Satellite A200-23U - DVD - ROM problem after the firmware update

Hello! I have A200-23U (TSSPcorp CDDVDW TS-L632H). I day first TO02, then TO03 firmare. No error has been shown. After the reboot, my device is locked (is not open / eject button or by any software) and ImgBurn (for example) can't find writers. In system devices now it is shown that:
IDE\CDROMTSSTCORP_CDDVDW_TS-L632H___*boot*___\5&1AC5D6C0&0&0.0.0 (I think that there must be * TO03 * not * START *)

What is the problem and how can I solve this problem?

PS. sorry for my bad English)

You can try to reflash the drive down to T02 OR you send the machine to an authorized service provider or they fix this problem.

Could first check if the downgrade works?

Welcome them

    Hello

It is my first time on the forum posting, I hope someone can help me.
I recently downloaded the latest update of the Bios (bios - 20090121132526.zip) for my laptop. I ran the bios Setup, after the update it restarted my laptop, but then he went to a black screen and no longer start.
When I press the power button only power led lights, fans begin to turn and the DVD - rom turns and stops and the screen is blank.
I am running Vista Home premium 32-bit.

Can anyone provide a solution on what I can do to fix this?

    Was the system standby standby/extended/recovery?

Its important to cold starts of the system before and after an update of the BIOS.

You could try to remove one of the modules RAM (change RAM size) and turn on, otherwise the system may need to be sent to an ASP for repair.

    Hi all!

I wanted to install XP on a Satellite A200-1AX.
So I tried to update the Bios to the version that supports supported XP.

When I tried to install it, crashed Vista and now the laptop won't even turn on.

When I keep the power button pressed, the whistling fan but nothing happens.
I think the BIOS is gone or corrupted.

    What should I do?
Thanks in advance for any help!

    > When I keep the power button pressed, the whistling fan but nothing happens. I think the BIOS is gone or corrupted. What should I do?

What to say to boyfriend. It seems that something was wrong during the process of updating the BIOS maybe the BIOS was not written correctly and the ROM module must be flashed again with the help of a special procedure and the tool.

In this case, you can do anything you will need to contact the ASP in your country for a fix!

Don t waste time and ask a technician for assistance.

  • Satellite U400 - PSU40E Synaptics touchpad problem after the recent update to BIOS

    Toshiba welcome,

I've tested this in reverse, this is why the statement in the subject as it looks. After upgrading the bios of 3.00 to 3.50 touchpad loses its precision. Very rude and useless its like that.

I tried different drivers, everything, but the only way to really solve this problem was it downgrade to 3.00 OR uninstall the driver Synaptics completely. Second solution, unfortunately, is unacceptable, because then I lose some features, like click on contact, which I don't use and control.

    Best regards

    Wojtek

    Hey Buddy

I U400 and the BIOS has been updated to the newest one.
The touchpad works like a dream. I m using Win XP and Vista and there is NO problems after BIOS update!

In your case, this may be only a software problem and I think you can use the Toshiba Recovery disk and could reinstall the whole OS from the Toshiba drive

It is a really radical solution because the whole HARD disk may be formatted, but if the resettlement of these two drivers touchpad didn t help then I think this would be the last solution.

Thnx everyone for trying to help me

I think you have these issues because the drivers are missing.

I see you are using the XP 64 bit OS. Toshiba drivers for win 32 bit and so some features don't work and you can't update the BIOS.

  • Satellite A200 - HD DVD ROM is not working

    Hello

Can someone give me advice what to do with my HD DVD ROM It's playback discs after departure upward but then if I don't play anything for a while (30 minutes or 1 hour) and then try to play HD DVD ROM stopped reading anything and the laptop became frozen. Sometimes it even stops with the error message.

If I restart my computer then HD DVD ROM still works but for a short time.

    What should I do?

    Kind regards

You have cd/dvd utilities in the system tray? Maybe they are causing a problem.

Try to remove the CD/DVD filters in the registry.
When the associated CD/DVD (such as iTunes, Nero, virtual CD software), the software is installed, they install filters in the registry, which can cause compatibility problems.

    (1) run Regedit (start-> Run-> Regedit)
    2) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
    (3) in the right pane, delete the "UpperFilters" key and delete the key "LowerFilters".
    (4) restart.

If your CD/DVD programs stop working, you will need to reinstall them (preferably with an updated version).

This utility can remove the filters for you:

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD

    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are

  • Re: Satellite A200-1BQ, does not not after the screen saver

Hi, I have a Satellite A200, 32-bit Windows 7 OS. When you use the screensaver to the PC stop responding. Have to spend because no response.

If you have a report some problem send it please.

    Hello

This means that Windows 7 hangs and does not answer only when the screen saver has been activated?
Have you noticed the same problem with Win XP or Win Vista?

If not then this behavior of the laptop could be related only to Win 7 and I think that it might be caused by the graphic card driver

Remove the graphics driver that you have installed and test the screen saver using the common windows driver 7

It would be interesting to know what is happening

  • Satellite Pro L850 - 1-8 - a few problems after the last update to BIOS version

    Hello.

I have some problems after that the latest bios upgrade to version 6.80. First of all, I would like to note that Setup of HW does not work for me. I tried to use this tool to change the settings of the bios without success. This was done also by running this application with administrative privileges without success.

The initial problem appeared after I tried to disable "open Panel - Power on" setting.
This has been activated before the update bios and at some point I wanted to disable, because he gave me a nightmare when you carry because she would then put the computer in a bag.

No matter how many times I tried to turn it off, it seems always enabled in HWsetup.
Another feature that I can't edit's startup speed.
It remains fast even if I tried to change to normal.

    I'm on Windows x 64 8.
    The case is now.

    GROUP OF EXPERTS
HWsetup reports Open PANEL - PANEL as activated, while the Bios shows it off. It is indeed turned on and I could not turn it off. I even tried him for in the Bios and then try to disable in HWsetup, no change.
    STARTUP SPEED
HWsetup startup speed related to 'NORMAL' but actually is 'FAST '. In the Bios, it reports its normal, but its easy to say to his FASTING in.

    My questions are.
    1. it can be the cause?
    2. How can I reset all of the values in the Bios to see if that fixes anything to start?
    3. is it possible to Flash the Bios with a version more old to see if this corrects the problems I have?

I should also mention that 'System settings' has never worked for me. I get a message "Supervisor password check failed". Please note, there is no installed password.

I will be grateful for any given solution. Thanks in advance.

Can you please tell us which model of laptop you have exactly (the complete model name)?

BIOS update has not this means that the ROM module (where the BIOS is stored) isn t flashed properly.
As far as I know that this problem could be solved by flashing module ROM using Toshiba BIOS disk of the crisis.
I guess Toshiba authorized service provider to have this disc of crisis and able to reflash the ROM

  • problems after the automatic updates

I have Pavilion g7-2235dx with Windows 8.1 operating system. Almost all automatic up-to-date mess to the top of my ability to get on the internet. The only way I can connect is to uninstall all updates. The icons on my desktop has also stopped working. When I click it, it will immediately on the desktop. Cannot pin them to the taskbar either. Those on the taskbar does not open by clicking on them either. Have to click straight and say to open. Also problem get my Norton antivirus to open. Says it works but can not open it.

    Hello

It might be, the upgrade to Windows 8.1. I've seen people with complications get the upgrade to go "smoothly".

You can try, do a system update that would take you back to Windows 8. See if you have the same problems after updates.

If you choose to update again, make sure that everything is already successfully updated.

  • WRT54G2 problem appears after the firmware update

Hi everyone, a newbie here. Nice to meet you all and thank you in advance for your help.

Here's my problem. I have updated the firmware on my router for 1.0.04)is Sunday, and then there are problems on my router.

    1 have a weaker signal.

    2. the router cannot detect my internet just as it has been in the past. I have to type in my PPPoE setting for example my user name and password in 192.168.1.1. Furthermore, I use AT & T DSL.

    3. my internet will totally drop off after several hours. I have to reopen it and the modem power on & off switch.

So I want to know if I can downgrade the firmware back to 1.0.01 or is there any other setting that may help me get but it? A list of steps is better.

Thanks again in advance and have a nice day.

If you haven't already done so, try to do a hard reset, hold reset button of the router for at least 30 seconds with the power connected to the router, and then reconfigure as needed.

Since I use your & AT T DSL, you can reconfigure the DSL modem, so it don't the PPPoE connection and then reconfigure Type Automatic Configuration - DHCP Internet connection router.

There is another question that may arise with an AT & T DSL modem. My Speedstream 4100 & AT T DSL modem put the IP address 192.168.1.1 for the router WAN/Internet port. If the router is configured to the default settings, there will be a conflict between the modem and the router and none of router devices connected will be able to access the internet. The solution is to change the IP Address of the router to the router on 192.168. 2.1. Restart all router connected devices after you have made this correction.

Also with some model WRT54G2 (happens on my router WRT54G2 V1) the wireless signal will go offline when a wired computer is started. When this happens, the work around is the power cycle that the router once the wired computer has started, or log in to the router, go to basic wireless settings page and click on the button Save the settings. Then the wireless signal comes back to the top and wireless devices will resume their connection.
