• Dell U2414h menu gone? Keys no longer work?

  My Dell U2414h monitor is connected to the end 2012(El Capitan) Apple Mac Mini HDMI. After 1:30, I can't go back in the Menu of the Dell printer. It seems as if the touch buttons no longer work. It seems that if the menu is somehow locked.

  The only thing dat will work is cut off from the power supply. After that work very good tactile buttons, but after a while or when I closed the Mac Mini, I can't go back in the menu. The Dell monitor is now also waiting because I cannot 'touch' the power button.

  Someone know what I did wrong or is something wrong with the Dell U2414h or is it something in the Apple Mac Mini?

  I asked the same question in the Forum and they said that it might have something to do with my Apple Mac Mini.

  During the Forum, they gave me a solution that does not work for me:

  Reset the U2414H and re - test
  * Turn on the computer and monitor off
  * Disconnect all cables from the screen, including the power cable
  * Press the power monitor in 30 seconds button
  * Plug the monitor cables for the monitor and the video card of the computer. There should be only one cable video connection from the monitor to the video card
  * Turn on the monitor, then the computer

  I think it is likely yo have a problem with the monitor. The video and does not interact with the onscreen menu/controls.

• MacBook Air 2015 & Dell U2414H cause the wake kernel panic

  I'm new to a Mac. I just bought a MacBook Air (2015) that I use mainly using an external monitor (Dell U2414H) using mini Displayport. It runs on El Capitan. I have also a Magic Keyboard (latest model) and the Trackpad (first generation).

  I got a kernel panic issue only when I am connected to the external minitor. When you use my MBA in itself, this never happens. I copied and pasted the below incident information. Could someone tell me what can be the problem cauisng? I don't know if the single Dell monitor is the problem. The tricky part is that the kernel panic does not occur every time that the MBA wakes up from his sleep. It happens unexpectedly. I put the computer to sleep using the command + Option + power (keyboard shortcut). Then, I hit a button to wake up without a problem. But sometimes, it crashes. Thank you for your help in advance.

• Rear USB port of U2414H not function

  Hi all

  I use U2414h Dell monitor connected with my surface pro 3 with the mini display cable and usb cable upstream to serve a second monitor and usb hubs, and I always connected a laptop hard drive to the USB rear powered high at the back of the screen because I do not have any other usb port on my pro3 surface...

  Today, I found my drive hard laptop display message connected and disconnected all the time and so I try to disconnect the hard drive and reconnect to see if the problem can fix it. But when I plugged the portable hard drive at the back usb port, even once it does not turn on. I tried to plug the portable hard drive directly to my surface 3 pro, it works and readable.

  Then I tried a series of troubleshooting:

  -Turn off the device and reconnect all the cables thew

  -by using another usb cable to connect the laptop hard drive

  -using a different cable upstream between surface pro 3 and U2414H

  -Connect a low device (memory stick) to the rear usb port

  -using a different computer

  It seems the USB back have no power and cannot be used, since I'm on soundbar AC511 connected to the usb port of U2414h base, I'm sure that all three ports are still works.

  Is someone can help?

• U2414H, blackout

  U2414H switch on at the wall socket. Quick Flash of the windows that open, then a black screen. Switch and on again with ok and switch monitor. Works well since purchase 02/29/16. I saw on the forum for similar comments, but no cure?

  Have you tried both of the two HDMI ports, but some drivers may be installed. The U2414H went to all time energy saving mode.

  Problem has been resolved. Thank you. The reason is that the 10 Windows updated the graphics driver automatically with an incorrect version.

  I m ussing U2414H monitor (over HDMI) and currently got the SoundBuffer for she.
  I understend that connectign the Soundbar in the monitor does no point but it is possible to
  link to the monitor to the PC USB hub and then connect media devisess (bar sound, usb, headphone, usb, mouse etc.) directly on the screen?

  And in case where possible which cable / slot I use to bridge the gap.

  Yes possible to connect the hub on the screen but you then attach a standard USB cable to the Hub on the monitor at the back of the PC.  Its the same B cable that is used for printer A/USB cable etc.  You must make sure that windows is set to sound on USB Audio not the analog channel output.

• U2414H, grainy and flickers

  Hello

  I connect to my laptop to a Dell U2414H monitor through docking station and the monitor suddenly got too grainy and started to blink. I downloaded a video of him on youtube.

  Some further clarification

  1. the problem exists with all laptops I tried to connect (these laptops used to work properly in the past)

  2 the laptop screen is very well and so I don't think that this should be a graphics card problem

  3. I tried to do a factory reset for the monitor - no improvement

  4. I did a self test - I am able to see these grains and glitters even during the self-test. (not connected to any laptop / no cable connected to the monitor)

  5. I did a diagnostic integrated - I followed the instructions in the user manual. I could see everything the user manual said I would see (red, blue, etc., filters, then the screen with the text). But all of the screens were grainy and twinkle, as mentioned in the previous steps.

  6. I tried hang on to the top of the screen, with different energy sources

  7. I've tried different types of input sources.

  None of the above had no effect on the grainy screen.

  Can you please let me know if I'm missing something, and if there is a known workaround for this problem?

  I noticed a yellow tint in the Dell UltraSharp U2414H monitor, I tried all settings modes preset in the display panel, but none of them solve the problem. No need for photo editing. Is there anything else I should try before I returned the monitor? Thank you.

  Inside of 30 days, you can return the monitor to return. It is technically inside our manufacturer for color specifications. If we could not exchange it. If outside of 30 days, you should consider the purchase of equipment for calibration with software. Dell uses the X-Rite i1 Display Pro colorimeter.

• U2414H backlight bleed

  My new U2414H I have a mass purge of backlight. The previous was already exchanged cause there was also a mass purge of backlight. Right now I don't know what do more. Here are pictures of the monitor. When I play games or watch a movie, the light is quite visible on dark images and it bothers my eyes.

  I would say it is out of our specifications from manufacturer of uniformity of the backlight. But, understand, we do not have a 100% guarantee of same backlight uniformity. The sides and the corners will be different from that of the centre. All you can do is keep doing exchanges.

• U2414H - there is no signal from your computer

• U2414H cannot connect to Sony Vaio

  I can't connect my U2414H to my Vaio laptop. I couldn't use the DP cable supplied by Dell, because my Vaio has no compatible port. I bought a HDMI cable that fits into the laptop and the entrance is connected to the mini DP port of the monitor but does not connect monitor. The input of the monitor is set mini DP.

  I tried all the options display on the Vaio - extend, duplicate, second screen only, but nothing works.

  Help, please. Support Dell has not been of any use.

  A computer HDMI output port cannot convert to a DP/CDM Monitor in port via a straight through cable. What you have purchased is designed to do the opposite.

• Unacceptable backlight bleed with Dell U2414H - credit refused to Dell or upgrade

  5 days ago bought 2 monitors a U2414H Dell and DELL UP2516D in Hong Kong.

  The Dell U2414H a lot of backlight bleeding, the worst thing is the ugly yellow glow really distinct on the upper left, visible even in office lighting. The backlight bleeding was acceptable limit if this not that hideous yellow glow in the corner of a whole new monitor.

  The DELL UP2516D, I have not had any problems with it at all.

  Dell sent support some pictures and asked for credit/upgrade to the DELL UP2516D, but was denied a response:

  "We verify that this is a normal matter. Because it's the technique of back-lighting, all the monitor will be this phenomenon. It is not hardware issue, so we can't support you for the UP2516D upgrade or the refund. »

  

  I had a lot of monitor in my life, it's not normal or acceptable.

  It's the Forum USA, so you will need to re - contact Customer Support for your country. That U2414H does not meet our specifications from manufacturer of uniformity of the backlight. They do not follow the Dell return policy. Inside of 30 days of the invoice date, you can get a refund for ANY reason any. Don't like us for like exchanges, so that they are correct in saying you can't return the U2414H and get the UP2516D.

  Hello

  I have an Inspiron 13 7374 and a U2414H monitor. I thought it would be a simple connection system, but it does not include a HDMI cable. I'm not sure what the SS cable and do not have a DP/miniDP port on my laptop.

  I also do not have a hard drive on my Inspiron so impossible to install the drivers and documentation. Is there a file I can download it via dell.com that will have the same data?

  Really appreciate any assistance.

  You don't need the CD. Hereare all the manuals and drivers for the monitor.

  Hi all

  I hope that I have included all relevant information in the present, but ask if I missed something. I bought two of the screens U2414H and a Windows 10 laptop computer powered by GTX 960 M with HDMI and Mini DP ports. My goal was to be able to the Garland of the whole U2414H screens so I could use my laptop out and about, and when connection back to the monitors of would have to plug in a cable and get two screens. In theory, but...

  I followed the instructions and using two Mini-DP to DP cables, connected the mini laptop RFP RFP on the first screen. DP on this same screen highlights Mini DP on the second monitor. I activated the DisplayPort 1.2 on both of these screens. I can't get any signal on the second monitor, it boils down to the power saving mode.

  Otherwise, I decided I would try using two cables and ditch the idea of DP STD I can at least use the two screens. So I have laptop HDMI to a screen and the MiniDP to another, and therefore, that alone will never work at a time. Individually, they work very well, both with HDMI or DP. But the two connection fails every time. When I tried to connect a display of alternative supporting HDMI as the second, which works very well.

  So I had an autour reading and it seems that it is common to have problems of connectivity to these screens. This brings me well on my two questions:

  (1) is there something that would work?

  (2) assuming that there is nothing that works, Dell can swap these screens for two that will achieve what I need?

  In MST, DP 1.2 should be turned off (disabled) on the second monitor.

  When you use only no STDS, is the lid of the laptop open all trying to run two monitors of U2414H? This laptop can even run three screens, laptop LCD + 1 # U2414H + 2 # U2414H?
