The poroblem is that the cursor moves off the screen, either in the top right or bottom left. Tired using laptop without usb mouse same problem, have scanned laptop in case of virus, found nothing. been looking for the web, but only to find that the people who have had this prob is with mouse Sales (Laser or infrared ones)

I was wondering if it's got time my keyboard replaced in which case this is the problem is, the mouse uses a bit of the keyboard to work.

Someone at - he encountered this before and could point me in the right direction

see you soon

Hello

Well it s strange. The problem occurs if the joystick is not connected?
This resembles the function of calibration of joystick or mouse.
Have you tried to calibrate the joystick?

Also the same problem occurs if the accupoint mouse trying to calibrate. The mouse cursor moves to 5-10 seconds. Right now you shouldn't t touch the mouse.

Good bye

  • Sat Pro 6100: The orange light blinks

    GDay guys,.

Thursday, it was the last day of school.
In the last lesson of the day, I used the laptop to play games (Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100, 1, 6 GHz) when the Bell went. I tried to stop in time, however running in battery mode, she went up to 1 ghz and has been quite slow, closing the game so I immediately turned it off by holding the button for a few seconds.

I put it in my new computer case belkin which offers a thick foam padding and went home by bus. When I finally got it, I plugged the laptop and tried to boot the system. The screen didn't work for some reason, so I tried the key light several times without success. Reset the computer several times, still nothing. I was wondering if it was the hard drive of the stopping is not correctly earlier this day here but I could always blindly log windows. It me intrigued as to why the screen wasn't on. I presume that a cable was loose so I removed the keyboard and checked the cables on the graphics card. They were fine. Put the keyboard back on and tried to start the laptop.

The flashing yellow light has shone in its ugly glory. Something was wrong. I left the cell only and got the father, who is an electrical engineer to check on the laptop for all things obvious which could cause this problem. Dad couldn't see anything.

Before, I read a post on the resettlement of the graphics card can work so I reinstalled the graphics card and tried to boot the system. Still nothing!

    What the hell is happening?

I read these support forums and find a post on how you can charge the battery, start etc and try it and watnot, but it still fails. When I remove the battery and exit onto the adapter and replace the AC adapter in, a green light that shines above its power light shines. When I put the battery in again, a yellow light shines above the stack, however as soon as I press the power button, everything shuts off and the yellow led shines above the logo of ac power...

Any ideas as to what may cause this problem and how can I solve this problem?

    -Well done guys!

    Hello

Littco is right. You must contact the partner in your country. On this way is really not easy to say what can be the problem, but I guess Hat there is a problem with the electronic control gear and you will not be able to repair only. Check it please this page

    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?PF=true

and there you can find a list of aspic in your country.

  • RTC & Sat Pro 6100 battery

    Sorry for my bad English.

If the cmos of laptop battery (I have a sat Pro 6100) is damaged completely, the laptop also ignite?

    Hi Biagio,

The RTC (or CMOS) battery is installed on the motherboard, and is used to keep the BIOS settings when the laptop is turned off. If the RTC battery is faulty then the date/time and other parameters of the BIOS only be not maintained when the laptop is shut down for a while.

The normal battery will be affected by the failure of the RTC battery and will always recgarge as usual when the laptop is connected to a power source.

The RTC battery can be charged by connecting the power supply but leaving the laptop off for about 24 hours. If the date and time is always lost after that the RTC battery should be replaced by an authorized Service Agent Toshiba.

  • Sat Pro 6100: firmwareupdate for wireless CardBus TI 1410 Lucent ORiNOCO

    Hello

my laptop is a Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100
with this wlan card: Wireless: TI 1410 CardBus / Lucent ORiNOCO
    and this firmware:

    Eth1: Material identity 0005:0004:0005:0000
    Eth1: Station identity 001f:0001:0008:000 has
    Eth1: Firmware identified as Lucent/Agere 8.10

The problem is that the drivers will not work with this firmware.

eth1: Lucent/Agere firmware does not support manual roaming

Now, I am looking for a firmware update for this card (I think 8.72 should be the current). The update should work on linux or (if not available for linux) on windows.
    Kind regards.
Can someone help me that my wlan Runic card with Linux?

    Hello

As far as I know that the wireless LAN card is optional on East Unit.
You upgrade the unit with the wireless network card?
Well, I put t know you what WLan card, but these cards are compatible

    Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card (2, 4 GHz, 802. 11a / b) PA3236U-1MPC
Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card (802.11a/b/g) PA3298U-1MPC
    Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card (802. 11 b / g) PA3300U-1MPC

The drivers for these cards, you will find on the page Web of Toshiba or the Intel Web site. In my opinion, if you use a good card and driver so that all should work properly.

  • Satellite Pro 6100: Bluetooth - how to connect the mobile phone

I already have a satellite pro 6100 with the bluetooth software on. I tried to connect to my mobile phone without success. The problem seems to be with the laptop rather than the phone.
How can I connect successfully. I have to update the new drivers? I bought it refurbished 3 years ago and I'm just getting round to the use of bluetooth!

Well, the Bluetooth software has been installed on your laptop, BUT the question is:
Your group has installed Bluetooth card?

AFAIK the Bluetooth is an option available on this unit. You must check the Device Manager and check the bottom of the unit if the Bluetooth label has been placed.

I think that you cannot connect your mobile phone because BT is not available.

  • Satellite Pro 6100: BSOD after use of the 6000 SP recovery CD

My 6000 Pro Satellite recently bitten the dust after several years of daily use. I just bought a used SP6100, after which I tried to use my SP6000 product recovery CD to do a reformat. Since when I Stop (obviously common) * 0x0000007B (0xF9680640, 0 x 0000034 etc.) error and blue screen on reboot.

Is there a way to turn it? I had not thought about media recovery is specific to a single model (and the 6000 and 6100 are quite similar in terms of model anyway), but is this the case?

Thank you very much for all the advice

Cannot use the recovery CD on the different laptop models. Perhaps the two Satellite 6000 and 6100 are similar, BUT not even.
Different drivers and chipset utilities are used on these books.
The restore CD contains all drivers and utilities, and it seems that the blue screen error message appears because some applications and drivers are incompatible and unsupported on the second satellite!

So if you want to use the Sat 6100 you should install the OS from the original CD of Microsoft and then visit Toshiba s driver and download the RIGHT and compatible drivers.

    Good luck

  • Satellite Pro 6100: no LED at all, the machine doesn't work anymore

    Hi all
I have two nb, a 6000 and a 6100. Never had any probs with the 6000, but my 6100 gives me a real hard time:
The battery has been fully charged, when out of nowhere, it froze... had no chance, but power button money to stop, something cut, two green LEDs (which is normal, right?)
Down the silver power button to restart, nothing.
Plugged the AC supply (because the battery is fully charged, see above...): all of THE lights is empty, no lights at all.
Pressing the new button, NO RESPONSE AT ALL, it totally DEAD!

What could have caused this? What can I do? any help appreciated, thanks.

    very desperate, lionmouth

    Hello

It seems that there is a hardware error that couldn t be repaired by a biosupdate or something. You will need to bring your machine to a partner of service approved for repair/hardwarecheckup. One of my friends had a similar problem with its 6100 with exactly the same symptoms and his "mother" was defective. But at this time the machine was still in warranty so I Don t know how´s with your mobile phone.

  • Satellite Pro 6100 - unable to connect to the WLAN router

    Hello

    I brought a 2nd hand Satellite Pro, model version SP6100 (PS610E-029ZV-EN), P4 1.7 Ghz, 512 MB, 30 GB, with Windows 2000 Pro loaded.

I can't connect to my wireless router. The switch is in the correct position.

I want to change to XP using the key provided with the new laptop (dual OS) however I can't reformat using a XP disc at the start up or if I use the recovery cd (start with holding C and let go when he works up) it starts but displays 'specification drive not valid' three times and charges Win2000.

Can someone advise how (or if!) Can I reformat I want?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    See you soon.

Are you sure that the wireless network adapter has been installed in the laptop?
    Check in Device Manager

On some series WLan is optional. This means that the WLan card is not installed, but it is possible to install an and, consequently, the laptop contains the WLan switch.

  • First Pro CC moving very slowly since the upgrade to 2015.3

I've updated the other day to 2015.3 and nothing in trouble have since then. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and even tried to go back to the 2015.2 version, but when I did I couldn't open one of my old projects. When I say that it moves very slowly, it is probably an understatement. It takes about nine minutes to open a project, and 8-9 minutes extra for video clips appear in the library. I'm on Windows 10 with a processor I7 with 16 G of RAM. I have never had any problems with first Pro CC in the past and like it, but this is crazy. So now, I have nine value terabyte of videos that I can't do something with and have eight days before the project is due. It would normally take me a few days to do what I'm trying to do, but at the rate he now travels would take me probably months. I hope I can find a fix quickly before I have to go to another editing software so that I can meet my deadlines.

I found out with the help if you go into preferences, then to the media and uncheck the box "Enable accelerated h.264 decoding (reboot required) Intel" then he corrects this problem. So if you are shooting with a Sony or anything that uses AVCHD format, then you need to do.

  • Unlike satellite Pro 6100 (PS610E) - two versions of the Bios?

    Hello

There are two files of bios for this old laptop...

    1.90 - TRAD
    1.90 - WIN

    What is the difference?

Best regards & thanks in advance

    Tom

TRAD (traditional) version can be made using the floppy drive and the BIOS update should be saved on the diskette.
WIN version can be started under Windows operating system.

  • SAT Pro 6100 Modem and WLAN problems

    Hi all

I have a portable SP6100 which had reinstalled WINXP SP2, allows to detect the PCI modem but not install and WLAN installed the drivers but it cannot see all wireless networks. I tried to download and reinstall the latest version of these drivers on the Tosh site and did the MS updates but still no joy. The modem will not install, it says invalid drivers. If removed WLAN drivers, reinstall automatically on reboot (Tosh Wireless LAN Mini PCI Card) but still does not work. Someone had problems with this? See you soon...

    Hello

    First of all, I would like to say a few words on the question of the modem;
To my knowledge the laptop is equipped with a chip modem Scopio (Agere AC 97)
You need a XP driver that supports this chips and SP2!

I also checked the page of the Toshiba driver and found information for Microsoft Windows XP SP2 update.
It seems that the BIOS should be updated version 1.90 or later!
In order to check your installed BIOS!

    Now something of WLan:
It seems that the laptop supports a standard Wi - Fi: 802.11B and WEP encryption.
If your WLan router has been set at G orto your, you will not be able to see the WLan networks!
The router must support the 802.11 standards B

Remember that your wireless network card is compatible with the Wlan router!

I am owner of 2 laptops. One of the laptop uses a 802.11 has / B card Wlan and my router supports the B/G 802.11 standards.
A laptop cannot connect to this router because of the different standard.
Maybe it's the same reason for your problem of s

I have a new laptop of MX40, and it starts up at all when I turn on the power.

Most of the time it won't do anything, not even open the test page, and the screen remains black.

However, sometimes it will start by a long beep, then two short. You can here to windows that open towards the top, but the screen remains black.

Anyone any idea how I can fix this.

    Thank you

    Hi Dave,.

This is a hardware failure (as indicated by beeps when you turn on) and indicates that a component has failed to POST.

As the device is new I would stay there a repairer authorized for repair under warranty or outlet where it was purchased.
