    Hello

Maybe a few pieces of paper is still stuck inside. Try the following two and check if any stage of work:

  • I used a password reset disk to access the Password Wizard, whenever I have propose a new password, it gives the error message

I used a password reset disk to access the Password Wizard, whenever I have propose a new password, it gives the error message "" an error occurred while the wizard attempted to set the password for this user account". I can't pass this screen and am virtually blocked the computer phone iam trying to access. What can I do? It comes to Windowns 7 Home Premium

This probably means that your password disk drive is not up-to-date. Here are the other options built into Windows to help you get out of this situation:

    • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
    • Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
    • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
    • Use the password indicator (only works if an indicator was created and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
    • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)
  • Error message comes up saying ' there is a problem resetting your PC has not changed. "

    Original title: reinstalling Windows

My laptop (Dell Inspiron) comes preinstalled with Windows 8, but not working now - it runs very slowly and often takes multiple attempts to turn on. Often said 'Prepare auto repair' when I turn it on, it remains just on this message.

It's less than 3 years old (out of warranty) so I think that it's a software problem and not material.

I tried to do a factory reset to clear the laptop, but an error message comes up saying ' there is a problem resetting your PC has not changed. "

I then tried to create an installation of windows on a USB media using my product key, but impossible to use my product key for retail sales.

I am now at a loss of what to do that my laptop is pretty useless as it is.

  • refox will not download on my computer and Ideleted version I've had (so I can't do a reset). All I get is a blank screen and an error message saying something

I was erase my browser history and when I arrived at time interval, I went into everything. When I tried to go back to Firefox, I got, it's a blank page and an hourglass. I deleted the program so I could reload a new version. When I try to do it I get this white page and an error message that says "plugin container.exe has encountered an error and needs to close." That's all. No matter what I do, I can not download a new Mozilla.

A huge history of compensation could freeze the browser for a minute or three. If Firefox closed abnormally while he was cleaning up the database that stores the history (and bookmarks), it may be damaged. I hope that this will not be a problem for you.

First of all, you can download a complete installer from the following page (scroll to the bottom for your language):

    https://www.Mozilla.org/Firefox/all/

You should be able to do it in any browser, so if Firefox does not work properly, try using IE.

You can then run the installation program to update Firefox.

Second, after a crash, Firefox will try to restore your previous session windows and tabs. This could be properly where a plugin is not put into service and generates error on plugin - container.exe. If you are willing to lose your last open windows and tabs, you can start Firefox up to a blank page. Here's how:

Type or paste the following text in the search box of the start menu and press ENTER to run it:

    firefox.exe "about:blank"

Does it work? If Firefox is stable, you can try to recover the session previous windows and tabs by using either:

    • Menu > history > restore previous Session
    • type or paste about: sessionrestore in the address bar and press enter

    Any improvement to date?

Been authorized since except this error right click of the mouse.

Looks like you may have a bad Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) add on.

What is your version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

    Here are a few thoughts:

When the Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) is wrong to behave on a right click, begins to suspect third-party add-ons explore extension.

Those who would be the Explorer extensions that do not belong to Microsoft.  This means that extensions that you have added.  Solution Explorer extensions are generally well and installation of certain applications will install extensions from Explorer solutions for you, give you a choice and sometimes they can be added sometimes without your knowledge or consent when you install some software.

Have you installed new software because the system finally worked correctly and if so, what?

Solution Explorer extensions are sometimes added as a new right-click option, you see on folders and files (like the scan of this file, open that file, play this song).  When you right click on something, the Explorer wants to display a menu of choices.  If there is a bad or outdated extension, Explorer may crash.

If there is something in particular that you do during exploration that you know will be the cause of the problem, which will help focus on the problem and the help that you suddenly know, when you have found and corrected.  If you can get there when you want it, make an adjustment, then there is no message the next time you do whatever it is you're doing, you've found and fixed (or perhaps you can fix).

First of all you need a way to see what modules explore you have installed now and a way to turn them off (not uninstall them) so you can understand that we are at the origin of the problem.  You can have a lot of extensions not installed Microsoft don't even know you about.

Download ShellExView here to see what Explorer extensions you have loaded:

    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/shexview.html

ShellExView does not install anything on your computer, simply of runs and displays.

After launching ShellExView, under Options, choose "Mark non-Microsoft Extensions" and extensions not Microsoft will be pink, clear, but on some systems which is a difficult color to see, so click on display, choose the columns and move the column Microsoft closer to the top, so you can see on your screen without having to scroll left and right.

Click on the column header for Microsoft not to sort the display (by clicking on the column of Microsoft) if all the "" s are on top and easy to see.

The s in 'No' would be things you have added (non-Microsoft) and are what you should be suspect.

You can also Google the name of a suspect add-on and see if there are visits, on Explorer crashing and what other people have done about it.

    You can Google something like:

    Explorer XP crashing

(you must fill in the name of adds your suspect on).

See what kind of search results hits you get and are looking for solutions or situations that sound like yours.

I'm not a defender of trial and error, but I can't think of another way to do...

Right click and disable the extensions one at a time non-Microsoft keep a list so you can enable them again later if you wish. The result of the change is immediate and no reboot is necessary.  Test your failure condition.

If you recognize all the extensions that have been added or recently downloaded, start with these first.

Disabling the extension does not uninstall the extension - it is just disabled.

Disable them one at a time until your right click on do not generate an error, then restart and test again.  Last extension you have turned off the
    a suspect.

You can also just disable all non-Microsoft extensions, restart and allow them one at a time until you find the one that generates the condition.

The hope is that you will find an extension that caused the error, and then you can figure out what on this subject - either uninstall it or see if you can get an update of the author of the extension of their web page.

I have not your problem, but when you turn off/turn on extensions, the extension is immediately disabled, so disable an extension does not seem to require a restart, but if you find the problem, I reboot and retest anyway to really be sure that the problem has disappeared.

If you post your non-Microsoft extensions list, maybe someone will recognize it as a potential problem.

If you find the offending extension that's the problem, please let us know what it is that I can add to my list.

If you get a blue screen of death (BSOD), you must do this:

The next time your system crashes, provide more information on what you see.
Here's a BSOD example showing information you provide:
Send for the nose and the Red arrows (3 to 4 lines total).
Send all * line STOP message since there are clues in the 4 parameters.
If there is a name of the file listed in the STOP message, don't forget to include this information too.
Ignore the boring text unless it seems important to you.  We know what a BSOD looks like, we need to know what your BSOD looks like.

Finally, I'd be curious to know why you say you get an error message and tell us what the error message said.

Came to print a pdf doc today, nothing had changed, not even turned off my PC, and instead of printing, I had 2 error messages as shown in the screenshots.

Tried all the tricks to reset printer, including the manual removal of the entries in the prefs.js thereafter. -no luck.

Does not yet reach the step of putting the file in the print queue.

Chrome, chrome and IE11 all work fine.

Tried Googling the error message but get that nothing related

When I click Yes on the change printer port I just get my printer Manager application will appear on the screen, nothing specific to the error.

Hi, it seems you use the nightly version of firefox which is intended for developers and where things are connected to break from time to time. If you use firefox for productive purposes you might want to consider moving to a more stable channel: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/channel/#firefox

  • Firefox reports an error of TLS for a website that I trust, but provides no way to override the error message.

For a few months (end of 2015) Firefox returned an error of "secure connection failed" when I try to access my account at a major insurance. The site worked fine in Firefox for years and works very well with Microsoft Edge, but I prefer to use Firefox. The link "more info" in the error message indicates that the message the site uses outdated TLS security and I have to contact the owners to tell them to update. I've tried and failed; Blue Cross makes it even more difficult to "contact us" that Mozilla does.

Why is there no no "I trust this site - go anyway" option? I'm experienced enough to make my own decisions of safety.

Thank you! The security.tls.version.max had been "user set" with a value of 1, and I have reset as you indicated. The value is now 3 and I could access my Blue Cross account normally.

I guess that dates this problem when I got my new computer and did a new install of Firefox to August 10. The TLS parameter is perhaps one provided with the download.

BTW, I noticed BitDefender in the news of the page also. The error page didn't identify its source; 'other info' led to support from Mozilla, but I was wondering if my antivirus was the culprit. Apparently, this is the setting in place of security of Firefox.

    Problem solved, thank you, jscher2000!

  • Firefox and Thunderbird just does turn, no error message. Process on abandonment, leaves get the accident message after a while.

    Hello

Since last night, my Firefox just turns, unable to find or load any URL. It's never stops and gives an error message, everything. On leaving, the dying process persists for a minute or two before reporting that Firefox has crashed. My Thunderbird also has the same problem.

My internet works, I can sit on IRC, use IE as browser, sit on Skype etc.

I tried to restart my router and my PC, I emptied my DNS, I scanned my computer with AVG and Malwarebytes, all came clean. I changed the connection settings in Firefox to see if that solved, but he did not. I tried to start Firefox in Mode safe, did not help either. I tried to reinstall both programs, almost nothing works and at the moment I am at a standstill.

    Kind regards
    Kodain

It was probably a problem with the Windows internet settings and their release would have worked as well. That could be done by restoring the advanced settings for Internet Explorer and then reset IE to factory default.

However, I am happy to hear that you're having no longer any problems with your internet connection.

I hope you enjoy and continue to use our great products of Mozilla.

  • Error message when you try to install Windows on OSX 10.10.5 10

I have a Mid-2014 retina Macbook Pro and I am trying to use the Bootcamp Assistant to install Windows 10 on OS X 10.10.5 and Bootcamp version is 5.1.4. I can't upgrade to El Capitan from now due to work related software, long story!

I took the steps so far:

    (1) reset the PRAM.

    (2) reset SMC.

    (3) ensure that only a single partition is present using disk utility.

    (4) check the permissions of the drive and repair at least twice.

    (5) check the disc.

    (6) use Bootcamp assistant create the Windows Installer by using 64-bit Windows 10 iso file downloaded from Ms. All boxes have been checked.

    (7) in a suitable place when Windows Setup asks me what partition choose, I select created Bootcamp partition and click on Format. Product key has been entered each time.

    (8) installation continues until the point where it says "Ending up", then a pop-up window comes up saying "Windows cannot update the configuration to start the computer, Setup cannot continue."

    (9) I click OK and the window behind what is said "installation has been cancelled, any changes made to your computer will not be saved."

    (10) the computer is stuck on this screen for awhile. When, finally, he tries to restart, I just get a white screen. and eventually everything goes off.

    (11) when I turn on again, if I hold down the Option, I can see the OS X partition, partition Windows, recovery disc, then Windows on my USB (in yellow) and the "EFI Boot' in yellow.

    (12) I tried to click on Boot EFI, and goes through the same installation process and gives me the same error.

    (13) I tried to click on the Windows USB button, it starts to install (with the normal resolution unlike every other time) and this time gives me the error message "Windows cannot be installed on partition disk 0" (View details) "when I click it, it says"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is the GPT partition style. »

I'm pulling my hair out on this one (and I don't have much to lose) Please HELP!

Your Mac of 2014 is able to support two different types of Windows, most modern BIOS or EFI old installation.

The Windows icon on USB is the method inherited from the BIOS while the start EFI icon is the most recent and modern method. Each has its own requirements for partitioning.

2014 BC on 5.1.4 Assistant should have three check boxes. The first two should be checked only once to build the installer, while the last one can be used as needed.

    1. use the last checkbox to delete the current partition of BC.

    2. use only a USB flash drive (USB2 is preferable), other USB devices or SD cards cause problems.

    3. run SMC/NVRAM reset external storage after everything is disconnected.

    4. the USB should be directly connected on the Mac. Do not use a USB hub.

    5. your ISO source must be an ISO only 64-bit and about 4 + GB. ISOs larger and mixed-mode are not valid for MCR, although they can run on an ordinary PC.

6 re - run BCA and check the last box - only install or delete... and try again.
