  In my lab at home, I am able to do with VMware vSphere Flash Read Cache (vFRC) practical, I don't have SSD on my desk.

  In vmware workstation-11, I created a 5.5 esxi and added the local hard disk. It is an SSD not and I've marked as SSD.

  in VC the reader is now considered ssd however in VMware vSphere resource management Flash when I click on add ability he is unable to see the SSD (not marked as ssd).

  Any suggestions on how to turn it on.

  As far as I KNOW, the SSDS should be visible as "local". You can run the command.esxcli storage core device list -d   and check if the device is showing as local ssd

  My DVD player has been discovered as a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20N but is only showing as a CD drive in my computer screen.

  Since the switch from Vista to XP I have not adjusted my BIOS settings

  I just bought P200 - 1 K 9 and spotted (Vista 32-bit) Device Manager shows two different processors under the section of processors:

  Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00GHz
  Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 @ 2.40 GHz CPU

  I expected to see the two excatly the same processors here.

  Vista recognizes in general CPU core 2 duo 2.4 GHz, BIOS too.
  What is on the Device Manager?

  Is there something wrong with the CPU? Should I return it better?
  Would you please check your processor in Device Manager (start-> right click on computer-> select Properties-> Device Manager) and let me know what you have?

  the you´ve got problem is not a problem. It s just a simple bug in the Vista Device Manager and hardware abstraction layer.
  Follow these steps:
  Remove the CPU from the Device Manager (uninstall just like any other device) and then restart windows. The processor will be indicated correctly next time you reboot the system.

  I'm working on the restoration of material capacity old test using some spare disks.  I'm looking in the resource Configuration Manager, and I am puzzled.

  I'm looking in the resource manager is National Instruments MAX (Version 2.0.3.17).  What has intrigued me is that, under the 'devices and Intersfaces', I don't see any instrument listed under.  Windows hardware Manager, I would have two ISA Serial Port and a GPIB card (which is also ISA).

  MAX isn't supposed to list these instruments?  Do I need to add the instrument manually?

  And, is this version of resource manager works fine with Windows 98?

  Hi Peggy,

  If you have not all devices listed under "Devices and Interfaces", I suspect that you have not yet installed the drivers, or the device loader is not started.

  You have NEITHER-488. 2 (GPIB) and NI-VISA (serial ports) installed the drivers? You can find the drivers here , but you will have to go back a few pages to find drivers compatible with Windows 98.

  When you confirm that you have installed the drivers, I'll be happy to dig deeper with you. Thank you!

• Device Manager shows no device, is empty

  My 8200 Dell under XP Professional SP3 shows not all devices in Device Manager.  I think that it started very recently when I was installing TM Internet Security after the removal of Norton Anti Virus 2009.  Eventually after using Norton Removal Tool. It doesn't show the devices safe.  Plug and Play is on.  I recently installed an old HP DeskJet 820Cse printer using existing drivers.  I do not think that article 953979 applies since it just (seem), took place but it seems to fit the description.  Any help is appreciated.

  There is a Microsoft 953979 patch that works, but it didn't on mine, I then found this articale and followed the instructions and it worked.

  (1) logged as an administrator;
  (2) Regedit > HKLM\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\ENUM.
  (3) right clicked Enum and gives right to the system and administrators full control.
  (4) clicked the button Options at the bottom of the window.
  (5) on the Advanced window checked 'reset permissions on all child objects... ". »
  (6) the deleted Enum key. Error message: error while deleting key. I had to remove this key twice because initially, it appeared the remains of Enum key. After that, the locked ENUM\ROOT\LEGACY_SSDPSRV who already had a lot of weird symbols example $% &' () * +-, etc., now gone. Registry shows an own ENUM\ROOT subkey.
  (7) PC rebooted and back connected to Windows;
  (8) window of the Device Manager showed some yellow exclamation not to mention that some devices not recognized, then refreshed a few times showing successively less then not many of these features.
  (9) PC rebooted again;
  (10) message screen saying according to Windows has finished installing new devices, and the computer must be restarted before the new settings take effect.
  11) Yes to restart the computer

  Now the Device Manager window is full and all devices running again!

  This solution works for my situation. I hope this helps someone.

  This problem occurs if the Windows file system transaction log is damaged. The Windows file system uses the transaction log to retrieve the system transactions when a file error occurs.   Try different types of browsers (IE or FF or CHROME), one of them works generally. If this is not the case, try to connect until system administrator (again try all 3 types of browser).

• How to see the a ditamap topicrefs nested in the resource manager?

  I use 12 FM. I'm trying to move a document of 500 pages with several chapters in Dita 1.2. I use a ditamap by chapter. When I nest ditamaps under a main ditamap using maprefs, I do not see the topicrefs of each card. Also, the subjects are not displayed when the PDF is generated. How can I make all the topicrefs appear in the resource manager?

  You do not see the topics in the section maps form the root card. When you open a map, you see the topicrefs for this card not the submaps. If you want to see the topicrefs, double-click the map reference and it will open the plan of the chapter. Maybe it's an interesting feature, but it doesn't currently work in this way. If you want to see all the topicrefs together, you will need to put them all in a single card.

  The issue of topics in submaps are not included when you generate a PDF file sounds like a bug (or you have something set wrong). You can try to change the maprefs to topicrefs. A mapref is really just a special type of topicref, and the build process cannot be put in place to manage maprefs.
