  This post has nothing to do with the sound card, but with the network card.

  Problem is that your laptop can not find boot device. In the BIOS you can set boot priority settings and devices are together should be defined as device of first, second and so on bootable.

• delete the file ".rnd" in dirctory root and couldn't restart vista 64

  I suspect a ".rnd" c:\ as a potential thread Windows and delete it. next time you start windows cannot start up. the file is still in the trash, but I don't know how to get it back.
