Revision A00 A01 U3415W vs?

What the changes between revision A00 and A01?

Is there a firmware upgrade A00 models because they are supposed to be user capable firmware update?

Firmware data is no longer can be released by us. I've done in the past and received a reprimand. If the poster team decides to release the firmware, it will appear on the library files U3415W. It would be the only place that could discuss the changes.

  • S2716DG revision A00/A01/A02, an Xbox, HDMI does not

    Hello

I bought the S2716DG Dell Sunday and it was delivered yesterday. Once in place, I noticed that there is no HDMI response. The monitor detects that there is a HDMI in there that I can change the Miniport HDMI input and vice versa, but when HDMI is selected it is just a black screen. I run my PC in the monitor using miniport and my XboxOne using HDMI, the XboxOne does she not get a picture.

I plugged the XboxOne on other monitors and it works very well, is not the cable from HDMI or the XboxOne. I also tried various fixes, including an updated driver, hard reset, self test monitor and built in diagnosis and everything seems fine.

Can someone please advise? I am based in the United Kingdom, and I bought through a major retailer. I know it's a huge problem that I have seen many, many discussions around the internet, but have not seen a real problem at the moment. I have an old revision of this monitor who is known to have this problem?

    Kind regards.

Hi, thought I should update this.

So I took contact with Dell and their technical support. They have confirmed that it is a known problem with the revisions A00 and A01.

I sent my rear monitor and had sent a new revision A03 and the HDMI port works perfectly.

  • U2515H, intermittent capacitive buttons?

I'm a new generation of computer that I am interested in the U2515H monitor, as the reviews I read rave about this monitor and its performance. However on a large number of reviews that rave about this monitor also highlight some issues in what concerns the capacitive buttons being irrelevant or intermittent sometimes. As one critic said "switches are flaky. I was wondering if anyone who has this monitor has experienced the problem with buttons and if Dell has addressed the issue on this model in particular? Any information would be appreciated.

I saw three revisions, A00, A01 and A02. But Dell engineering does not release for us, what they fixed in these revisions. Purchase of new directly from Dell ensures you get the most recent revision. Purchase of someone else taking a chance. On my S2740L, the capacitive keys are sensitive. You should not rush to them and press hard or will not respond. Also not to hit the Center does deprive them answer. Go slowly and touch of light in the Center and they still work.

    asanal,

New stock of sale should be to A03.

Used stock output from Dell could be any revision, (A00, A01, A02, A03). There is no way to know when you place your order to Dell making.

I can't speak to what changes a non Dell seller can do.

  • Revisions and ghosting reverse U2413

    Hello

I just new Dell U2413 monitor, and I can confirm the same problems already reported on few places here (1, 2). He has also very strong backlight bleed yellow at the bottom right (here). But I want to focus on reverse ghosting and other visible objects on any images in fast motion, like text scrolling! This is revision A00, manufactured in November 2012. I want to get a clear answer from Dell if it is of the most recent revisions (who?) has attempted to address this issue, as some users speculated? If this isn't the case, I'll have to search elsewhere for good monitor and suggest others to do this. See the image attached video uncompressed. Video was recorded at the brightness level of 29% in mode with Smart sRGB enhance the video. Thanx.

USB 3.0 questions and corrected A02 the ghost because the too much reverse overdrive response time compensation. We've received word that the plant does not change the label. They set them on their end, but it is too expensive to generate the new labels. Thus new A02 and all used exchanged A00 or A01 should be fixed. Of course, none of the dealers will have these fixed screens.

I bought this monitor just yesterday and DisplayPort connection does not work. It's my second A03 U2414H so I am well aware of the DisplayPort problems on this particular model and I guess I was unlucky and got a bad.

-Swapped the cable supplied CDM between my two monitors, my old A03 U2414H bought the A03 newly purchased U2414H and back of the March. More U2414H works perfectly with the two cables, different on my Cardinal graphics output ports

-Tried to start my computer with only the defective U2414H connected via CDM until the first DP port on my graphics card, no signal passes through. Tried different ports without result. Reconnected the plu U2414H work on the same cables and works perfectly.

-STD I tried my disabled U2414H (DP 1.2) work that does not work either

    -HDMI works perfectly

-Settings are taken up on my screen work and defective. Monitor work work w / and w/o Displayport 1.2 active.

    > Concluded that the GPU works as usual, follow the work except for the connectivity of the RFP.

So I'll be polite and simple about it; is it possible to get a replacement? Not one retailer will replace another working monitor that only has a splintered DP controller. I had a 11 defective Inspiron which had a broken Ribbon touchpad since purchase and my local Dell for assistance has been kind enough to have that fixed on-site next day, can so I ask what are my options for this faulty monitor? I don't want to continue to use this HDMI monitor since it is not my intention, thanks!

You can get it exchanged. The instructions are at the top of the page monitor FAQ, "monitor warranty and replacement instructions.

  • U2414H - problem with DP and DVI dual monitor

We recently bought 10 monitors x U2414H with 5 machines Dell Precision T1700 each with a Nvidia Quadro K620 x 2 GB graphics card (1 x output DP) and 1 x output DVI.

When advised on these machines, we were also told to the DVI work with our monitor, we would need special cable conversion so learned the order of 5 x DisplayPort (male) to DVI - D (male) cable. At the time to take delivery of our new machines, it became that there was a problem with the configuration that we had been sold. When you connect the first monitor to the billboards on the graphics card, it works fine. However, the problem is when you plug the 2nd monitor, nothing is displayed when it is connected to the graphics card DVI port.

We also called Dell technical support and our account manager to try to solve the problem and they suggested using a HDMI DVI-cables rather than the DVI cable to DP that we sold would not work because of the output frequency. After receiving the 5 x new DVI-cables HDMI question still exists and is no different from before. To remove the graphics card or DVI output being at fault we connected to another single monitor using a DVI to DVI cable and it worked.

Reading through some of the similar positions, it seems that the monitor that we have been delivered is not the good revision number. I've seen a forum member Dell advises that the revision number should be REV A03 while we have been delivered REV A01.

Any advice on what we should do to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated.

    * Brief description of the problem monitor?

This monitor was purchased directly from Dell and has been used for a while (~ 6 months) before being stored and then moved to a new location.  When I tried to implement the system at the new location, the monitor did not turn on.  When I plug the power adapter in the power outlet, the green light turns on, but when I plug the power connector in the light on the AC adapter monitor turns off.  The monitor will power any.  I tried a second adapter and also used 3 different cords from wall to adapter that I had, but the behavior is the same - so quite clear the monitor is the question.

Are there common issues that would cause the screen itself to short-circuit the power input like that?  I'm debating taking the back cover of the monitor to see if the connection plate where the monitor connections might have moved and is causing the problem?  Any other suggestions?

    Thank you very much.

Manufactured 01/04/13. Is still under warranty through 04/01/16. Enter the service tag number here to check the status of the guarantee. Right, green adaptor LED must remain lit when plugged into the monitor. Remove the rear panel would void any remaining warranty. I would simply get the Exchange monitor if the warranty is still good.

I have a Dell Latitude E6430 with Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit with SP1 docked to a Dell docking station. I have two Dell S2340Mc IPS monitors - both are at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 as recommended by Windows. The problem started this morning.

The monitor is 10 months old and has developed a reddish hue with lines travelling to the top of the screen makes it difficult to see anything. I tried using another cable DVI, a different port on the docking station, as well as VGA cable. I also updated the drivers and put my other Dell Monitor (identical) to be the main monitor-no difference. My other Dell Monitor (identical) is very well...

  • E5470 USB Bus controllers

    Hi all

I have problems with the driver for the USB controller from the cab files to my laptop E5470. I tried all (A00, A01, A02, A03) versions of cabs with the result that it blue screens after that the image is deleted. When I exclude the MTD driver and try to install different versions, OS blue screens again. The blue screen error code is listed as iusb3xhc.sys.

I would be grateful to any direction to solve this issue.

You try to install WIndows 7, or for a more current OS?

If it's to install Windows 7, go account that Intel and Microsoft removed support USB 2.0 chipset and MIcrosoft doesn't have (and will not) add the ability to make a boot USB 3.0 to Windows 7 - effectively, Skylake is an opening act in the scene of death for Windows 7 (falling to the arrival of the Lake set will be the end of the 7 because this chip/chipset will not allow something more than 10 Windows must be installed).

ASUS has a very good tutorial on how to work around the problem of support of Skylake-Windows 7 here:

    Dear team,

Since I bought the UZ2315H monitor that I have not found a simple way to make the headphone jack works. Specifically, the headphone jack does not sound to any helmet or meets any microphone a headset/microphone combination, I tried.

The rest of the screen works perfectly in all combinations - camera, speakers and microphone - in HDMI and USB 3 connection. When I insert a headphone jack, that nothing is happening, just monitor continues to put sound on the speakers and meets the microphone monitor only. • U2415, Nvidia, lines distorted using DP/CDM, use Nvidia 344.11 or beta 344.80

    Hello.
    I just got a new U2415 (manufacturing date August 2014, revision A00).

Everything was fine with the monitor until I turned it off when I'm out.
When I turned on the screen back again the text was very distorted with lines on the screen. While in this state the screen every few seconds (can be 1 second or could be 10 seconds).

Restart the PC has the monitor works again until you turn it off and the same problem occurs. It is 100% reproducible.

The system that this is the case is a i7-860 with MSI P55-GD85, 16 GB of RAM and EVGA GTX750Ti.

This problem occurs with the RFP provided the MDP cable (DP on GPU, CDM on the monitor). I also tested with a DP to DP cable with a P2314H, I got and it also has the same problem.

The problem does NOT occur with HDMI or does it occur when place the monitor in DP1.2 However, when you use DP1.2 there is no display when turn the PC until it reaches windows so this isn't a solution, but a work around as it is kinda useless if you need to access the BIOS.
Also, the problem does NOT DP1.1 mode in the BIOS. The monitor can be turned and the end BIOS, this problem occurs only once windows loaded (I do not know if it occurs while windows is actually loading due to the wonders of SSD :))

I also tested the monitor on a second PC running an Intel DH77DF (H77 mini ITX board) with 8 GB of RAM and an i5 - 3470S using the on-board Intel HD2500 GPU. The problem does NOT occur on this UEFI/BIOS, Windows or Linux/Fedora 21 KDE system.

The used version of windows is Windows 7 Home Premium mini ITX/Intel GPU system and Windows 7 Ultimate on PC/nvidia GPU system.

Just for further testing, the failure occurs with DDC/CI enabled in mode standard and fast is enabled.

I also tested with the installed Dell Monitor driver and without, even twice.

I guess it sounds like the monitor and compatibility with nvidia hardware and/or drivers?

Is there a way to work around this problem, other than its use HDMI or DP 1.2?

    Thank you

    * edit *.
I also tested it in SafeMode on the machine of nvidia, where the problem does not occur with a direct start 21/KDE Fedora disc which was also good.
Even when you change the monitor in mode 5:4. Oddly enough, change the resolution in windows to something like 1600 x 1200 is not to reproduce the problem to set the monitor off, but do resolutions 16:10. (though in 1600 x 1200 sometimes distort the display but market still solve that).

    Hello

I have exactly the same problem!  You never solved the problem?  Thank you

I have actually met a challenge!
It is indeed with drivers nvidia, somehow along the way to annoy I uninstalled all of the nvidia drivers and installed the latest Windows update which were 340.92... and all this has worked well.

Then I updated the driver quite up-to-date, which was 344.11... who also worked.
Upgrade to 344.75 brought the issue to haunt me again while I was using 344.11 until after hours of Googling around, I found...

    This useful link

Beta drivers for 344.80 that lists the patches...

This is a beta driver that addresses the following questions:

    • GeForce GTX 980 poster texture shimmering when on high quality Texture filtering quality.
    • GPU output blurred lines on DisplayPort after a period of time following updated driver.
    • System hang up and black screen after work with some monitors (DP1.2 & 4 K / 60 Hz) + GTX980

Of course, that solved the problem.
If someone Dell reads this post, I saw a few other threads with people complaining of the same issue. Could you recommend people update for, at a minimum, this version of the driver? People are going to be blame Dell for the question when this is not the case. Thanks :)
(Now the only problem with my screen is slightly dark on the bottom but good)
