    Description of the problem: a few days ago I installed the latest update of Windows. All updates, or so I think by the Windows Update Web page telling me so. However I find myself with the yellow warning icon telling me the KB2729450 update is ready on my computer and needs installation. However, the web page says that it successfully installed. I see the update in Add/REMOVE programs. I've deleted and reinstalled but still have the icon telling me to install it. On locking computer get the message: "the 0X012e8 statement referenced to fffffff is not found,"

    Something that you have running in the background is a failure. You must make systematic troubleshooting to find out what it is.

    The first step is always to ensure that your computer is free of viruses/malware.
    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

    If the machine is clean, you can manage your Startup to see what works with Windows:

    Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

    This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. Just check the box that says in effect, "don't mind to this subject again".

    Important - do not use the System Configuration utility to stop the process. Use rather Start > Run > services.msc [Enter] and stop all services unless you really, really know what you're doing.

  • Disable the scheduled task when the cover is closed

    Hi all

    I'm working on a project using a Panel (with several buttons) and scheduled tasks.

    The problem is that when I close the Panel, scheduled tasks continue to run in the background.

    So, I wanted to know if there is a way to kill these tasks when the cover is closed.

    Thank you for your time!

    Ekibyo

    I don't think you don't need none of that: what you need to do is store the Panel object in a global variable or a property of your script object and then try to access in the task code.

    So let's say that you store the window in a global variable:

    var MyScriptPanel = this;

    Then in the task code, you should be able to test if the Panel object is still valid:

    try
    {
         // Atempt to access a dummy variable:
         // - will return undefined if the Panel is open
         // - should throw an error if the panel is closed
        MyScriptPanel.a;

         // Do your thing and reschedule the task
    }
    catch (err)
    {
        //    Cancel the task
    }

    Tell me if it works.

    After using many scheduleTask I must say don't really like it: I have not tested in CC, but you may notice in CS4 to 6 that it resets the cursor when the mouse is not moving or ignore some shortcuts keyboard, so I would recommend not not to schedule your task too often, or at least give the user a way to select the frequency of execution.

    EDIT: as your line is not fair:

    panel.onClose = Panel_Close();

    It should be...

    panel.onClose = Panel_Close;

    ... with no '()' so that you copy only the body of the function in the callback to onColse. But I wouldn't rely on the events of the UI for something that should work every time.

    Hi Paul Gray TX,.

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. What is the finished message, you receive so that closing the computer?

    3 do you have any schedule tasks on the computer?

    Method 1

    Check and make sure that you don't have to schedule tasks defined on the computer during the process of closing.

    How to modify the scheduled tasks in Windows XP

    Method 2

    It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

    I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

    To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  • 21.0 Firefox is not warn when closing multiple tabs

    I have a Mac OS X, version 10.6.8. I use Firefox 21.0. I have the box checked to warn me when closing multiple tabs. This isn't. Why? Can I do to make it work correctly? Any information that I could find on the internet is for other versions of Firefox and of no use to me.

    No, no complaints. Just a pop-up window explaining site X asks permission to install cookies, despite me having all cookies already enabled. This was after you restart the computer. Oddly, the problem has not occurred today ' today - so the computer had a chance to 'rest' over the weekend, and I think that a power outage also shut down completely for a few days. I consider this case closed and the multiple tabs warning a sacrifice to use private browsing. Thanks for all your suggestions and links included. Very perceptive.
