolutely nothing else that can be done to help me. Then the tech level 3 Frances tells me that he doesn't know how to do this and it is positive Kael'thas 100% all staff knows not how to do a full complete hard mfg restore the original. I have such a hard time believing that. I said ' really? draw it knows how to do this? "It is a hp product.  who can I get this info later? what I'm trying to accomplish is to be able to use the rest of my Set - up cartridges that I have. I have 4 full nine sets of xl and 2 blk xl. I have been using their right along, as we're exhausted, I remove the old cartridge from Set up and replace it with a new cartridge of set-up. Now what is interesting, is that I took the old game set in a new blk xl, I thought I can't use cartridges of set-up. OK I take the new set in the old game that is not the original game it is without doubt the 3rd.  It ends and the system gives me no errors except that it is empty and of course I can't use it. Take it out to put in the new. get the same error.  Ugh! so it goes... Never have I had a problem, until this last update. So, I want to be able to do is somehow get around the chips on the cartridges, is it possible? or do a complete reset of quenching hard on the printer, is possible? Ive tried to do a partial/full reset which does not work in which the issue of the cartridge some how it I still with little memory. I tried what hp calls a full reset by turning off the unit, unplug the unit two at the back of the unit and the wall. wait 15 seconds and plug back in. not sure it means, but it is not the full reset (not even a partial reset).  So, if anyone has any ideas on how to do this correctly please let me know. I saw something now the # and 9 at the same time and disconnect, it's impossible to do with this machine, because it is a touch screen and you have no buttons to the touch. with a touch screen one touch you one that allows time. You can of course touch 2 at a time, but the system won't recognize 1 being affected both. If this option is unnecessary. Yes, there is the evidence to go out and buy ink, but I have so many perfectly good ink cartridges that are still good, under warranty until the end of this year. I hv been customer hp for nearly 35 years. But btwn this and another question, they push me to very quickly. Any help would greatly be appreciated. I really need to get this work. I have also contacted the hp executive offices and spoke with Janet because I find it ridiculous that tech and mgrs case cannot help with their own products. so I'm tender hand to someone who can help me - even an employee of hp who can possibly know what hey are talking bc everyone I have contact doesn't seem to know what they're talking about, I think it's very sad! I love the products hp but I find quality and customer service has just declined over the years.

Hi there are owners of HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus.

To access the Help menu, there is no need to turn the printer off and on again.  To find the back/back arrow, press the right arrow on the right side of the touch screen.  This will show the arrow back/back (like an arrow to the left).  Must go back to the home menu, this back/back arrow is no longer visible.  Slkowly just press the place where the back/back arrow showed 4 times.  You should now be able to see the Help menu.

Attention, factory full reset seems to require a new set of cartridges of configuration of the printer to work again.  If this isn't the case, please let me know how to bypass the configuration screens.

    Thank you

  • HP z6100: HP z6100 - HOW TO RESET IP ADDRESS to PRINT VIA WEB SERVER?

I bought two designjet z6100 printers.  I sold the first one I had running through the web server.  I had the same problem with the first, but someone talked me through how to give the printer a new IP because I could not access it through the current on the printer.

I need someone to talk to me through this again.  I do not have the person who helped me, but coordinated.

    Help, please.

    Hello

Since the Web server, you can change the DHCP form manual, but cannot reset.

If you want to do a reset, you can get to the front of the printer.

Go to the connectivity > Gigabit Ethernet > Advance > reset

  • Reset & relocate photosmart C6380 printer

I had problems after installing new HP 3 color ink cartridges. printer does not print. I Reset & reinstall the product. I moved the printer to a different room and plugged the power cord in ordinary white paper... charged wall in the status bar.  It says "Press and hold 3 and 6 on the control panel while reconnecting the power cord at the back of the printer."

If the printer is not connected, where can I find the # and 6 on the "Control Panel"?  Can I use my computer? I'm confused because my control panel of the printer is dark. I would certainly appreciate some help, so I can print again.

@ Edwardcharles, I think that this post must have separated from the rest that we did on this topic. It seems to be an exact replica of another post. Here is a link to this post to members of the community who might be looking for a response on that.

  • How to cold reset HP Laserjet p4015x printer?

    What should I do?

I activated the maximum security on the display panel of the printer who locked all menus except the menu 'Retrieve the Job'. I also forgot to activate the HTTPS web server, so even if I have a user name and password I can't access the control panel.

I tried to use the Service with PIN # 05401508 menu, but there was an option to reset the printer.

Yes, it worked! Thank you. I did a cold reset and now I can access the Panel.

The steps were a bit different:

    (1) turn off the printer.

    (2) turn on printer and wait for the display to light upward.

    (3) press and hold the OK"" button.

    (4) when the 'Select Language' option appears, press arrow down to find "Cold Reset".

    5) press 'OK '.

Guide to the administrator for the HP P4015x said no value is defined for "Cold Reset". I tried a cold reset for other HP printers and I couldn't make it work. After that, I tried a few other ideas that I found on the web as reinstall trainer Board, but these ideas did not work either. Then, I felt kind of stupid.

  • HP Color Laserjet 2605dn: Print is washed out/completely wilted on printer 2605dn

We have a Laserjet 2605dn HP color printer has intermittent printing problems. Most of the time, the quality of the printed output is very well, but from time to time, the print quality deteriorates completely. After a while, printing then returned back its normal quality.

The printer is on a network and serves as WIndows XP/7/8/10 and Linux machines as it has throughout his life. He has never had a genuine HP toner cartridges installed. It is not heavily used, we print usually less than 100 pages per week, often less.

The problem is that out of all the colors and black, gets so bad as to be unreadable. The printed output is so washed out it's (almost) impossible to read anything through the entire page. This can happen for all the pages of an entire document, but often it will print the first part of a multipage fine print job and then the quality deteriorates gradually to illegibility. Subsequent print jobs will also sometimes unreadable, but are also likely to print correctly. There seems to be trigger (that we can determine) this behavior or when it will happen well.

While the printer was used for a few years, he printed out a little more than 20 000 pages in total. This leads me to think that age should not be a problem. We replaced all the cartridges, tried recalibration, print cleaning pages, all without success. I found a solution for a problem of fading Magenta also requires cleaning the mirrors, but our problem is not that same as - everything fades to nothing in our printer, it is not a case of a single color fade a little, is much more radical than that.

Suggestions as to how we could solve this problem? Is there additional information that might help diagnose the cause and suggest a fix?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

It looks like I won't get my hands dirty inside this printer after all. The boss decided it would probably be too annoying overall for me (US) to try to fix it. So he decided to buy a new color printer and remove it.

Thanks for the answers to my questions.

Now I just need to find how to mark it as "resolved", or otherwise close it, as appropriate in this forum.

  • Problem of reset complete Windows 8.1

As the title says I have problems reset my Gateway AMD Quad-Core laptop to its factory settings. More than a year of playing games online, I downloaded several downloads of terrible software that now has left me with a bunch of nasty viruses. I don't have any recovery disks or anything that came with the computer. I tried to make a start in minimum mode and cmd ' sfc/scannow' options that I read online and nothing has worked. I think I have a third party or program is not leaving my computer resets to factory settings. Here's the problem in its entirety.

-J' go to the bar of charms, then click settings

-Then I click on change PC settings

-I can go to the "Recovery" tab and select the Middle option which reads 'remove all and reinstall Windows.

-I click on 'Get Started'. Tab said preparation... then pops up saying: 'There was a problem of reset your PC' and 'no changes '.

-There is now a link to the title of these two phrases that says "check the solutions to this problem" I click on this option and the program closes right down and I'm back to where I started.

This same problem for Windows 8.1 jumped several times on the forums and not a single one has been addressed or answered. The virus that has infected my computer has completely slowed down its speed and now seems to control what I do. If anyone has any suggestions or help with this problem, I would be very happy that I have my computer back with a fresh start. Thank you!

Thank you very much for the response, I'm going to get a big enough flash drive to perform this operation. Says I need a 16GB. I will reply back with the results

  • Slow Mac Pro after that reset complete and SSD upgrade

    Hi all

A few weeks ago, my Mac (mid-2012) began to slow down, finally I tok inside the store for some advice. The guy told me to run check disk, repair disk etc, I did, but it did not help. I then decided to collect the files that I wanted to keep and reset my mac, still no better. Then I tried to upgrade to El Capitan, which made things worse. After hours of fiddling and waiting I finally ended up back with somehow Mountain Lion.

I went back to the store where he then said that my hard drive has failed and we must replace, so I've upgraded to a GB Samsung SSD 850 250 evo. This is a slight improvement that I managed to get to El Capitan on it now. However, the startup time is about 7-8 minutes and any task takes a ridiculous time amount, I get the Rainbow wheel very often - even though at this point, I have no software installed except that downloaded as a basis (other than Spotify) nor do I have all the files on my hard drive either - once again, other than those that come by default. I would say that the performance has not improved the outcome of this change of hard disk.

I'm pretty stuck now, my CPU usage seems to go up in the pics, but there is no indication as to what is causing these spikes. I disabled the spotlight, but that did not help either.

    Help please?

Run this test and post the results here.

  • Hp5520 all-in-one: Hp5520 need to reset password every time print set up wizard

3 weeks of holiday worked very well recognize now iPhone, iPad or Mac laptop. Says it is connected but can print only when I go to the wizard set up set password. HP 5520 all-in-one

    Hey @A-B,.

I understand that you must run the Wireless Setup Wizard and enter your wireless password to establish a connection when you try to print from your Apple to your HP Photosmart 5520 devices e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Because the printer shows 'connected' but fails to print if you run the Wireless Setup Wizard, the problem you are experiencing is most likely in the router itself. When you have a wireless printer is really no area gray: it either works or it doesn't. If the printer fails to connect wireless, the wireless card may be damaged. If the printer connects wireless (even if it is intermittent) the wireless card works. Because your connection seems to be intermittent the router can be see your printer as a threat and intermittently block printing and scanning wireless two-way communication. That being said, there are a few troubleshooting steps that we can attempt to create a more stable and reliable wireless between the printer and Apple devices.

    Powercycle router:

The next time the Wi - Fi connection problem occurs, do not run the Wireless Setup Wizard on your printer. Instead, you're going to have to powercycle your router. This step will also prove with certainty at 100% if your router is the origin of this conflict of connectivity. If your printer is working well after the powercycle, then the router is the cause of the connectivity problem.

    1. Start by unplugging the power cable to your router
    2. Once your router is unplugged, turn your printer off
    3. Then, shut down your computer
    4. After 30 seconds to 1 minute, plug your router back in
    5. Then, turn on your printer
    6. Turn on the computer

After a few moments, your internet connection will return. Please check on your Mac you are able to navigate to Web sites. Once the internet is to answer, test print. If printing works fine now continue to use your printer as the question can not return.

If the question comes up, ports and settings will be verified on your router.

    • Ports to open and settings to adjust the router:

If you don't know how to check the ports and parameters listed below, you may need to talk with the manufacturer of your router for assistance.

    Ports to open:

    • The incoming Ports (UDP): 80, 137, 138, 161, 427, 44
    • Coming out of Ports (TCP): 137, 139, 427, 5222, 5223, 9100, 9220, 9500

    Parameters to be set:

    • MAC filtering must be OFF
    • Firmware on router must be updated
    • Firewall on the router may need to be OFF for the test
    • The multicast must be turned on
    • Hello must be activated
    • If you use a dual band router, make sure you printer and devices are connected to the 2 ghz band. Printers are not supported on connections to 5 ghz

After made the settings of the router, please test wireless printing and scanning to confirm that the problem has been resolved.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. If you feel that the steps I have provided solved this problem please mark my post as a Solution for other users on the Forums of HP Support can easily find these steps. Good luck!
