• iMac G3 Rev a faulty Ram?

  Hello, I have a G3 Rev A iMac that will refuse to start when the ram is improved.

  The specifications are:
  G3 233 Mhz
  Hard drive 32 GB with OS X 10.3
  96 MB of Ram (1 32MB and 1 64MB)

  The machine will start and run fine but when I replace the 64MB stick with a 256 MB stick and try to start, it will just play the chime start and do nothing. The screen never kicks on and it won't start. If I put the old 64 MB stick in it will start normally.

  I don't know if the ram of 256 MB stick is incompatible or defective. The 256 MB stick is shown below.

  I have a question:

  Not too long ago I put the Bios Update on A Rev 3.87 was considered to be as critical an update on my workstation Z420 (running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit), and lately I've found that the CPU idling at about 20 degrees more hot than before.  I used to hear creaking noises coming from the computer I learned normally come circuits on the motherboard power delivery, but as long as I heard those CPU would be on average around 50 degrees C at idle.  I hear these noises and now the CPU is on average around 70-75 degrees C at idle.  Not sure what the connection is.  HP performance Advisor tells me I'm in the normal range, but I want to just make sure that with programs like Autodesk Maya there, she become too hot and stop the machine.   I don't know what the temp high-end is considered maximum security.  This change could have due to the update of the Bios?

  Thank you for your response and suggestions.  I check in my BIOS power management settings has been developed the extended mode, but the temperature has always hovered around 70-78 degrees at idle.  I checked Intel spec for this (E5 - 1650 6-core xeon) processor, clocked at 3.2 Ghz by heart, and although he said nothing on the TMax, he mentioned that the TCase (which he defined as the maximum temperature allowed integrated processor heat sink (IHS)) was 64 degrees Celsius.  Now my temperature of the case, according to my HP Performance Advisor version 1.7.7517.0 is only about 24 degrees C, but I put my fan a little higher CPU, about 2009 rpm speed.  This makes a little more noise, but my CPU temp has dropped to about 49 °.  "" Before the change of the fan speed has been slightly more than 1300 RPM while the Advisor I have always said that it is in the range "normal".  Is it good to get the speed of the CPU fan like that or do I have to go a little lower?

  Hi I'm refurberishing a hp pavilion 6150nl desktop for one of my dear friends. The machine is running with a 5.07 bios and I see some errors in this version of the bios. Wrong order of the four ports of sata for example. The hp site says that there is a 6.09 and an update to 6.07 to Ipiel-la3 motheboard and gifts downloads sp46434 (version 6.07) and sp56794 (6.09) After launching the two files update Finally, they block the actual process saying incorrect bios your system (253). I hope that any body knows the right solution for this and thanks for responding!

  Here's the original specifications for the desktop HP Pavilion p6150nl. There are several revisions / version of the card mother IPIEL-A3 (Eureka3). Please use update BIOS provided in the Windows Vista 64-bit section of the HP Pavilion p6150nl Desktop PC Drivers & Downloads page. This update looks like it's actually a downgrade from v5.07 to v5.05 and you can not install.

  You cannot use a BIOS v6.xx on a computer that has a v5.xxx BIOS. The BIOS are not the same and are designed for different motherboards which are different versions or revisions.

  MY Z820 workstation is equipped with an Intel 520 240 GB SSD as boot drive, on the integrated LSI SAS 2308 controller. It is a GPT disk.

  I just tried to update my BIOS Rev 02.08 Z820. at 02.55 a. rev.

  The update succeeded, and in the BIOS, I check that all the settings are the same as before the update. On the boot, however, I get an error saying "Non system disk or disk error."

  Mass strorage option ROM is set to EFI mode.

  No matter what the settings, it does not start in Windows.

  I started 02.08 BIOS Rev A and now all is well again.

  Is there a compatibility issue with the BIOS 02.55 Rev A combo, Intel SSD 520 and LSI SAS 2308?

  The Z820 motherboard was faulty. A HP technician swapped the moherboard with a new one and now all is well again!

  The storage controller was indeed defective.

  Well the other day I had a Web page to the top on my screen. I have to turn around and get back on my screen and the laptop looks like it is off. I tried everything and finally took it to a store because she seems to be the motherboard or the CPU, because there is no lights except when the battery charge indicator is and the adapter connects. So the store tells me that my assuptions looks good, it turns out that my motherboard is shot. Is this a known problem with these laptops?   I am currently trying to catch once a rev signal in the form of a square wave of 5 v, using an acquisition of data USB-6341. I have it configured as an analog voltage currently and am able to look at the level of voltage coming out. My first attempt was to take the output voltage and compared to a threshold and trigger an event from that, but I could never catch a value on the threshold. How can I trigger on a rising edge for this type of signal?

  So, essentially, you want to trigger the camera to capture a picture whenever the time by rev signal is considered only if another condition (such as data acquisition channel exceeds the threshold) is also true at this time?

  The inconsistency, you are referring is almost certainly caused by jitter of the synchronization of the acquisition software.  You will get a lot more deterministic performance using a periodic trigger of material for the camera, then throw the images you don't need.  The only real downside to this is that time CPU extra absorbent false images, which should be minimal.  If you want a pure solution of HW, perhaps use an external Boolean AND door to ensure the time by rev signal only go through if another signal (defined by the DAQ card whenever the other condition) is high.

  In addition to the fact that it is rev E2 of the card AT - GIB, I'm not sure what you want to know. If the card was the PNP or TNT version, it would be declared on the card itself. On other words, it looks AT-GPIB/TNT. The /TNT and the /TNT (Plug-and-Play) were replacements for the older AT-GPIB. Check here for versios of driver that are compatible with the different cards.

  You cannot change the boot drive letter.

  Disconnect external devices, if you have several hard drives, disconnect the pwr to these leaving only the single HD (you may need to check the manual of your motherboard if the victory drive must be connected to a specific motherboard port.

  To start from scratch, you start from the MS/cd win dvd, early in the process you will be presented with a list of drives (partitions) available for installation, clear all, and then continue with the installation by using the maximum space available.
