    Hello

First of all, thanks a lot for taking the time to help me.

After having tried everything you have suggested and have no chance and then by searching the Microsoft sites, Dell and SanDisk, I finally found a very simple solution that worked.

Thought I would pass it for any future reference.

The SanDisk site said to try this:

Activation or forcing MSC mode on the Sansa player

How to connect my Sansa in Mode "MSC" player or forcing MSC mode on my Sansa player?

The steps below will force your readers Sansa Connect mode MSC on your PC.

    Sansa Clip Zip
    1. turn off the device.
2 hold down the central button while connecting the device to the computer.

    Thanks again.

  • Windows Media Player does not recognize MP3 player

I have 2 MP3 players; Version Windows Media Player 11 (WMP11) cannot "see" them: a Sansa Fuze (4 GB) and a Sansa e260 (4GB).  I have updated the firmware on both devices in MSC mode.  I * can * see these devices via 'my computer', they appear as drive F (and a mysterious car 'g' also appears when I plug devices!)  My Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop runs Windows vista, and all Microsoft updates have been executed. How do I get WMP11 to see my devices and allow me to manipulate files and sync?

    Hi McTia,

    (a) if it works well before? Remember to make changes to the settings of the windows media player?

Follow the steps mentioned in the link to manually synchronize items in windows media player and let us know if it helps

If you connect two MP3 players, there are two disks with drive letters different (probably F and G depending on your hard drive partition).

You can check if the MP3 devices works fine on another computer.

  • Computer does not recognize my Sansa e260

I run Windows 7 Home Premium. My MP3 player is a Sandisk Sansa e260.

Normally, to charge the Sansa, I've just plug it into a USB port on the computer. It is immediately recognized and loading begins.

Today, while I was out walking the dog, the Sansa ran out of juice. So when I got home I plugged the computer in the usual way. The computer does not know that it existed. It didn't start to load, it does not appear as a drive in Windows Explorer.

I rebooted the computer with the trendy Sansa. No improvement. I ran "Find the hardware changes" on the USB entry in Device Manager. No change.

I tried the Sansa in computer from Vista to my wife (who also accused there from time to time). Same result - the computer does not recognize the Sansa.

    Any ideas, please?

Try performing a reset before you plug it into your computer to charge. There may be just enough juice left for this. You can usually squeeze a few more drops of a flat (any type) battery by heating slightly he. Maybe put it in your Pocket next to your body under a sweater for a while, or take it to bed with you. Your body heat to warm up gently.

Now that old hat so to speak, press and hold the market/menu button while you count to 20. You can do it silently so the people around you do not think you have freaked out. OK, now, release the button and after a few seconds, press again to see if it boots up on its own. If so, place the cable of life support (Sansa) to quick before he dies again.

  • Is my Sansa e260 DEAD?

    Hi guys!

    I need your help!

    I (maybe I had...) a Sansa e260 4GB, black color.

I tried to format my MP3 as a key USB BOOTABLE DEVICE

Now my Sansa only power ring of blue light.

Do not power light lcd or lcd screen inverter.

I've tried all the instructions found at the Sandisk Sansa Forum site, but he could not help me.

When I connect the USB to the windows, show a new hardware found, it does not recognize.

To the "Device Manager" in windows, it shows as a "other devices > USB Device" without recognizing.

If you guys could do something?

I would like to put my Sansa on the trash, I love it!

Take a look at the video. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lG-iBcXWZ0A)

  • SANDISK Sansa Clip Zip not recognized by WIN 8

My SANDISK Sansa Clip Zip MP3 player is not recognized by my WIN 8 machine when I connect it via USB.  It works fine on my other machine WIN 8.  Technical support SANDISK told me that the MTP drivers are missing or corrupted.  How do I find, download and install these drivers from the Microsoft site?  Is it also possible to copy these out of the installation of WIN 8 disk I have?

OK, so I found that this worked for me on win. 8

1st: hit 'Windows key' 'X', then click on Device Manager.

2nd: once it go to Universal Serial Bus Controllers, find "USB Mass Storage Device".

3rd: hit search and edit the material (something like that)

4th: there are 2 categories, the first to find the driver automatically, and the second looking for your pc.

5th: click on the first then wait it should work and then it will say that it is recognized and you can sync your Media Player!

I hope this has helped! :)

  • Sansa e260 not recognized by Windows Media Player in MSC mode

    Hello

I have a problem. When I connect my Sansa e260 in my PC, Windows Media Player 12 will not recognize it. I can still see it in the computer, including the Micro SD card. When it's in MTP mode I can see it in WMP, but I don't see that micro SD. thing is I want to download some new songs on the Micro SD card that I can't see. I don't know if I can download songs on the player itself, because I don't have any space left there and I dare not remove anything where I won't be able to download stuff on him. I'm running on Windows 7. This problem occurred during the night. I change not all components, nor that I have installed all new programs. I also tried different USB ports, firmware reinstallation, trying even Rockbox.

That's about all. Any idea is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Set mode MSC, where the map stands as a separate disk. (MTP mode is for control via WMPlayer or Media Monkey).

Albums of drag - move around the map.
