Sansa clip lights, be recognized by the pc or the load?

OK, I bought my mp3 player on the 2nd o this month and I went to put on today after just yesterday and it lights... so I try to load it and it does not recognize my pc. What makes it unable to load by the pc. I have a gigger in my usb charger Tremblay and which does not load... and he did. everything worked yesterday! im still waiting for an answer from sandisk about what to do now. I can't take back at the store since its past 15 days return policy! So im very irritated. everyone has ideas on how easy to get this supported by the guarantee or what was wrong with players out there that won't turn on. Thank you

Same thing happened to me an hour ago. The documentation that accompanies the device says of "slide up and hold the button for 10 seconds.» Then turn on again. "Tried to him... and IT WORKED! I hope this helps.

  • Sansa Clip lights if the load

Hi, I got my Sansa Clip in 2008, and about a year later, I have it lent to a friend of mine. She told me that the next day she thinks she accused it too because now it does if it is supported. I tried to reset it up to two minutes, but it is still not running. If I load it, it turns on but shows only the recurring Sandisk logo and the image of the home and a computer with arrows moving between the two. This also happens with my computer when connected it is recognized and I can check the music files and all, but it turns off immediately when I get disconnected. I did this on and off for the past 3 years. A way to solve it myself or get it fixed somewhere?

Sounds like the solder on the battery leads joint broke. It's a common disease of the first (original) Clips. It's probably just a coincidence that it happened the same time you he lent to a friend.

If you are of the adventurous and handy kind with tiny son and a soldering iron, you might be able to fix it yourself. If not, transfer all your music out of her (if she is not already saved on your computer, which should be), recycle responsibly and get a new one.

His replacement, the Clip + is a wonderful and worthy descendant. Better than the original in my opinion.

  • SANDISK Sansa Clip Zip not recognized by WIN 8

My SANDISK Sansa Clip Zip MP3 player is not recognized by my WIN 8 machine when I connect it via USB.  It works fine on my other machine WIN 8.  Technical support SANDISK told me that the MTP drivers are missing or corrupted.  How do I find, download and install these drivers from the Microsoft site?  Is it also possible to copy these out of the installation of WIN 8 disk I have?

OK, so I found that this worked for me on win. 8

1st: hit 'Windows key' 'X', then click on Device Manager.

2nd: once it go to Universal Serial Bus Controllers, find "USB Mass Storage Device".

3rd: hit search and edit the material (something like that)

4th: there are 2 categories, the first to find the driver automatically, and the second looking for your pc.

5th: click on the first then wait it should work and then it will say that it is recognized and you can sync your Media Player!

I hope this has helped! :)

  • Sansa Clip - computer does not recognize the music file

I have a Sansa Clip 8 GB. It works OK. It connects to my PC (Windows 7) and fees. But when I open the music from the PC folder there is nothing in it. There is the music of the clip and he is playing. But nothing in the folder on my PC. The clip has the firmware version: v02.01.35A. His car is up to date. Any ideas?

Try changing the drive USB MSC mode by going to settings > system settings > USB. If you still don't see the files, try MTP mode. Files transferred in a mode are invisible to your PC when it is connected to the other mode (files transferred in both modes are still visible by the player himself, that's why they play even if the PC cannot find them). The third mode, "Automatic Detection", should be avoided because it can change between the MTP and MSC between sessions without warning, according to the whims of Windows.

  • Sansa clip 4 GB fell in the toilet

so, today, I was listing to my clip and had to pee so I put on the counter next to the toilet and did my business. I went to leave I to receive the entire clip and it fell in the toilet while on I turned off immediately and put it in other rice what steps should I take?

I'd get a little distilled water and rinse (no pun intended) the Clip out with her (keeping the Clip, of course).  Then shake off as much water as possible and then put the player in a warm place to dry for several days.  Some people will also put the player in a bowl of rice - the rice will absorb moisture.  Once you are sure that the player has completely dried up, try again the player - hopefully, this will work.

  • Sansa e260 abruptly stopped, recognized by the computer

    Hello

I was humming happily with my e260 sansa for over a year.  Suddenly the device is no longer recognized by my computer.  It cannot find the driver.  I've read many, much-related posts here by people with the same problem, and it is unclear what is the solution.  I tried to update the firmware, and it says that it has no recognizable feature.  I tried to look on the problem of the PSG, but I can't find the USB settings (Windows Vista is sometimes so little intuitive).  I checked my WMP version, and I don't think that can be the problem because I have a latest version.  I tried to read a few pages of FAQS posted, but all links were broken.

Can someone help me?  I just bought one for my mp3 player speaker system, so I'm looking forward to having to buy a new one.

My boyfriend hit the cord and magically the appliance starts to work again.  After two months.  I say I learned something from that power.  Thank you for your help.

  • Sansa Clip + 8 GB show all the music, play or delete on PC

Yesterday, I plugged the drive to my pc to remove some songs and add some new ones. Everything was going well until I went to add a song that is on my computer for a long time. When I wanted to copy into the folder music from Sansa, he said that I couldn't copy it and then did my drive started to act up.

Now when I load the folder music, I get a bunch of icons that look like the icon 'internal memory' before, it shows my music. But then it loads up to the letter T, and even then, it skips the letter S and shows only 3 songs of the letter T. It won't let me play anything out if the folder no more. If I click on any song in this folder to read it, I get the following error message...

Can not play. Try playing something else. File format can be unspoorted, file extension may be incorrect or the file may be corrupt.

I can't delete songs or even these icons because he told me that my drive is not connected. I tried changing the settings to MSC and MTP and it does not help. And neither the factory resets to zero. I think it's the * beep * windows media player. I think that it it screws to the top when he tries to synchronize my drive w / it.

My player works fine in my car. I have a stereo that has the USB port, so I can connect my player up to it. No problem.

I really don't want to reformat, but if I have too... No one knows why this happens? Is there a solution without reformatting?

    happenn wrote:

I don't have us WMP to transfer songs, I do it manually. It's just that whenver I connect my player, WMP has to get involved. There certainly must be a setting where I can turn this function OFF

Use the MSC Mode, not the PSG. It's what gets involved WMP.

But, that being said... your computer cannot see files in 1 mode, at the same time, so after re - format switch the player in MSC mode (settings > system settings > USB Mode), then re - load your files on the drive. Otherwise, it can get really confusing. And do not use the Autodetect setting. Which defaults to MTP mode if it detects that WMP is on the system.

  • Light me back when the load

When I arrived at the 7 1800 HP Tablet that was dead and are charged without coming on. Now that I've set up and started using it, it shut off when put on the charger. I tried set-aside

    • Turn off, then plug the cord into the Tablet (turn right back on)
    • Plug the power cord in the Tablet and then turn it off (turn right back on)
    • Turn off once it turns it self is back on (always turn right back on)

Any way I can solve this problem that has become a daily event and prevents the tablet to get a full charge as the first load right out of the box? It's my first HP Tablet, I have a BlackBerry PlayBook and nothing like what happens to it.

As a contributor of top of page on the Forums of media consumer, HP, HP gives me access to the HP Slate 7 and HP Slate Pro 8 free of charge so I can better answer questions on the Forum.

When you stop the charger as described by the previous poster and plug the power adapter that the slate should be charging.

With the slate completely off and plugged adapter, press the power button and release.

A picture of the battery should appear which reflects the current state of charge. If the battery is empty, you should see an image of an internal battery described in a very dark color.

If the battery is fully charged, you should see a symbol of lightning bolt inside the picture of the battery on the screen for a brief period, showing that it is connected to a charging source, then you should see an image of solid battery. You will see only the image of the battery on the screen if the unit is off. If the slate is selected, you will see a text statement that displays the State of charge as the last picture below.

Slate picture 7 fresh battery status when the unit is off.

  • Sansa Clip not recognized by computer - new problem

All of a sudden my Sansa Clip is not recognized by my computer. I use MSC forced for a year and have seen the page referred by others with this problem. Nothing seems to work. Download the new firmware will it correct even if the device is not recognized? How the new firmware can be installed on the device?

At present the Clip plays already charged music, but I can add more.

    Suggestions? Thank you.

OK - I'm a model. I used a charging cable not provided by Sansa. This is why the computer was not recognizing the Clip. However, is there a way to NOT use forced MSC to connect? I use it since I updated the firmware to the last spring and my thumb is painful.

Your firmware has USB mode in the settings? If so, switch to MSC there... problem solved!

  • Sansa Clip + problems, correct the records but unknown marking and scrambled the tracks. Help!

    Hi guys,.

There can someone please offer some advice for me and my husband before we became completely crazy?

We bought for our daughter the Sansa Clip +, but we are having the same problem occur over and over again.

During his music and audio books have first been loaded above all was fine. Added items displayed in the files and the right places but, now, for some reason when we add anything, the record of the album can be seen, but it also creates an additional folder that displayed as "Unknown". When you go and try to play inside this folder it does not work... "We always ensure that there is proper use of marking we MP" tag, so I know that the questions are not because of it.

We have tried everything we can think of. Tried to update but I think we already have the latest version installed in any case - V01.02.18P, performed a factory reset, put in shape and I have tried using different modes, but it makes no sense. Why everything fine was a couple of days and not now...

We use a 16 GB Kingston SDHC Card inside the Clip +.

Please any ideas would be welcome because it becomes a nightmare.

    Thanks Claire x

I should add that I am starting to think that I can have bought a card SD of FAKE writing is rubbing on the front of the card... IS this likely and if so could cause of the issues I am currently experiencing? XX

  • New to the use of my Sansa Clip + full _ indicator of Charge

I just purchases a Sansa Clip +.  I plugged it into my computer.  Did it come from, or what I need to charge for 3 hours straight out of the box.  Also... How can I tell when it is fully charged.  Right now I see a 'Connected' message and the battery flashes for about 3/4 full to full.

It will stop flashing when it is loaded to 100%. I used my with a partial charge right out of the box, but then fully charged.

When you start to use your Clip, do not rely on the load indicator until you get to know your little player.  My Clip + takes a reasonable amount of time down to a charge of 50%, but then falls to zero in an hour or two.  Initially it was quite annoying as my previous Clip did not do that, but I adapted.  Your mileage may vary...

  • Sansa Clip 2 GB shows "Connected" when the charger is plugged

I have a Sansa Clip 2 GB is around the age of 6 months.  He played very well for 5 months, but for the last month, he periodically left the game and shows 'Connected' when the charger is connected.  I can sometimes turn off and on and it will start working again.  He will play for awhile, sometimes minutes, sometimes a few days and then stop playing again and see the "connected".  When he is in this state it will load but not play.  I tried 3 different Chargers and all have the same problem later.  I updated the firmware of 01.01.32 but no help.

Someone knows how to fix this?  TIA for any help.

OK, here is the last, this problem is resolved, but he caused a new sorta related problem.  What I did I deleted all my files and just put all the songs in the Music"" folder.  This seems to have solved the problem where it says 'connected' and stop playing, however, now it plays a day or two and then stops himself.  I just press 'Play' and he starts going again, so it is not much more than an annoyance I can live with that, and I could see where maybe he could do so on purpose after she played all the songs, but why it not it that way when I got it?  He played continuously day and night for months as a first step.  I'm confused, but I can at least live with the Clip now.

  • The Sansa Clip - button / stop

I think I have a similar problem to most of the people on this site, I have a sansa clip (2 GB) blue and the other day, that the girlfriend was listening, however, it turned off as usual but nevertheless I wanted to use it the next day, when I came to try to turn it on, but it would not accept.

I tried all the options about resetting it, and also I have updated the firmware version I could access using the WEDGE + middle button Option while only connected via a USB cable. However, now that ive done it, im able to see the sansa clip as an element connected on the list 'my computer '. Everything I've had there been deleted. Then back to the factory settings.

However when I have the camera connected to the computer and I'm going to turn off while its still connected, I can, and when I go to turn it back on again, it turns on.

Its when I have the device disconnected from the computer and try the power button, it will not only she won't turn on and I thought it might be something to with me a fall, which, if I did, I don't remember because I the care normally in a safe place as I consider that my MP3 as my baby... lol.

Anyway, hope you guys have a few suggestions that I'm totally distraught...

Please get back to me as soon as POSSIBLE

    Thank you

    Concerning

    David

Have you read the other threads on the same topic? If you are unable to turn on, you may need to get another, exchanging where you bought it, or have it replaced by SanDisk warranty.

Insofar as all your music being gone, I doubt it. More likely is that in your update of the firmware, your device default to opposite USB mode you used to put the music on with. If you put the music in MSC mode, it does not display in MTP mode and vice versa. It is still there, but your computer only 'see' in the mode he was transferred in.
