Respond to a voice message to another Subscriber 4.2 (1)

I noticed that I can't answer another Member who left me a message

-box of the unit

-response from Subscriber to Subscriber

It was the option '4' to respond to voice mail with a voice message, but no luck. I also tired of "44" to call the Subscriber back, no chance.

Has it been replaced by Live recording? or I do something wrong?

Thank you

Tommer

couple here things.

Simple answer (4) is always void messages. Period.

Live webcam response (44) can be lit in the COS.

Neither is offered if the message is not labeled from another Subscriber. So I guess that the voice message from an external caller.

  • Retrieving voice messages through Exchange

    Hello

My client has the 4.0 unit (3) via local only virtual machine configuration. They want to know if it is possible to recover a virtual machine to a message to subscribers store Exchange mailbox. They need access to the voice message in its native format (.wav?) to send it to someone by e-mail.

Is this possible? If so, how can I get the voice message from the message store?

    Thanks in advance.

    Lee

If it's just a unique thing and what you need is the WAV file, the best way to do it is to configure an internet subscriber in the unit that has an e-mail address of someone the mailbox, you can get to - and then before the message from the Inbox to the inernet subscriber telephone - it will be delivered to the SMTP address that you specify for the internet subscriber as an e-mail with room attached WAV.

This means that the unit is connected to a server Exchange which has its gateway SMTP properly configure that for installation only VM is probably not the case (but you can implement that).

You can also just connect a customer to the mailbox in question (e.g. to install Outlook on another box - NOT the unity server) and connect to the mailbox on the Exchange Server that the unit is connected to. As a regular practice, this violates your contract of license from any desktop access to mail requires a license (license of UNIFIED messaging) or licenses web client for the web inbox. But for a single instance like this, I'm sure that licensing on the Lords to look away.

If it's something they want in the future, I set up the aforementioned SMTP commands or pay for a few licenses web inbox properly cover this sort of thing.

  • SPA112 voice message indicator problem

    Hello

I'm a newbee in voip, so I hope that my description of this problem makes no sense.

When there is a voicemail my dect phone displays an icon. So far so good. But after that I listen to and delete voice messages and create another voicemail, the icon shows no more. It's a do time to the event. After that I reload the SPA112 it works again, but only for once more.

    Everything else works fine.

Because the SPA112 is behind a NAT, I put the nat keep alive and mapping nat on Yes. The nat keep alive message and destination is by default $notify and $proxy.

In the SIP settings I put keep nat alive at 15.

    Firmware: 1.3.3 (015)

There are other parameters to be defined?

    Kind regards

    Jos

Glad to hear that, although I have no idea how the switch caused the original problem.

Mark the thread as answered, please. It will help others to find solutions.

  • Transmission of voice messages by extension instead of name?

Is there a setting in the unit in advance voice messages by extension, rather then the spelling of a name? I think the name is faster, but for some reason... we have a few vps who think differently.

    Thank you

    Hi Tommer,

Hows things? I hope all is well with you!

Take a look at this snippet and document. I think that's what you're looking for:

    For an individual user.

    Change your Message to setting

Cisco Unity provides two methods for sending messages to other subscribers using the keyboard of your phone:

Spell out a name of the Subscriber.

Enter an extension of the Subscriber.

You change the address of message that Cisco Unity uses by default only from Cisco Unity Assistant, not by phone. Depending on how Cisco Unity is set up, you may be able to switch between the entrance of the spelling and number by pressing on # when prompted to send a message by phone regardless of the message addressing the setting you choose in the Cisco Unity Assistant.

To change your Message to setting

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1 in the Cisco Unity Assistant, in the Preferences menu, click on the phone Menu.

Page on the phone preferences Menu of stage 2, in addressing when a Message I would like to identify a Subscriber by section, click the option you want to use by default for messages that you send.

Step 3 scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Or change to a default parameter;

Conversation settings for the Subscriber model

The conversation of the standard Subscriber is a set of prerecorded instructions and options that Cisco Unity plays by phone to subscribers when they listen to, send, and manage messages, and they change their Cisco Unity settings. Note that Cisco Unity also offers an alternative to the standard conversation conversation.

Subscribers > Subscriber model > Chat Page

    * Identify a Subscriber by *.

Select how the subscribers address messages to other subscribers. Subscribers can address messages over the phone by entering extensions of the Subscriber, by spelling out their name or spelling of their surnames. Name address requires letters keyboards on phones of the Subscriber.

In the conversation subscriber, subscribers can pass a name address and addressing by extension by pressing the key twice. Note that when the box hit the search name spelled is disabled on the system > Configuration > page settings, subscribers can address messages over the phone only by entering subscriber extensions.

  • Please share your entries on Eg1 and Eg2 dependence of voice messaging port to be hardware based or can be added on a basis of carta ala?

    Hello

Please share your entries on Eg1 and Eg2 dependence of voice messaging port to be hardware based or can be added on a basis of carta ala?

1 pls correct if wrong, the number of voicemail ports depends on which model of supported connection of the unit hardware is selected. In addition, the number of voice messaging ports cannot be added as a carta ala and it comes with the hardware.

Eg1; with the unit Connection8.6 on MCS7845 standalone server would support 250 voicemail ports and if the connection of the unit is used in active-active mode then total 500 voicemail ports would be available with the cluster of connection of the unit.

Eg2; On a platform of the UCS, the UCS C210 M2 Server connection unit 8.6 with capacity of 10,000 EGGS of voicemail, the voicemail ports would be available:

(i.) the limits of stand-alone Configuration:

    • 150 ports G.711 and G.729a (combined TUI, VUI or TTS)
    • 35 ports iLBC or G.722

(ii) limits for the active/active Cluster Configuration:

    • 300 ports G.711 and G.729a (combined TUI, VUI or TTS)
    • 70 ports iLBC or G.722

(iii) EGGS during model for the Connection8.6 with 10000 EGGS Voicemail capacity 300 GB HARD drive unit is installed on UCS C210 M2 server, he would in his own assign vCPU = 4, RAM = 6 GB, vHDD = 300 GB 150 ports of voicemail and.

If more than 150 voicemail ports are necessary, then we can have the Connection8.6 of the unit using the active/active mode, then 300 voicemail ports would be available.

However, if the number of necessary voicemail ports is more than 300, then need to install, Connection8.6 20 000 unit model voicemail OVA on UCS C210 M2 Server capacity. This model has according to the capacity of voice messaging port:

    Stand-alone Configuration limits:

    • 250 ports G.711 and G.729a (combined TUI, VUI or TTS)
    • 60 ports iLBC or G.722

Limits for the active/active Cluster Configuration:

    • 500 ports G.711 and G.729a (combined TUI, VUI or TTS)
    • iLBC 120 ports or G.722

    Concerning

    Sumit

There is a hardware support and licensing aspect for the number of ports.  From a support perspective, the number of ports is limited by the physical server hardware (e.g., platform) or virtual resources (i.e., as specified in the files of EGGS).  However, the number of ports, you can configure is also based on how many ports you are licensed for the.  For example, you can have a server that can support 250 ports but if your license file contains only 16 ports then you will only be able to configure 16 ports on the system.  I have a scenario where a customer needed to add more ports; However, I don't think it would be a problem.

When you talk about port capacities for the connection of the unit, I would recommend that you focus more on the ability of the server port unique compared to the ability of the cluster for normal operations.  Connection of the unit is designed as a cluster in active / active in the intention to provide 100% failover of services if a server is offline.  The recommended design is that the Subscriber must manage all calls with the possibility of overflow to the transformation Editor.  IOW, if you want to support 500 simultaneous calls on a consistent basis but each server is capable of supporting 250 ports on its own then only a failure of a server would immediately block 50% of services.

Can I listen to a voice message then save as a new voicemail?

I need to be able to listen to a voice message, and then save this as new voice mail as a way to remind me that voicemail requires further action.  Is it possible to do?

I'm on AT & T with an iPhone 5s.  Latest iOS.

As to listen to voice messages via the carrier's own analog servers, it cannot be marked as not read times read.

One idea would be to save them as voice memo, or share, as offered here - How to save voicemails on your iPhone - Apple Support

For some reason I can't access my voice messages.  I will receive a new message, click the play button, but nothing happens.

I have to turn my phone, then turn it back on, which allows me to access my messages.

  • How can I send voice messages in Spanish

How can I send voice messages in Spanish

    Hello

On your Apple Watch, after tapping on answer, press firmly on the screen, and then tap on choose language to a different language for your reply (including the dictation).

The default language for a conversation in Messages is on the same language as the active keyboard on your iPhone (in Messages) for this particular conversation. When you change the language of the keyboard for this conversation on your iPhone, it also changes on your Apple Watch.

To change the language for a chat on your iPhone (and also on your watch):

    • Lock your iPhone (press the Sleep / Wake button briefly).
    • Open the conversation with this contact on your watch and press on answer.
    • On your iPhone, press the Sleep / Wake button briefly to display the lock screen.
    • The lower left corner of the lock screen, drag upward on the Messages icon (where transfer icons appear).
    • This will open this conversation in Messages on your iPhone.
    • Press the symbol of the globe by the SPACEBAR on the keyboard of the iPhone and choose your preferred language.
      • To add international keyboards, on your iPhone, first go to: settings > general > keyboard > keyboards > add new keyboard.
    • Start typing a response on your iPhone (one or more characters), then delete (implements the choice of language of keyboard for this conversation).
    • On your watch, in the Messages application, exit the screen to answer.
    • Start a new response when this conversation - the new language will be used for dictation and short answers in this conversation.

  • "Voice Message Upload Error" - creation of a personal voicemail does not work

    HI again!

    Just a note to ask if someone at Skype can help with a tech questions. Just set up my new shiny number (which does not yet!) and then tried to set up voicemail. Sometimes I can save a virtual machine but not read or save it and I get messages like;

'Upload voice error message' and 'Voice Message error reading '.

Seems to Skype and I got off to a bad start! Help appreciated and I tried this for an hour and no luck at all!

    Thank you

    Sarah

I had the same problem, and I was looking for help, but could not find.

It's very frustrating not being able to record a greeting voicemail customized because default greeting looks like very hostile. (A stern survey woman says: "the party that you want to reach is unavailable!") He said not even the appellants what number they have reached so they could be left wondering if they have reached a sufficient number.

In any case... I hit on an idea and tried it out, and it worked!

One of the buttons has two sets of arrows going round and round. It is the button to reset the voicemail for the default greeting. You wouldn't click to record a custom greeting, but I moved and that you have clicked this button, and he asked me if I was sure that I wanted to return to the default welcome message. On a hunch, I selected the Yes option. After I did it, all of a sudden I could record a voice greeting! (Press the red circle to save, press again to stop the recording and press the green arrow to play it back and see how it sounds.)

I hope this helps someone out there.

  • Unknown caller, leaving voice messages

Does anyone know how to prevent a caller to leave voice messages? Initially it was a normal number that I blocked. Now, it appears as Unknown caller and leaves voice messages all the time. I think it's one of these robo-dialers as voice messages, it leaves is just constant beep like a fax machine. I get about 5-7 calls from this number every day and it leaves a virtual machine all the time. Quite boring. I think that this beyond the normal settings on the iPhone so maybe there is an application that can do?

You can block someone from calling or texting you in two ways:

To block someone who has been added to the Contacts on your phone, go to settings > phone > blocked > add new. All Contacts window appears where you can scroll through the names and type the name of the contact you want to block. You will be taken back to the window blocked with the name added to the list of blocked contacts.

Parameters, contacts can be also blocked selection of Messages or Facetime and then following the instructions above.

In the case where you want to block a number that is not stored as a contact in your phone, go to the phone application > Recents. Watch the number (or name) you want to block and tap the blue 'i' with a circle around it to the right of the number. Scroll to the bottom of the plug contact that appears and select "Block this caller." The message "You will not receive FaceTime, messages or phone calls from people on the red list" appears with two options: block contact or cancel. Hit the block Contact to add the number to the blocked list, bad.

Block Messages by selecting the message with the contact and typing Contact thread in the upper right. Select the information icon and move forward with the same instructions as in the most recent in the phone tab.

Sorry but you need a 3rd party software as touch copy for voice messages so you can always listen to them.

  • Play a voice message before receiving faxes

I have a HP 6500 has connected to my desktop computer that is connected to a telephone VoIP (MagicJack) system.  Through the MJ I can receive faxes, that part works fine.  My question is:

Is it possible to have the HP (or my computer) answer the call, then play a voice message before receiving faxes so that callers 'voice' can be a warning that they called a fax line until they get a blaireing beep sound in their ear?
