The computer is stuck on automatic updating when closing down.

During execution of the closure procedure an automatic update starts and had not finished after many hours. Even if it says do not turn off or unplug, because the computer will turn off automatically, I had to do. Now when starting, it still considers that it is updated, and other programs do not work correctly. I need to start in safe mode to restore, because the system restore does not start. How that I start in safe mode? And why the automatic update is causing this problem? It's never happened before, so there must be a bug in the update, and I can't stop it starts up because it is automatic! Someone Please helpme!
My computer is using Windows XP Professional

I guess that part of the question could be a driver which is really old or similar should not be loaded.

  • Flash Player update is linked to the default browser?  -Flash not automatically updated when Chrome is the default

    Hello

I managed machines for an organization where the majority of users have no administrator rights.  I put the Flash drive to automatically install updates.  In accordance with article (old)

How the auto update feature does not work in Flash Player?

"Normal Flash Player installations require an administrator account. However, automatic updates are executed even if the user is logged on with a standard account. »

So I think my clients should be updated automatically to version 18.  However when I check, I see that they have not updated.  After watching cela some more I realize that when I use the control panel to check the updates that he launched Chrome, which is our default browser.  Of course, Chrome is up-to-date, because Google takes care of this.  However if I run IE and paste the URL of the version check in IE I see that flash is not up-to-date.  So, I try to run the update of IE, and when he is finished he launched a Chrome page again.  So it seems to me that Flash player uses whatever the browser is configured as default browser to search for updates with Adobe.  However this will not work if a user has Chrome as their default browser, and also has flash player installed separately for IE.

Do you understand my point?  How can I get Flash player automatically updated when a new version is available, even if my default browser is set on Chrome?

    Thank you

    Scott

    Hey Piyush

Thank you very much for this information.  So basically the feature to 'Allow Adobe to update Flash Player' does not work in all changes of the version.  I find it incredibly misleading.  Rather that engage in a cumbersome process to allow each year the opportunity to distribute flash and then create group policies to deploy, and then test the results to have these policies in place when flash tries to update itself, pay attention to the current versions of flash in order to deploy new .msi files and update our policies...

I think I'll just remove the flash of all our systems.  It is clear that after installing flash is a continuous security risk and it is regrettable that we cannot rely on Adobe to help keep their own software update in a simple and effective way.  It's amazing to me that Google can do a better job of keeping flash updated in their browser at adobe.

    Thank you

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded
on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is
Poster: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,.
company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit Maker as replacements and system manufacturer of device which are
the most recent. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double click - tab of the driver-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
    you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
    and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities
in the updates of Windows, which leaves on Windows updates, but it will not be installed
pilots who are generally older and cause problems. If updates provides a new
driver then hide it (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if
    you want.

    Hello

1 did you changes in the computer before this problem?
    2. meet you download only with Hotmail account problem?
    3. what web browser do you use?

    Method 1:

I suggest that you have temporarily disable or uninstall the security software installed and check if the problem is resolved.

    Uninstall or change a program

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Method 2: Keep the computer in a clean boot and install the update.

  • a way to change the style lightbox - all viewers automatically update?

Hi guys, im setting up a video portfolio site and I went initially to have several thumbnails on each page, each trigger, an album containing a video.

at a later stage, I might want to change the size of the black box that surrounds the video (I think what its called the container), or add an image / change color etc...

My question is, is there a way to set up as a model so that when I update one, they are all up to date?

It worries me because I have about 40 vignettes, each link to an album.

    Thank you

    Hello

If you change the size of a container of the widget HTML composition, Muse automatically updates the containers of other videos of lightbox that you used, as long as you used a single with triggers lightbox widget with multiple targets.

However, I must tell you that muse will update the size of the container and not the positioning of the videos, so if you want to adjust the positions of the videos too, then you will need to do so individually.

    Hope this helps

  • You use the latest version, is it possible to keep an eye when closing down so that they automatically reload. Used to be able to do it on the earlier version?

Would always have several tabs with the web when closing down addresses so that the same tabs are available when you restart as you could with the previous version, so firefox. Is there a setting somewhere?

Record of the tabs was not removed from Firefox 4, but it works a little differently.

    • By default, Firefox 4 will not ask to save tabs, but instead it will always save your tabs on the output unless you're in private browsing mode. You can restore the next time by:

      1. by clicking on the Firefox button > history > "restore previous Session ', or
      2. type of Subject: House in the URL bar and press the Enter key, then press the button "restore previous Session."
    • Note: This was a decision by the developers. On this forum, we are all volunteers without compensation here to help other users. Develop them and employees of Mozilla/Firefox rarely, if ever visit here.

To display the message "save tabs and exit" when closing multiple tabs, you can do the following:

    1. Type of topic: config in the URL/address bar and press the Enter key
    2. Accept the warning message (promise to be careful)
    3. Open the preferences/list page
    4. Filter = browser.tabs.warnOnClose
    5. If its value is set to false, double-click top (in the lower panel) to toggle its value to true
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the 3 following preferences also:
      • browser.warnOnQuit
      • browser.warnOnRestart
      • browser.showQuitWarning
    7. See:

Things to check if the tabs are not being saved to the output:

    1. Browsing history must be saved

      • Button Firefox: Firefox button > Options > Options > privacy > [X] Remember my browsing history
      • Menu bar: Tools > Options > privacy > [X] Remember my browsing history
    2. Also, make sure that you do not erase "Browsing history" when you use clear recent history or when Firefox is closed
      • Using clear recent history

        • Button Firefox: Firefox button > history > clear recent history
        • Menu bar: Tools > clear recent history
      • When Firefox is closed
    3. Make sure that you are not in private browsing mode or in private browsing mode permanent:

Even if this thing was a room at the time where it was running Windows 8 and 8.1, so I want to try to make it work on Windows 10 without having to start over with a clean install. That's why I asked about the drivers.

your ZC-102 will not have a direct drivers updated from Acer support, which means you have to rely on Windows Update by itself the drivers or get them by yourself.

Let me give you 3 Tips:

    1) never use Registry cleaners Windows 8.x and above all, they are no longer needed

    (2) uninstall McAfee, he kills the performance of your machine, use the antivirus windows integrated, it is good and very light

    (3) If you require loading time fast on programs, think about an SSD upgrade

  • IE8_Windows automatic update when IE8 is already installed

original title: automatic update anomaly IE8_Windows

Windows Auto Update on my laptop under Windows XP Sp3, just downloaded and prompted me to install "Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP".  However, I'm already under IE8 (8.0.6001.18702 worm).

The update is not called an "update for IE8" and its accompanying info explains the benefits for me to install IE8.

In addition, there is a link in the details area of this automatic update that goes to a website showing "we're sorry, the requested page is not found.

Is this just a problem in the Windows automatic updates, in fact just an update to my already installed IE8 or something more sinister?

    Appreciate your advice

    In no order given...

1 automatic updates will not offer all other updates as long as there are one or more updates in the queue (for example, IE8).

    2. in my previous answer, hide (optional, non-security update) KB951847, the HID Driver (generically identified as KB 911895) and IE8update.

TIP: If you have not already run the troubleshooter automated in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 & restarted, you may need to do if after you hide these updates.

    3. http://windowsteamblog.com/ie/b/ie/archive/2011/12/15/ie-to-start-automatic-upgrades-across-windows-xp-windows-vista-and-windows-7.aspx refers to IE8 in WinXP and IE9 in Vista & Win7.

    4. as far as I know there is no current, yet available AV app version (free or otherwise, including Avast and Avira AntiVir) which would be like 'light' on your Windows XP system as a bit outdated-yet-still-supported by AVG Free v9.

Comment: A casual survey on the malware removal forums will show you that the vast majority of infected systems are running AVG Free (any version) - followed closely by ISP-freebies McAfee Security Center & Norton Security Suite. Think about it...
