RV180W static DHCP

I've updated the firmware 1.0.1.9 for 1.0.3.10

Now, I can't announce a static IP address to the list.

Before, I added some static IP addresses and now I see one of them.

Does anyone have this problem?

Does anyone have a solution?

(Sorry for may bad English)

Hello Andy,

What exactly is the error you get? Can you reset the router (reset) and try again?

Thank you

Vijay

  • WRT320N the static DHCP leases

    Hello

I have a wrt320n. It works well, but I need the static DHCP leases.

the reason is simple: If you use static port forward for applications that don't support upnp, and the customer receives a different IP that is specified for the port forward, everything is messed up.

I couldn't find any reference for this feature in the manual or in the web interface of the router, so I guess that's not possible ATM.

could you please add support for this feature (pretty basic)?

    Thanks in advance.

Static DHCP leases are called a DHCP on the WRT320n reservation. Its on the configuration page of the installation program of base next to the list of DHCP server.

  • Static DHCP lease

    Hello

Can someone please explain to me what static DHCP lease?

    Hello

I think it's just a simple IP reservation, it will bind to a certain MAC address with the IP address and when the device sends a DHCP server DHCP request will always distribute this specific IP address.

  • SG300-10 - static DHCP IS * NOT * work - assignment using MAC

    Hello experts,

I'm not an expert on Cisco switches, so I use the web gui to configure my switch.

I created a range of IP addresses for my network and also set a different default VLAN - as I understand it it's "best practices".

    my default VLAN:

    199

I deleted all other VLANS until I figured out how to set these static IP addresses.

and all ports are assigned with the VLAN above *only*.

If the IP range is defined as:

    192.168.11.0/24

This is the info as it appears on the web-gui:

    vlan_199_ipServer

    255.255.255.0

    192.168.11.1

    192.168.11.254

    0d 0 h 1 m

I put the renewal interval to 1 minute for debugging purposes. and I will he change once I have it working properly.

This switch works as DHCP in the network server - but no static address don't seem to work.

Instead, dynamic IP addresses are used by the clients/PC in this network.

Among customers, there is Windows 8, Windows Vista, Ubuntu 12.04, Ubuntu 13.10 raspberry-pi raspebian...

but there is no way that I can put then in a static IP address.

I already entered the details, and there is a static IP list with the following information:

    INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

    host name

    network mask

    MAC address

and it's posting on the web-gui as:

IP Address Host Name Network mask Identifier type MAC customer/address identifier Client Name
      192.168.11.40 rpiDesk01 255.255.255.255 MAC address B8:27:EB:D8:82:B6

I am not sure if I have provided information suffient - please let me know if you need more clarification.

My problem - how my static IP address to use instead of the dynamics?

    with respect,

With these cisco switches stupid, that you must first allow clients to recievs its IP via dhcp and then watch the table liaison to see how he requested from the server, did she use a client or mac id.  Then create that he used a static entry using the same.  Remove the entry bind and arp entry and then connect the client again.

I have this to complain over a year without doubt to nothing done.  The switch must be intelligent enough to understand one another, simple analysis and rectification of the lead byte if a customer id is provided by the customer.

  • Migrate server DHCP static leases

    Hello

We currently use an old Mac Pro as a DHCP server, use the latest version of server of El Capitan. Now, we want to copy all the static DHCP leases we have implemented (approximately 120 static leases), so that we can put them on another Mac mini, this time takes up half of the leases for a different subnet.

I know that the DHCP leases, temporary positions, are saved in a file that you can delete to erase the leases, but I have not found where static leases are saved. I know that you can change in the Directory Manager application, but I need to export them somehow, so that we can easily migrate. A Time Machine backup is not an option.

    Thanks in advance!

    See you soon

Apple's DHCP server configuration file is /etc/bootpd.plist

The file you're looking for is/etc/bootptab , but it is also possible to set static IP cards in Open Directory itself in the computerssection. If a card is defined in/etc/bootptab it takes precedence over the setting in the Open Directory.

You can perform the following operations in Terminal.app to get more information

    Man bootpd

    bootptab man

The file that contains the list of active leases is/var/db/dhcpd_leases

It's a little ironic that Apple uses the name dhcpd_leases dhcpd is a different program from the competing DHCP server to the bootpd use of Apple program. Bootpd Apple is highly personalized on the original version of the open source to add for example the NetBoot support.

  • DHCP fails with two subnets and RV325 and SG300 - 28 p

DHCP fails to issue addresses in double subnet environment.  Please see attached.

    Hello

Mr. Ezzell, after reviewing all the screenshots and have a look at your configuration and you are not able to change the arrangement for VIRTUAL LANs, you can try this:

As a work-around to use the router as DHCP VLAN 2 server, you can enable the DHCP server on the router for the VLAN 1, leave 2 IP addresses available, lets say 192.168.1.253 to 192.168.1.254 then go to static DHCP under network and the local network and hire two false addresses to these two IP addresses, so they will not be assigned to all devices. This way you will always be able to use your DHCP server without having to disable the DHCP server on the router

Thank you for pointing out the firmware version very low on your switch, you actually run the firmware that came out of the unit.

Here is a link to the firmware download page:

    https://software.Cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=283019669&flowid=...

Please upgrade to the following firmware versions:

    1.2.9.44
    1.3.0.62
    1.3.5.58
    1.4.0.88

Keep in mind that on the 1.3.5.58 version, you must also upgrade the bootcode using TFTP software.

Once you are done with the upgrade of the connection check and see if it works.

  • SRP527W setting DHCP address and source firewall rules

In my quest to find a decent ADSL router for VoIP, I found the SRP527W and so far it has been the best performer of a range of boxes from netgear, thomson, and zyxel.  However, I have two questions:

    (1) how to troubleshoot DHCP leases on the LAN address

    (2) how to specify source ip in the firewall rule

    Note:

I currently have 1 computer on the LAN, VLAN1 interface

    * 192.168.15.100

    and

2 IP phones on the LAN, VLAN100 interface

    * 192.168.100.100

    * 192.168.100.101

Address three assigned by the DHCP server lease times with approximately 20 days.

I would like to repair the three devices DHCP leases, for example if some port forwarding rules can be made with confidence that the rules will not point to another device in the future.

from PVC0-> 192.168.15.100, Port 3389 for remote desktop

    of PVC0-> 192.168.100.100 ex.port 5881 to int.port 80 for voip phone web-gui

    from PVC0-> 192.168.100.101 ex.port 5882 to int.port 80 for voip phone web-gui

Ideally, I would like the rules to act like that, limiting myself only to access these ports (from my remote site)

PVC0 interface where the source is ip 12.34.56.78-> 192.168.15.100, Port 3389 for remote desktop

    PVC0 interface where the source is ip 12.34.56.78-> 192.168.100.100 ex.port 5881 to int.port 80 for voip phone web-gui

    PVC0 interface where the source is ip 12.34.56.78-> 192.168.100.101 ex.port 5882 to int.port 80 for voip phone web-gui

I hope that makes sense, I appreicate any help you can give.

    Kind regards

    Hi Paul,.

Thank you for using the Cisco support community.

    With regard to two questions:

    1. Yes - it is possible to configure static DHCP assignments.  Use the DHCP Server rule configuration page and click the 'Show DHCP booking' button to assign.

    2. Unfortunately, it is not possible to configure rules to address source for the SRP520 list.  (This is possible on the SRP540 for further reading).

    Kind regards

  • RV180 Question DHCP

    Hello

I swear to you that I had read somewhere that the RV180 only supported up to 50 clients DHCP before you had to book statically DHCP addresses assignments.  Is this true or am I confusing this with another router router?  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind regards

    James

The size of the reserved DHCP addresses table is 50. RV180 is supposed to be able to support up to 253 clients dhcp.

  • C - series C40 do not accept static IP address them

We have a C40 CSeries who won't accept the static IP address, we have assigned.  I tried to change the static DHCP and back, sometimes restart between changes, but he won't use the static address, we are trying to give him.  We have another codec in the same place that I copied all the network settings (subnet and gateway), to ensure that they voted for this location.  I even tried to upgrade the codec (TC5.1.3 and TC5.1.4) while DHCP and then switch to static, reboot, however always the same results.

    Any ideas, thank you.

    Hello

you have access to the C40 to check things through root console?

You can check the error messages in the file/var/log/console? Sometimes, when the IP configuration is bad setbacks codec back to DHCP. Look for lines like this:

Maybe the /etc/init.d/S16network script detects question?

It can print errors as follows:

    Hello

A loopback adapter is required for all installations except static (DHCP or IP) network if you are installing on a multihomed computer computer not connected to the network or DHCP server, there are additional configuration steps required.

These steps are also available in the system requirements document in the "Oracle Fusion Middleware Configuration requirements" section. Common installation, planning of tasks - 11 g Release 2 (11.1.2.2.0)

I could press the i key to display the IP etc but all entries were completely empty.

I have zero network and turn on the unit and goes out, but not had any luck.

I then abandoned static DHCP and all typed manually and suddenly everything started working, the busy flag disappeared and the symbol of a Wi - Fi connection appeared in the status bar!

This seems to be a good workaround for now, maybe someone finds it useful.

    Hi people,

This is a first for me - 2009 v9.0f3 running and have problems with the above vi (included as part of the example of "Replication of system"). I used this VI for a while now and never had this problem.

The local NIC 10/100 the value by default, but if static DHCP DHCP not available (172.16.1.1/255.255.0.0).

    PSC-2010 is static to 172.16.1.2

Link/ping find between the target and the computer host.

Target is running RT v8.5.1, FP VI Manager 6.0.1 / PS drivers 6.0.0 and variable customer support for LV RT.

    Crashes when:

-host to PSC-2010 PC connection is OK

    AND

-' Find not only configured "bool terminal is set to (False)

    Won't crash if:

-computer host is connected to the network 'coorperate' and a IP through DHCP (no target address). Or bool value.

-host to PSC-2010 PC connection is OK

    AND

-' Find not only configured "bool terminal is set to (true)

Crash is difficult - no "program has stopped responding", all the windows just left LabVIEW.

Recovery comes into play on the next launch of LV, but no error report.

Any thoughts? Don't know where to start, another that * perhaps * an another PSC-2010.

  • Policy update for several networks with specific DNS servers

I have a network of medium size with 5 locations with different IP addresses. All the sites host their own DNS servers and connect directly through a dedicated VLAN access provider.

    Main site 10.1.1.1 255.0.0.0
    Remote site 1 192.168.100.1 255.255.255.0
    Remote site 2 192.168.101.1 255.255.255.0
    Remote site 3 192.168.102.1 255.255.255.0
    Remote site 4 192.168.103.1 255.255.255.0

All sites can be managed via the main site, but have their own DNS servers on-site.

My goal is to point all computers and devices on a new DNS server for their previous static assignment. (XP and later)

My question is can I use GP or DHCP * for information push on each apparatus, this DNS server that makes site specific without having to travel to these places?

    Requirements:

    All devices of 10.1.1.1 10.1.1.2 to 10.1.1.4 change (old decom 2 k 3 Server)

At each location of 192 DNS servers will have to point the secondary server to 10.1.1.4

Handheld devices will use 10.1.1.4 as primary and 10.1.1.3 as secondary.

Devices at each site shall keep their respective DNS server.

    * If I use DHCP to change the information on a per level of scope, I can use GP to force computers with locally defined static assignments update the static DHCP assignments

Bonus: If someone can give me an estimate on how much traffic/band bandwidth network that it would create would be great because I consider well shift assignments as I am a business 24 hours a day.

  • LAPAC1200 of Chromecast on track to disappearance

I seem to have issues using a Chromecast on my LAPAC1200 access point. Previously, I was using a wifi router D - Link DIR-855, and everything worked well. I upgraded my installation to a LAPAC1200 and a wired router only. In general, Chromecast works correctly to lighting, but after 10 or two minutes, it seems to become inactive on the network and invisible for compatible devices Chromecast (Android tablet or phone)

I'm running the 1.0.08.000 latest firmware on the access point. UPnP is enabled on my router, and the LAPAC1200 and Chromecast have static DHCP leases.

    Specifically, these are the symptoms...

Scenario 1: Plug Chromecast (lights and connects to the Wifi, no problem). Chromecast icon appears on the tablet. Connect to the Chromecast and start a video. After 10 to 15 minutes, I check the Tablet, and it has disconnected. Chromecast icon does not appear again.

Scenario 2: Chromecast grip. Launch Chromecast Android app and you connect to it to check the settings. Wait 15 minutes. Launch app again and Chromecast does not appear on the network.

Are there settings on the LAPAC1200 I should change?

"IGMP Snooping" used for the Linksys LAPAC1200 algorithm is originally the Chromecase to disappear. After a period of time, the LAPAC1200 stops let pass the multicasts packets. After that I disabled "IGMP Snooping", my Chromecast works very well.
