SanDisk sansa fuze 8 GB refurb or new? response before September 7

OK, I've decided I want the "rocket", but I don't know which to get. new or refurb? I need the answer before 7 September or before.

A new will have a guarantee of year-round, a pretty face and person of another stay on this subject.

A refurb will be no guarantee (perhaps a few days from the seller), can not seem new and may have hardware problems, that you can't see.

Type "refurb" in the search field at the top on the left and you will see what can happen.

You could save $10-20 on the refurb. But I think it's worth spending a little more to know that you will have to use at least a year of it--and probably much more.

When you get a new, take a few moments to update the firmware. Many improvements have been made to what is in the box.

  • Can the Sandisk Sansa Fuze 4 GB MP3 read podcasts one after the other

For health reasons, I need to take a long walk after each meal.  For many years during my walks that I listened to podcasts on my wonderful old Sandisk sansa, who plays a podcast after the other without action from me until I have stop.  It's perfect here in the North when I walk in 30 below zero weather. I mean that I don't want to open my parka and out the player to move to the next podcast.  If I had to do, they would find me lying in the snow, Frost, like all the rest of those poor Devils who bought the wrong MP3 player.  Anyway, after years of using the plug-in on my old Sansa fuze is pretty much exhausted and the player must be replaced.  I buy a sansa clip, but had to return when I discovered that he has not played podcasts one after the other, automatically. (And it's also too small for my needs).  Before you buy a new 4 GB sansa fuse, so I need to know if this greatest player will play my podcasts consecutively and one after the other.  Your advice would be much appreciated.

I currently use the Sansa e250 2 GB MP3 Fuze player Walkman.

There is an e250 (2 GB) and a rocket. They are 2 totally different players. The "rocket" (original) replaced the e200 series model.

But if your podcasts are placed in the Podcast folder (or even record Audio books) and then ranked in the same "Album" folder, they must play consecutively without stopping, regardless of the model of reader.

  • Does not recognize Sansa Fuze 8 GB SanDisk 4 GB or 8 GB of MicroSD cards

I tried 2 MicroSD cards sizes in my Sansa Fuze player. I tried the MTP and MSC Usb mode and none indicate the existence of additional flash memory in the Explorer. The firmware version is V01.01.22A. I saw the second listed MicroSD card once in Explorer, but he showed no memory (0 bytes). It is formatted in FAT32. I'm looking for suggestions. Thank you!

I'm not the least insulted. If this field doesn't make you humble, nothing will...

Well, I finally fixed it! I must admit that it was the network of error type are often people. We always say our studnets to remember the PHYSICAL LAYER of the network. You know "is the network card plugged? No, really, unplug it and plug it back in then! "Well, I'm not going to eat crow on this one, it'll be a RAVENset! I should have more carefully listen to your advice. I slipped originally partially microSD card in the unit and it remained in place (I had to tap it to remove it from the device). Today, I played with her and you press the harder SD micro card UNTIL THE OUTSIDE EDGE WAS RINSE WITH THE SURFACE OF THE SANSA FUZE! That solved the problem. I didn't know that it had to be squeezed so forcefully! Antother lesson learned...

    Tanks for all your comments!

  • Sansa Fuze Skip Song

1 month ago I bought a Sansa Fuze 4 GB, and I really liked it.  In that first month, I transferred music from Microsoft Media Player for the "rocket" with no problems and I also played music without any problem, so I see no problem.  Everything seemed to be working great until last night when I installed the new firmware.

I installed the new firmware using the request for the Installation of the Firmware Sansa. After installing the new firmware, I had to Resync my library.  I noticed after the resynchronization when I played music, many songs on the "rocket" should be ignored.  For example, I would play the ABC song after song what ABC ended, I see the image of the song DEF, but song THAT DEF would not play and the "rocket" would skip to the next song HIG.  If I tried to navigate back to the song (DEF), which was initially ignored, should be displayed, but the "rocket" would skip to the next song HIG.

If I tried to navigate directly to the song ignored interface of rocket, the song wouldn't play.  Artist ZYX has several songs in their folder.  If I chose to play all the songs of this specific artist, the "rocket" would skip infinitely without playing any music.

Also, after I updated the firmware, I noticed all my music was removed from the "rocket" and my GoList was empty.

Does anyone have recommendations on how to solve these problems?

    Update

I tried the "rocket" by sliding the spring power switch on the side to the top as if you turn on the device, but hold position for 20-30 seconds as described here http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=sansafuse&thread.id=44242, but he did not rest.

    Thank you

    BarDev

    Thanks for the suggestions.

I have connected the "rocket" to my computer and was able to play a song on my computer from the "rocket" which was previous fried.

I formatted the disk.  After formatting the drive, I resynced the "rocket" Media Player.  Now, everything seems to work.

    Thanks for the help.

  • Sansa fuze will not update track licenses

I must have the most ghetto sansa fuze there because I had so many problems with mine. I currently have two. I have the new firmware from sandisk sansa updater program.

    First of all:

When I connect my sansa fuze to my PC to update track licenses, add songs, etc. that my computer slows down considerably and all internet access is stopped. I can't sign my account on rhapsody because the internet will not work. And since internet does not work when it is connected, I could not update my licenses and now they are all expired. Help, please!

    Second:

I took the same sansa fuse to another computer. When I plugged on the second computer, I had no problem. However, when I try to update the licenses, the Rhapsody program says that the function is finished. But when I try to listen to music in the "rocket", the "rocket" tells me that track licenses are obsolete. I've updated the entire library and internal and external disks, appears in the pane. I hope this makes some sense. Any help is appreciated.

It's the limitation of the Janus DRM.  You must update the licenses of track on the same PC as they were transferred from.

This isn't a fault with Rhapsody, it's part of the way in which DRM system has been designed.  Format RealAudio RAX of Rhapsody has circumvented this restriction by using the Rhapsody from Sansa e200R.

Regarding the license updates in the last 24 hours, the real servers had issues.  The system is back today!  Yep, I met the same question, a handful of devices update last night.

  • Sansa Fuze 4 G v.2.02.28a wrong with gel, formatted and reinstalled the firmware

My sansa fuze has been freezing since update firmware a couple of months.  Sometimes he would set himself, when I rebooted, but it gets progressively worse.

Today it froze to the homescreen as usual, but I could not turn on after I restarted several times, after many trials, I could connect to my pc without the "rocket" freezing at the login screen. I decided to format it through my pc and I also reformatted it on the player as well. I have not reformatted it since adapting if I was trying to avoid having my deleted files. Meanwhile, I looked in the forums to apply solutions that have worked for others in the same situation.

Here are some of my problems I think to make this kind of odd. Windows tells me is no longer a memory, internal and external, it reads the interns as F: drive and the external slot as drive G:

Also, I have a napster to Go account that I use for a year now synchronized with this player and he wrote the unit (the "rocket") is not compatible, and I tried the update of napster to see if that was the problem, but napster has been giving me trouble since the new update with the firmware of the rocket. However, now I am not able to re - download my music files without paying the full price for one without a subscription.

I think that the problem comes from the "rocket" as opposed to my napster account. Any information on this would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

Have you tried switching USB (Settings/System Settings/USB Mode) mode to PSG?

If not, why not roll back manually. Just unzip the firmware.26 and drop the .bin file in the drive of the rocket.

  • Sansa fuze will not turn on or charge

My sansa fuze was working fine until one day when he suddenly cut off and since it lights up for about 10 seconds and cut again once

Time of a call to the Technical Support Center of SanDisk. If they can't get you Goin ' again, they can get the replacement to the title of their current 1-year warranty.

Note: SanDisk is in the middle of changing over their customer support to a new system, so it may take a little longer than usual to get your replacement, if necessary.

  • Sansa Fuze - device will not start error 10

I know that it's all over the forums and believe me, after trying the support of Sandisk I scoured the entire internet and put into service each available remedy.

Here's the deal. I have a brand new Sansa Fuze 4 GB. After taking its packaging, I plug it on my desktop (Windows XP, SP2) and I get the message "USB device not recognized". I tried every single USB port, including a self-powered USB hub.

I am the administrator on this computer and I added myself as a "Net localgroup Administrators local service' - whatever the hell that means.

I have installed and reinstalled WMP 11 and the MTP Porting kit. I tried all of the fixes in MSC mode. I tried all the fixes on three separate, all computers running the same operating system - one is a laptop.

I contacted the helpdesk of SanDisk and their corrections were more extensive that I found on the internet, the results have not changed.

So, if someone can help me. I don't understand why this unit is so full of bugs. I don't understand why it will not work right out of the box as announced. It's actually a Christmas gift for a friend, so the clock is ticking. I wanted to have this thing set up before unleashing it on it. I'm sure that some bugs he get up and running should be echoed on his computer!

Brand new? Bring her back. You probably have a lemon. Or have SanDisk replace it. \

Edit: You could also have a bad power cord. But this the heck, replace all the way.

  • Sansa Fuze 8 GB guaranteed

I have a sansa fuze 8 GB and every time I use the music starts to jump, the screen moves really slow and when I turn off the Goodbye screen stays on for a minute or two.

I'm looking for, so for the warranty I hope, return it and get a new. Please and thank you!

You can return it to the store? First try. If this isn't the case, you must create an account E-box on the regular SanDisk Site and communicate with them on an RMA number.

  • Sansa Fuze is not compatible with Rhapsody/Windows 8.1?

Finally, I replaced my old laptop XP with a new with WIn 8.1.  My two (2nd gen.)  Rocket (no +) devices load OK, appear in Rhapsody as being authorized and allow the transfer of securities with subscription. But once disconnected the two devices think the tracks of the expired subscription.  Rhapsody has this message under Tools > device compatibility report:

Device for Sansa Fuze 8 GB compatibility report:
This PC reports that it performs "Microsoft Windows Version 6.2'."
Transfers of securities of subscription to the devices is not supported by your version of Windows

Titles that have been imported from CDs play fine. Someone here can shed light on what is happening?  Is is time to reformat devices?  Much thanks is advanced.

Well, well, well. For all those who might find this thread with a similar problem in the future, I think that I just solved it my problem with the help of the Rhapsody site troubleshooting tips.  It is reset course the Sansa device clock, regardless of it's:

    Asked synchronize the device

-Reset the clock secure your device
    1. go to the Rhapsody software
    2. connect your MP3 player to your computer
    3. hold the CTRL & SHIFT key on your keyboard and right click the player icon
    4. click on Reset secure clock
