I have improved my 4070cdt satellite for win xp pro and now my screen is half the size, I have a missing driver. If so what should I download and were. I ran a test before installing and it appeared very well install.

Hello Steve

Usually, you must install the right driver from Toshiba for Win XP OS graphics card.
On the Toshiba driver download site, you can search for these drivers.

Not really customer service.

My thoughts are that it is a driver problem. Try to update your drivers, and then stop the updated driver in Windows Updates.

    -----------------------------------------

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
    manually if you wish.

At startup the following appaers: x: error-windows-system32-drvload.exe and does not start. I can't bring him to an old date system and the system does not restart, and the only solution is resettlement.

Did this and it works that well he'll be back in 81 updates and the problem recurs. For the second time, and then reinstall the updates a blue screen with the irq problem. Back to the old date of updates again just works now. Nearby, he installed the updates and restart the laptop works again nothing and the appers fault even once.

Now, I installed again and update SP1 manually. It starts normally upwards and after making 41 updates, that the same thing happened.

Hi all, I've just upgraded computer laptop of my partner (a Toshiba Satellite A200-196) to Windows 7 after you initially install Windows XP on it (it came with Vista).

After the XP update, I noticed that some keys were not working. I don't remember the process that I used to solve the problem, but the difficulty that I did, and they were all soon works perfectly. So this is a software problem and not material. I think he might have something to do with the FN key - but I can't be sure.

Now, I just upgraded the same machine and I have exactly the same problem. Keys that don't work are Backspace, O, P, F, H, K and L.

Can anyone help please? I tried to reinstall Win7 and the problem is still there.

    Thank you very much

    Andy

    > The keys that don't work are Backspace, O, P, F, H, K and L.

These keys have nothing to do with the missing software.
Indeed, the function key (FN key) needs a Toshiba utility particular installation / software to make it work, but the keys Backspace, O, P, F, H, K and L are common keys on the keyboard that don t need no special software.

That's why I think that the problem is hardware related: simple keyboard malfunction.
I guess that all of these keys work correctly if you sign in and use the external USB keyboard.

Everyone still faces a problem of printing with the new updates?

    Hi Michael,

I see you got a problem with printer HP LJ1200 after installation of updates recently offered from Windows update.

What exactly happened when you were trying to print after the recent updates? Have you received an error message?

Thanks for the sharing of information when you perform a restore as solved the problem.

This issue would have occurred as a result of updates related to the printer or the additional updates to the hardware device connected to the computer. Sometimes, when these problems occur after Windows update, we should always check the specific updates that have been installed right before the problem occurred. In this way, we can identify the update that caused the problem.

As the problem does not persist now, I suggest you to download and manually install the updates individually to determine the exact cause of the problem.

Please let us know if you need help on this question.
