Satellite A11-998: fatal error Power Saver - code: 0x7e
I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite A11-998. I upgraded the operating system of Windows XP MCE to Windows XP Professional. As some of the drivers were not picked up, I was download the latest drivers from the Toshiba site, but when I install the Toshiba Power Saver, utility, I get the following error;
"A fatal error has occurred. The program will end. "Code: 0x7e.
The only option I is 'OK '. When I start the machine and Windows journal, I was invited with the same message, even, when I try and uninstall the energy saver utility. Is it possible to completely remove the utility, or can anyone suggest how to solve the problem. Any suggestions much appreciated.
See you soon
It seems that there is no general solution for this problem.
I found some comments on the similar problem, and it seems that the Toshiba recovery CD installation will eliminate the error message.

But how did you install the entire operating system? Did you follow the installation instructions on the page of the Toshiba driver?
The order is very important and necessary if you want to install the Toshiba applications on your operating system.
I also discovered that the laptop uses Power saver power saver utility and driver.
I think you need to first install the driver and utility.
But everything should be described in the installation instructions

Fatal error Power Save, utility 0 x 51 on Satellite M70
I just joined my M70 to a domain (SBS 2003) and get this message when I connect to the domain.
If I was able to connect to the account of local user on the laptop then it works fine.If I go into power options in the control panel and select a different power mode then the error disappears but I can't select TOSHIBA Power Save plans in the combo of plans.
Help, please
See you soon
DaveMaybe the power saver utility and power saver driver are not installed for all the user accounts on the M70.
Or all user accounts are not allowed to use power saver utility and driver power saver. On the Toshiba driver page, you will find the Toshiba Power saver utility and the driver of Toshiba power gain.
Both applications must be installed and run together.> If I go into power options in the control panel and select a different power mode then the error disappears but I can't select the TOSHIBA Power Save system in the combo of plans.
It is clear. If Toshiba power standby mode will NOT be chosen in the Windows Power Options, then you will not be able to use the Toshiba power saver. -

Satellite Pro A100 PSAASE: error Power Saver and LAN? After downgrade to XP
Hello
I have a toshiba satellite pro A100-psaase!
I could not find this model on the toshiba site, so I chose the A100-psaas software. The laptop came with windows vista. I have it downgraded to windows xp, has chosen the psaas model so that I can download the drivers.
I have 2 problems: the first is the eve of power software, it does not work. Start windows every time I get an error in the energy saver. I can not uninstall.
My second problem is, that a windows pop who found a network controller and I can't find any software or driver for it. So in Device Manager, an exclamation point on the icon of the network controller.
The funny thing is that I have internet and all.
I can't find a solution to these two problems
Thanks againHello
You have chosen the correct unit. The satellite Pro A100 PSAASE is the same model as PSAAS.
I put t know why the power gain error appears, but for most of these errors occur because the tools and utilities have been installed in the wrong order!
Seems that the installation instruction has been placed on the page of the driver Tosh! Read and follow the installation guide lines! Proper installation is important and necessary. The LAN drivers are also published on the page! There are 2 different versions. Try them both!
The laptop supports a Lan Intel Ekron-R 82562GZ chip. Compatible drivers, you can also find on the Intel page!Good day

I hope you can help me, all brands have a power management utility work, I was hoping that it was the same for Toshiba. I hope!
Any solution, a way to run the Toshiba Power Saver or any other software that could replace it.
I have another question, where can I find the phone numbers and e-mail technical support or service after sale?
Thank you.
Hello
The energy saving was not preinstalled on this unit because this utility is not supported on this device (Satellite L10-270).
It would be very interesting to know where you found this tool?
I put t I think that this energy saving will not work properly because it was designed for another unit. In this case, you must use the Power Options of Microsoft Windows that you can find in the PanelIn addition if you want to contact technical support please visit this site. You will find detailed information.

Satellite A105-S2061: unrecoverable error occurred. Code: 0 x 57
I just installed service pack 3 and when I restart my computer, I get this message. Fatal error has occurred. The program will end. Code: 0 x 57.
I have a laptop series Satellite A105-S2061.Are there patches known for this problem?
Hello
What application is causing this error message?
What is the Toshiba Power Saver? If so, then try to reinstall again the energy saver.
If the message will always be present while a radical solution can be successful; It would be the Toshiba Recovery disk and you need to reinstall new OS
I m do not know if this issue has something to do with SP3 or not, but maybe there is a problem of compatibility with some applications installed and SP3.

Satellite A60-392: Failure of Power Saver Setup? Help me
Hello world
I have a Toshiba a60-392. I reinstalled Windows XP Pro in my book. Then I tried to install the Toshiba Power Saver. The installation seems to be okay. On the last screen, when I pressed the "Finish" button, it causes a fatal error. Then if I try to run the Toshiba power from the control panel Manager, it says that I have no right to do so. Finally, if I try to uninstall it, it causes the same fatal error during the installation process. The error message is: "a fatal error has occurred. The program will end. "Code: 0x7E. So I'm a little desperate. Any ideas?Post edited by: yannischris

Satellite M70-173 - fatal error - new drive HARD and recovery.
Excuse my lack of knowledge.
I received a Satellite M70-173.
to turn on before charging readings - fatal error; I have to save all my data and replace the hard drive.
I don't know if it's fixable and that's what I have to do. I also said that when you replace a HARD disk I need a recovery disk.
I reside in Cyprus and don't have is not easy access to the shops of style PC big supermarket.
I was wondering if I could use a generic HDD and if so is there a particular one that I need to acquire?
Also
where would I go to get a recovery disk?
I got the laptop I can't afford to buy a new one at the moment and it is still in very good condition apart from the above-mentioned problems!
I wish that all the advice on what type of HARD drive, I would need or is available - rough cost so I don't get ripped off and if we change the disk HARD is as easy as I read. Also where I should go to get a recovery disc and if that's all I need to fix the laptop.
Thank you very much in advance for any help I can get.
Peter
> The laptop does turn on - is it possible to make a recovery of a damaged laptop disk
How do you do if you can't turn on the laptop?
What you could do is to remove the HARD drive, then place it into the drive enclosure HARD 2.5 external, then connect the HARD drive to another computer, to save the data.
In my opinion this is what you could do

Not only that I can not install it, nothing pop out when I click on the zip file CONFIGURATION icon.I have already installed all drivers for the laptop computer.
Can someone help me?
Thank you
~.~Hi mate
You said:
> However, when I download the 'power saver' among the official website of toshiba, I was not able to install.First of all this laptop seems to belong to the Canadian series of Toshiba and if you want to use any tools Toshiba, then you will have to download it from the page of the Canadian driver Toshiba!
In addition, you can choose the drivers and tools exactly for the PSAA8C series.
In many cases, you will not be able to use the tools that are designed for other series!
We must therefore be sure that power saver downloaded has been released for the series PSAA8C.Welcome them
