  Well, here's my first question. Just signed up for beta and not really still digging but I was wondering. What is the problem with the content viewer application. It will go away? I have a selection of DPS mags that I created for my last magazine that 'closed shop '. I lose access to the journals (Fly & Light Tackle Angler) I stroke? Half of my problems have been lost in my application in the official version, which has been in the App store ater, they shot on the app. Can't retrieve them. I was wondering if I'll lose my entire collection.

  You can migrate folios that exist in Folio Producer on a solution of digital publication. It is a migration on the portal tool to do this. If the folio is a folio local (i.e. not saved in Folio Producer) then you will need to push them to the producer Folio and migrate, or export InDesign documents as files .article and download directly into the new dashboard.

  I used the setup of "Custom tabbed view" in the Configurator DPS to create a custom showcase. I've been customize files still manually and I'm looking for some suggestions on creating manual links in the html code to the different elements within the app - more precisely:

  1. What method should be used to create a link to the image of the banner to target one of the tabs? or to target one of the tabs AND start a folio download this tab?
     
     
  2. I already was able to target download a folio of an image banner directly, using the method of "com.xxxx .yyy://v1/folio/article". What method could be used to open rather the superposition of the folio preview (for example in the image below)?

  The task manager has two different views. For the display that includes menus and tabs, double-click the border of the Task Manager window. To return to the view without menus and tabs, double-click anywhere in the border around the tabs.

  I can connect to my first machine winXP with rdp, but the customer view told me that there is a connection error (error http, status = 400). In the "server connection", I used my ESX host's IP address.

  Sorry, just to clarify, the connection to the server is a Windows Server (may be virtual) who has the login server software installed. It's in its web interface that you configure all the settings for your desktops, your pools of desktop computers and users or groups have the right to use them. Although view uses rdp to connect protocol client to view isn't just a remote desktop client.

  You also need the view-agent installed in the virtual desktop machine, you want to connect.

  Once you point the client to connect to the server, it displays all the virtual desktop that took the user with that right you authenticated. The administrator is not automatically or the right to use any desktop PC, you must manually set the rights.

• Applications of single-issue DPS with iOS8 - any problems?

  My application iPad (published) seems to have problems with iOS8. I just upgraded to os iOS8 GM and my application has serious questions, quickly crashing after moving between articles. I saw the notice on several issues apps, but this is an application only one question. There is HTML in the app, built in tumult Hype, but also scrolling images, videos and ads the zoomable maps, but I think that HTML ads are causing problems. If anyone is curious to try it, here's the app (free):

  I'll update the Viewer to the latest version of tomorrow to try to solve this problem, but until I do, are there known issues with Web content view? Most of the accidents seems to be after an ad trying to animate, which seems to point to a leak memory in reading HTML engine - but it could be another issue. Has anyone else had problems with their applications in one question?

  Its a bug in the code of the plugin and not related to the APEX.

  Lately, I'm getting this system error a lot now that I've upgraded to Windows 8 Pro is an event DistributedCom 10016 ID. Here is the text of the error:

  Same thing here. Grayed. Windows 8.1 seems to fill the observer of events with many more errors than previous versions.

  Edit: OK, discovered why it is grayed out. There are 2 reg key, you must set permissions before going to the Configuration of DCOM in component services. The CLSID key and the APPID key.

  From another forum, although it applies to a different application, same principle:

  1. open Regedit.
  2. go in HKEY_Classes_Root\CLSID\ * CLSID *.
  Note: * CLSID * stand for the ID that appears in your event viewer error. In your case, it is {C2F03A33-21F5-47FA-B4BB-156362A2F239}.
  3. right-click on it and select authorization.
  4. click on Advance and change owner to administrator. Also click on the box that will appear below the threshold of owner.
  5. apply a full control.
  6. close the tab, then go to HKEY_LocalMachine\Software\Classes\AppID\ * APPID *.
  Note: * AppID * is the ID that appears in your event viewer. In your case, it is {316CDED5-E4AE-4B15-9113-7055D84DCC97}.
  7 right-click on it and select authorization.
  8. click on Advance and change the owner to administrators.
  9. click on the box that will appear below the line owner.
  10. click on apply and grant full control to the administrators.
  11. close all tabs and navigate to the administration tool.
  12. open component services.
  13. click on the computer, click my computer, and then click DCOM.
  14 find the corresponding service that appears on the display of the error.
  15. right-click on it, and then click Properties.
  16. click the Security tab, and then click Add a user. Add the SYSTEM and then apply.
  17. check enable local.

  Then use the relevant keys here and the DCOM Config utility should give you access greyed onareas:

  I m trying to use the Configurator of DPS tool:

  Because the large number of folios in my application, I m trying to use a custom tabbed window.

  Custom tabs looks like a great solution, but the configurator that it asks me for the "folio filter values.

  My question is how can I set a filter of folio. How can I create a filter?

  Where can I find this option? I coundn't find in the producer of folio.

  This error comes from the DPS store Configurator, not App Builder. This is correct: on the first page of the Configurator put you in an account that is not no matter what folios with the filters applied. Make sure that you have added not only filters in Folio Producer but that you also updated folios so that they are republished with the filters applied.

  I confirmed that the store Configurator works correctly by trying it with two of my test accounts. We have folios with filters applied in Folio Producer and it worked correctly. The other didn't folios with filters and I got the error you did.

• DPS WITH CS6?

  I am part of a small team of 4 designers currently researching what the costs are to get the company to speed on digital publishing suite.

  We are all on the CS6.

  We make the compositions of style magazine/catalog for printing. We have about 10 customers who have about 8 questions each of their particular catalog printed each year. We offer a digital version of these catalogues.

  The plan was a designer to subscribe to professional DPS and test the water to produce 10 multi folio apps for 10 customers we have. Then just create us subsequent folios (June August etc.) and continue to add to the App.

  The questions are as follows:

  1. I understand that Adobe changed the rules then we would have now to buy a license of professional DPS by customer for each folio multi application - is that correct?

  2. can we continue to use the CS6 and subscribe only to the DPS? We really want to avoid a rolling CC cost as well as DPS for the moment if possible.

  3. is it possible to create a folio multi app but just have a folio in it and never add other slips to it? I understand that only folio apps are not supported on Android - is this correct? So this would be a work around I presume?

  4 how much professional and business levels? We certainly need more than simple edition DPS (free with CC - but we don't want upgrade to CC yet). I can't find an official page indicating the figures on how much it all costs!

  license. For 10 apps you would seek $4,000 / month with no company

  features.

  2. you can at the moment but keep in mind that with the upcoming release of DPS

  support for CS5 and 5.5 has been ignored and some CS6 point will not work

  with a new o/s. CC also gives you additional applications such as Edge

  An animation that work with DPS.

  We used the Oracle Dynamic tab Shell templates to build our page of dashboard with several dynamic tabs.
  A year back when we have initially created the main dashboard with Dynamic tab Shell and used of the UIShell API to open new dynamic tab when clicking the command links in the browser side of left hand. We started with Jdev 11.1.1.3 and upgrade us until Jdev 11.1.1.5.
  
  Now this last requirement is, we need to test our applications in the Safari browser in iPAD (2.0). During the test, we observed under questions.
  
  (1) the page with Dynamic tab Shell JSPX is keep showing "Loading"... "We had updated the Safari browser twice to render the page.
  (2) any af:commandLink under the JSPX which has shell model dynamic tab, does not. We have lots of links on the left navigation and when clicking on each link will open a new tab dynamic (we use UIShell API). Nothing happens when clicking on these af:commandLinks.
  (3) we have 'Home' and 'Logout' links at the top right. Nothing happens on the links click too.
  
  All these as af:commandLinks and af:commandButtons not working as expected when we have them beside a JSPX page without shell dynamic tab.
  
  Tested and observed the same behavior both in version 1.0 and newer iPad iPAD 2.0.
  We desperately need help on thin. Pls let us know, if I need to provide more details. Are there specific configurations required to make it work in Jdev 11.1.1.5? At this stage we cannot improve our Env 11.1.1.6 or 11.1.2 as we already have these applications in Production and we should give users flexibility to be used in the iPAD.

  I understand, however support for iPad added in PS5 is a set of new features, not a bug fix, so this cannot be claimed as a one off patch with the support of the Oracle. In this case that is expected to capture customers highlights new features of upgrade.

  Lol you must create a custom for this viewer application. DPS Enterprise Edition allows you to create a very custom Viewer.
