  Question:

  Fixes IE11 and Chrome on the Adobe web site ask you to put their new files in RoboHTML templates_stock folder. However, I need these fixes for RoboHelp for Word. Is there a such difficulty?

  I use 10 RoboHelp for Word, generating WebHelp.

  I try to solve the problems about the table of contents, Index, and search appears not not or not being not completely functional IE11 or Chrome, not including many of our customers use. I found a couple of workarounds that my boss doesn't like.

  • In IE11, if the end user adds the web site to the compatibility view list, they all appear and function correctly, but my boss is adamant about not wanting the end user having to do anything to solve the problem.
  • In Chrome, I can get a table of contents and a non-functional search to appear if the user turns off JavaScript for the site, but this solution also violates the lists see also in help. Again, made my boss wants to not that the end user to have to do.

  His solution is just to generate using pure HTML, but then the search won't work in IE11 or Chrome (I'm not sure about Firefox). I are based largely on the research, when I'm working on the product, so I really don't want to lose the search function.

  Help, please.

  As I said in my reply to your message in the RoboHelp for Word forum, there is no patch for this.

  I can understand your not wanting to Manager end users will do anything and agree with him. However, the fixes for these issues in HTML HR are simply not available in RoboHelp for Word.

  IM install Premiere Pro 2.0 educational Version on my new laptop (I work at the school) and it will not register the program.  Appellant tried the number and he said to come on this forum.  I bought this program nearly 10 years ago because I'm responsible for all the dvd for our benchmarks.  I have in my office and it works very well but does not work in my laptop.  I moved and put five or six videos in there but it does not recognize a dvd burner installed.  Is it because its not saved and must be registered before you can use the burner?  I tried to put this program in my laptop and it does not work there either.  Can you get it someone please let me know what to do.  It is an update of this program being 10 years old, or I buy a latest software?  Thank you

• New Firefox, will not save the homepage and will open and display all add-ons every time!

  Okay - years old now, I used Firefox ONLY - he had the best extensions and modules from any other browser out there. Add to that, it is safe and very fast. This is my default browser.

  This week I logged on my DeviantArt site and odd ads began to appear in the lower corners left and right of the browser, unlike what I'd never seen before. And of course, there was a kind of nasty bug in Firefox, causing all sorts of questions.

  So, following the suggestions to fix, as well as the suggestions on here, I uninstalled Firefox (21) and then reinstalled the new version, 23. At first, I thought, ' Wow, this is really very fast! When I opened Firefox it does not go to my home page, he went to the Firefox start page, as well as the opening of the tabs for EACH add-on and extension!

  Simple and something I've done before. I'm a geek and have worked on my own additions. Set up my home page, has been working in Firefox and went to youtube to download a video it would not! So went to DLhelper, read their comments, changed one of the strings and voila! No problems!

  So I thought it was fixed and I was happy. It was last night. This morning, I start the computer and the first thing we do is to open Firefox. And what happens? Oh, Yes, that's right, NOTHING THAT I wanted TO! It's back to the start page of Firefox, and it opens tabs for EACH SINGLE module!

  Holy carp, tired now. So I research of 8 this morning until about an hour ago, so a little more than 5 hours, that I keep trying to fix it based on instructions of Firefox. Go to topic: config, work on channels, change the info from the home page, etc. Save it. Return to tools, Options, and there is my home page. Close Firefox and open and what the heck? Once again, back to where it was, opening, as if I just downloaded this browser. Now, I spent literally HOURS trying to solve this problem and I am so frustrated that I'm almost ready to uninstall it! My one complaint is that I've looked everywhere to try to find this same problem and it does not. Is true, I am the only one having this weird problem?

• Dreamweaver does not save the password and FTP user

  Even if I check the option Save when you enter the FTP user id and password when I close dreamweaver cs4 and reopen it, I need to enter again. What preferences file controls this setting? It may be damaged or buggy. I had to reinstall Master Collection CS4 this week and that's when it started happening. Suggestions?

  I had the same problem for months after re-installing CS4 Master Collection on Mac and just upgraded to CS5 and find the same thing before you come across the idea to do a repair of Keychain. This alone does not work, but after I had deleted manually everything to do with Adobe Keychain - same Macromedia, which was always there - I am relieved to say that DW is now working properly once again and not delete remote remote login/password. Oh, what happiness! I never found out why people say DW ftp is rubbish or use other applications for ftp is less hassle. I use anarchy (and others) as an alternative or for when I don't want to even open DW. I hope you have luck, too

  With this new installation of PC, I always use Word 2003, which is the same version that I used previously. However, the operating system of the PC is now XP, while she was before Windows 2000.

  Peter and Brian, thank you VERY much! RoboHelp for Word works now.

  Peter, your advice to install RoboHelp after installing Word was key to resolve this issue.

  For a quick summary of the result - our Help Desk uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook, Word and RoboHelp. Then they have reinstalled Word and Outlook; to change a setting 'Advanced' in outlook; to get the word to stop giving me the error messages, they need to redo my user profile. Then after that I was convinced that Word and Outlook work properly, this afternoon I installed RoboHelp X 5 through my CD and then downloaded and installed these two tasks on Adobe.com:
  -rho_x501.exe (for updating HR Office Word 2003 support)
  -rho13_x502.exe (for the Microsoft XP Service Pack 2 updated X5.0.2). help

  I am so grateful that RoboHTML and RoboHelp for Word seem to work well! Thanks again!

  I just upgraded from APEX to APEX 3.1 3.0 and display text (does not save the State) which I had set to display more by adding style = "color: #658bb1;" font-size: 25; "the field of HTML table attributes for the element.
  
  Since the upgrade, that has been lacking in the font size of the body (12 PT) and I can't seem to be larger.
  
  I tried to use attribute selectors - span [class = display_only] {color: #658bb1; font-size: 25px;}, but this only works in Firefox.

• RoboHelp for Word vs for HTML

  I am currently evaluating RoboHelp 7 and wonder what may be the advantage of using the HTML editing on Word editing. We currently use x 5 RoboHelp for Word, but this does not necessarily mean that I have to stick with it.
  
  Part of me wants to stay with the Word because I'm familiar with it, and because I think I have to use its functionality of changes in track as a way to changes as well for the evaluation and translation purposes (i.e. identifying what has been changed).
  
  Part of me wants to pass in HTML format, but as I dabbled a little in this environment in the past and feel I'm missing out in Word. Also, (and I could be wrong here) but I think it is easier to identify the changes by comparing the HTML files as Word files in a perspective of source control.
  
  I wonder what others in this forum think. Why don't you use Word or HTML editing? And if you have changed from one to the other, what was your deciding factor in doing this?

  I use www.nzbindex.nl a lot - Out of the blue Firefox will not save the settings, but will Google Chrome. In my view, that the problem is a Java problem. Any advice would be appreciated.

  This can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies are blocked (check the permissions on the subject: permissions page).

  You can control and manage permissions for the domain in the tab currently selected through these steps:

  • Click on "Site Identity" (globe/lock) in the address bar
  • Click on 'More information' to open ' tools > Page Info "with the Security tab is selected
  • Go to the permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab

  Clear the cache and cookies only from Web sites that are causing problems.

  "Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/tools > Options > advanced > network > content caching Web: 'clear now '.

  'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

  It is not advisable to continue to use older versions of Firefox with disclosed security vulnerabilities.

  I see that you encounter some problems with the scanning of your Officejet 4620 e-all-in-one for your Windows 7 PC. I can help you with that.

  To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

  1. Uninstall all software associated with the printer to your computer.
  2. Restart your PC.
  3. Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

  The application from HP for your printer is not compatible with El Capitan, so the output files incorrectly recorded.

  In the Hewlett-Packard folder move HP Scan to the trash and empty it.
