Kind regards

Stanley.

Hi Stanley,

(1) remember you to make changes to the computer?

(2) did you run anti-virus such as suggested by Irfan H?
http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/vistaprograms/thread/5b396a1a-1371-4f4f-ABD0-fe61df0f7110

Method 1: Put the computer to boot and then check if the problem persists

Follow step 1 in the link below,
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

If everything works well after a clean boot, you can deduce that some third-party services are at the origin of the problem.

Continue with the remaining steps to pin-point on the third party service.

After find you the program that is causing the problem, you will have to perhaps to update or install a newer version of the program, if you rarely use that you should consider uninstalling the software.

Important: n ' forget not to put the computer to a normal startup follow step 7 in the link.

Thanks and greetings

I figured how to stop my warning high. I just got an answer and it reminded me that I now know why my computer was giving this prompt. This may help a bit there. So I decided to write.

In my case it was my 'Sigmatel Audio Control Panel.
I had disabled "allow reconfiguration pop ups".
This will make the warning "Run a legacy CPL high" lights up to chance that your system can access this audio program. Once I've rechecked. The warnings went away unless I open the control panel. But it's a normal warning according to the manufacturer of my computer.
Some of you may have something much more serious, but for the few who becomes confused by the latter and have this audio driver, this may help.

igfxext module has stopped working message is displayed at the start of Windows 7.  What is this and how can I fix?

    Hi Bob Bala.

Thanks for asking this question to Microsoft Community!

As I understand it you receive a startup message all to connect to the computer.

He would be grateful if you can answer these questions to help you further.

    1. have you made changes on the computer before this problem?
    2. What is the brand and model of your computer?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

You can try to check if the problem occurs in safe mode and check if it helps.

    Method 2:

If the problem does not exist in Mode without failure, then try to put your computer in a clean boot state.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

  • Multiprocessor Configuration does not support the installation of Windows 7 64-bit.

I'm going as a joint discussion on the multiprocessor Configuration not supported during the installation of Windows 7 64-bit. I have a HP with a motherboard HP xw6200 workstation. The Machine has dual Zeon 3.20 Ghz. the procesors are identical. There bus 800 MHZ front. It has 6 gigs of 400 MHZ DDR2 Ram. I've updated to the latest version of the bios a few months ago. It has worked very well in dual boot with the last pack of 64-bit XP and Vista 64-bit SP1 for a long time. I tried to upgrade using a clean 64-bit Windows 7 installation when I got the error Stop Multiprocessor_Configuration_Not_Supported: 0X0000003E. I tried to upgrade to Vista and XP with the same error message. I also installed a new unformatted disk and tried to install the operating system again through the CD and got the same error.

    Hi ITCoreTeam,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers community.

Test the material under test once, by contacting the manufacturer. The problem is caused due to hardware.
Cause: This situation can occur if the incorrect processor packages are used or if the BIOS incorrectly allows a processor erratum.

Download the update available in the link below and install it. It may solve your problem.

I suggest you have a look at the similar problem and the troubleshooting steps by visiting the link below.

I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of the computer to update the chipset drivers as you have updated the BIOS of your computer.

Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    Hope this information is useful.

Let me know if it worked.

  • What is the difference of windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit programs?

What is the difference of windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit programs.

    Original title: * bits *.

    64 bit 32 vs

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/32-bit-and-64-bit-Windows-frequently-asked-questions

My PC running the 32-bit version or 64-bit Windows?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/find-out-32-or-64-bit

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/installing-and-reinstalling-Windows-7

Windows 7 64 bit comes in handy when you need to deal with at least 4 GB of RAM or more. Windows 7 32 bit can use up to 3.2 GB of RAM. Because the address space of memory is much larger for 64-bit Windows, this means that you need two times more memory than the 32-bit Windows to accomplish some of the same task, but you are able to do much more, you can have more apps open, do things like run a virus scan in the background it will affect the performance of your system. 64-bit Windows 7 is safer too, malicious code cannot easily infiltrate it, drivers are more reliable because they must be signed before it can work with 64 bit Windows 7.

Regarding compatibility, you need device drivers 64-bit hardware devices, you may have. In addition, there is no 16-bit subsystem in Windows 7 64-bit, which means, your applications must be 32-bit only, not 16-bit Installer or programs uninstaller. Also, if you decide to switch to Windows 7 64 bit in the future, there is no way to upgrade from 32-bit Windows, clean install only.

    Can I run 32-bit programs on a 64-bit computer?

Most programs designed for a computer running a 32-bit version of Windows running on a computer running 64-bit Windows versions. The notable exceptions are many antivirus programs, and some hardware drivers.

Drivers designed for 32-bit versions of Windows do not work on computers running a 64-bit version of Windows. If you try to install a printer or other device that only has 32-bit drivers available, it won't work correctly on a 64-bit version of Windows. For information on updating drivers and troubleshooting issues with device drivers for 64 bit versions of Windows, contact the manufacturer of the device or program.

    I would be using a 64-bit computer?

The benefits are more obvious when you have a large amount of RAM (RAM) installed on your computer, typically 4 GB of RAM or more. In this case, because a 64-bit operating system can handle large amounts of memory more efficiently as a 32-bit, 64-bit operating system can be more responsive when you run several programs at once and switching between them frequently.

If I am running a 64-bit version of Windows, I need 64-bit drivers for my devices?

Yes. All devices devices need 64-bit drivers to work on a 64-bit version of Windows. Drivers designed for 32-bit versions of Windows do not work on computers running 64-bit Windows versions.

To learn how to check for drivers, see update a hardware driver that is not working properly or go to the website of the manufacturer of the device. You can also get information about drivers by going to the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor website.

  • get the 0x400110020000100b error code while making the recovery of the system for windows vista 32 bit.

I tried to do a system restore on my laptop using the included recovery disks and had this error 0x400110020000100B. The drive looked pretty beaten last week so I ordered a new series. Now, when I got to put disc 2 in (to 80% full) I get the same error.  I called customer service and he took me through the process of F9, nothing works and I also tried the F11 approach that made me not the case.  I'm frustrated because I don't really have the money for a new laptop computer.

Any help would appreciated more than you know.

The system is Windows Vista 32 bit

The guy on the phone said ' well, you know it's a pretty old computer... Thank you gee...

    Hello:

See if you can make your own Vista installation disc if you can read the product key 25 character on the bottom of your laptop.

    Here's how:

If you are in a fault light but rewarding you can do yourself if you can read your product key of Vista on the PC of 25 characters.

You just download the 3 files you need on the link below and read all the instructions to create a Setup bootable DVD disk using imageburn.

Do not take into account the part of the text in the first screen shot about "extract the files in the folder of Vista."

The files were extracted already in this folder when you ran the X14.exe file by reading the text on top of the first screenshot.

The other thing I noticed is on the 4th page, where it shows Developer ID Microsoft Corporation. I had to type Microsoft Corporation in me, and then other codes already filled in.

When I went to compile the ISO file, ImageBurn gave a message on a WIM file, file and ISO, and if I wanted to burn it in a different format.

I selected no, make the ISO file.

It was not so hard to do. I burned both the disk of 64-bit and 32-bit disk in case I ever need them.

I tested both of them one my hp dc7100 CMT desktop PC, worked flawlessly.

When you enter the product key, he knows which version of Vista you have.

    http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/software-OS/w/microsoft_os/3317.2-3-Microsoft-Windows-v...

After you install Vista successfully, you can then install the drivers for your PC and driver page support.

  • 3 TB Canvio suspended at the start of Windows 7

    Can someone please help.

I recently bought an external HARD drive 3 TB canvio and when its connected and I start my computer it hangs on the blue screen, until I have unplug the unit.

I can't even access the boot sequence or anything to remedy it.
I think it's a possible driver problem but can't find anywhere is not try and sell me some kind of software or trick that I've needed before solving the problem.

I fell into that trap, too many times and you want just a driver that will solve my problem.
I am running windows 7 64-bit and for the moment, spin the Ext HDD via a USB 2.

I don't want to get a USB 3 but that will put the socket on the back of the computer and is difficult to get everytime I want to start and then remove the HARD disk in order to start and then replace it when im up and runnning.

Can someone give me some advice or at least some constructive advice on how to solve this problem.
I have tried for a month now and am really frustrated with Toshiba products.

If I understand your question, the laptop does not start when the external HARD drive is connected.
    Right?

To be honest, to me that sounds not like external HARD disk problem.
I guess that you are still able to use this HARD drive if the notebook starts the system. Right?

Maybe you should change the boot order in the BIOS (without external device connected)
If that's not enough I recommend you to check this problem with the support of the manufacturer of your computer.

    Could be a BIOS problem

  • Icons are white or invisible at the start of windows 7.

We have just upgraded a laptop Sony Vaio running Vista 32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. There were not problems by installing the software and Windows loads fine but once it does all the icons on the desktop and in the menu start are either a box white or completely gone. The icon shortcuts seem to work when you double-click. The same problem occurs in windows Explorer. For example, in the pictures folder, none of the thumbnails are viewable. It's the same thing with the white boxes. We have updated the drivers and it doesn't seem to help. I also reset the icon cache and who still doesn't seem to help. The interesting thing is that if I start the computer in safe mode icons ARE visible. Any ideas on what can be causing this and what can we do about it? Let me know if more information on the specifications of the computer is required and I can post it. Thanks in advance.
