RV082 - routing with quickvpn issues

Hi all

I ve a special configuration to my network, we have about 20 sites managed by an external supplier. Last week, we bought a Linksys RV082, in order to enable remote access in our network.

It is possible to configure the router with an ip address public luckily. We are currentliy use tar on the firewall to allow access to the router. / * Style definitions * / table. IP nat inside source 192.168.5.180 static and external IP address

When I opened the public ip address in my browser I can access the web interface of the router. So far so good.

The WAN Interface is configured as follows

Static IP 192.168.5.182

Subnet 255.255.255.0

Gateway 192.168.5.254

DNS 192.168.1.1

The unit is configured as a router (with the two RIP) and a 192.168.252.1 IP address. (This network is unique in our company)

The firewall is disabled

HardwareVersion 2

When one add a pptp user and enable the pptp, I m able to access each subnet in our company server

When I add a user QuickVPN and successfully establish a connection, I m unable to access any subnet/Ip in our company. Only the WAN IP 192.168.5.182 is ping-able. I can't ping any device, neither the 192.168.252.1 nor the 192.168.5.10

This is the routing table when you're connected via pptp

My questions,

How to configure the device to access the network via quickvpn as pptp?

My goal is accessible?

I ve no more ideas, the I ve found anything in the internet, or on google, nor in this forum that match my troubles.

Please give me your comments, regards dario

PS: Sorry for my bad English...

It will be difficult, especially because QVPN does not allow you to configure it to several networks. The reason why PPTP and QVPN work doesn't have is the Protocol in use. QVPN use IPSec in which you specify the authorized networks, where in PPTP you log only the user to connect to the device or the server. There are ways to deceive our router so that we can make what you need, but it is not easy and you are limited to the number of users who can use the connection. I wrote a couple of 'how to' using IPsecuritas for Mac and also shrew VPN. You will not be able to get several subnets with the QVPN customer.

  • RV082 problems with internet - downloading file corruption

    Hey guys,.
I have the RV082 router and I'm having a strange problem.

When I try and download files or applications, my computer happens to expire during the download and unexpectedly farm or the file that I am trying to download is corrupted.  I have never seen anything like this before.  I spent the time on the phone with my ISP and they said this isn't a problem on their end.  I am able to browse the internet without any problem.  I just have problems downloading stuff.

I have reproduced this problem on other computers on my network.  If it is not isolated to my computer.  that tells me that there must be something wrong with the router.

Is this a problem with my router settings?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's really weird. I suggest to manipulate the MTU of the RV082 section if this will solve the problem. Follow this link to determine the correct MTU size for router:

Also, make sure that you are using the latest firmware for the router said. You can download the latest firmware for the router on this link:

Apart from that, I suggest you contact support CISCO focus more on your problem. In my view, that this unit is part of serial company Cisco devices now supports. Try going to this link for other devices of the series business and the site where you can get your hands on Cisco for support:

  • Wired router with POE and Gigabit ethernet to run two AC1750 access points?

Hello, I'm looking for a recommendation for a wired router with POE and Gigabit ethernet to connect to both access to ceiling LinkSys AC1750 points internet routing on the WAN to a Virgin Media UK cable connection plug - can someone advise a good solution?

I'm a Home Office / Small Office so user there are several Wired's devices and a mixture of wireless clients. I need at least 8 ethernet outlets. Reliablity and speed performance are important, but not important enough to go overboard on the cost!

    Many thanks to you all.

I recommend a router Linksys (SMB) LRT214\224 and a switch POE LGS Linksys (SMB). This combination will be very fast and stable.

  • When I try to connect with my wireless laptop will connect only to Local access. If I connect the laptop to the router with the ethernet cable, it works very well.

    VIsta - Local access only

    HI -.
I recently moved.   I use the same router from my old apartment and I had no problem connection in the past.   Since I moved I have a new Time Warner modem (Cisco) and the modem works fine.

The router also works very well I'm able to connect with my iPhone and IPad without any problem.

But when I try to connect with my wireless laptop, it will only connect to Local access.    If I connect the laptop to the router with the ethernet cable, it works very well.

    It's a Dell Studio 15 with Vista.

The computer is able to connect to wifi to other places without any problem, but for some reason that I can't connect home.   I tried to reset the modem and the router several times, but that did not help.   I tried the option repair & diagnose several times but it doesn't work.

I tried to look for other solutions online and tried to disable IPv6, and while it helped some and I was able to connect wireless, the computer ran so slowly that it didn't seem like a good solution.

This has been very frustrating.   Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion.
    Staci

    Hello Staciusa,

Have you tried to change the wireless channel that your router is running at? There may be interference that could prevent the internet connection:

Take a look at step 6 in this article that give more details about it:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/athome/Setup/wirelesstips.aspx

If you need assistance to change the settings of the specific router, you will need to contact your router manufacturer or your internet service provider.

  • WRTP54G (wireless router with phone connection) with Panasonic BL-C30A network camera (WEP only)

    Hello

I would use this wireless router with WEP I can access the wireless camera (camera does only WEP encryption).
The camera should be the only device authorized to connect to this wireless router.
I can devote channel 11, so only use this wireless router
I know that WEP can be cracked but I think maybe I can set up the router for it does not matter, i.e.,.
While the camera is accessible by this particular router

    so my questions are:
    1. can I configure the router so only local outgoing LAN requests http are allowed?
    2. any other suggestions about the configuration of router that prevent access to my network?
(using address filtering (by address mac camera only) MAC is worth, but I guess that the MAC address can be spoofed so not a complete solution)

    Thank you

  • Problems with my 4 port Gigabit Security Router with VPN

OK, I got a wireless router and I have a Web site hosted by 1and1.com and I could connect my fine site. But recently I got the 4 port Gigabit Security Router with VPN and since then I have not been able to connect to it even, I started my own ftp server it always blocks and it will capture everything until she tries to recover the files, then it expires just after a while

What is the model number of your device? If you have a Web server and an FTP server behind the router, you will need to transfer the ports used by the said request. Ports TCP 80 and TCP 21.

I'll try to find the lowest cost of the Cisco router with option 66.  I use the router in conjunction with spa50x phones and must be able to ensure the configuration at startup.

  • Can I update (IDS) signatures to a router with IOS/FW/IDS?

I have a router with IOS FW/IDS version 12.2.3 3725. Can I update the IDS signatures?

Sorry, but isn't the answer. IOS IDS signatures are hard coded in the code of IOS. They are rarely updated. All you can really do is allow them or not and some simple check of what they catch.
