  I've had my Satellite A300 - 10 M for 5 months now.

  Today the power adapter went 'pop' (literally with a ' pop' sound) and no longer works.
  Battery is fine, computer laptop is fine, it is just the power adapter.

  Of course the warranty would cover the replacement of the power adapter.

  As far as I know that the international standard warranty covers all parts of a year long laptops.

  Your laptop is 5 months old and so the warranty should still be valid!

  1. I just bought the Toshiba Satellite A300-1QD and since there is Vista based on it and I have Vista ultimate, I decided to install on the laptop.

  Hello. I think that the partition table and boot loader are messed up and it's your problem. You can try to chek to find errors and format your HARD disk with a third parity tool and try to install windows again.

  Make sure you have all the drivers installed (to download on the website of toshiba pls)
  You must also install:
  -common modules
  -utilities

• Satellite A300 - 15K: Polish character does not appear by using the shortcut

  I am a fresh user of the A300 - 15K, and early on, I discovered that there the combination Alt + Ctr + c assigned from ATI (Catalyst Control Center) software. Unfortunately this combination should normally produce Polish character "to? (apparently not correctly on this page somehow after as I have copied from the word - it is stong focus on it - ' c' here is its capital version "-?").

  I am entered in the Catalyst Control Center and unmarked the use of keyboard shortcuts called (first this particular shortcut, then the use of hotkeys, usually), but I've reached this Catalyst Control Center stopped commissioning after the use of the combination.

  However, the necessary character of Polish does not appear. I can get the capital version with Ctr + Alt + Shift + c, but no normal version.
  A service center guy advised me to assign a different letter as combination of starting for the Catalyst Control Center and I did, but it was not the Polish character appear.

  I guess that there must be an error in the locale so I tried to change to English and Polish with zero results.

  Please help with some Word of the Adviser.

  Its easy to turn off.
  Simply enter the catalyst driver and there must be option as 'shortcut '. Turn the power off.

  I had the same problem.
  I remember that only it was really easy to turn off.
  You shouldn't have a problem with it.

  I'm not quite sure what problem you have but you should first try to install the necessary drivers touchpad m.
  Maybe you used the wrong driver in the past

  So Sat A300-1EG belongs to the series of PSAG4E.
  The European driver Toshiba page does not provide a special touchpad driver for Win 7 for this device.

  But I noticed that Win 7 64 bit drivers touchpad (Alps & Synaptics) for Satellite L500 PSLS3E series is released on the European driver page.
  Try both drivers Touch Pad for this device and test it!

  At the moment the driver support didn't start for Windows 7 because it will be released this week on 22 October. Therefore wait a few more weeks. ;)

  There are Vista drivers available already and you can try these drivers. The Vista drivers are also work on Windows 7.

  I noticed I was encountering problems more often because of the graphics card is not not to date.
  I am looking for an update for the ATI Radeon HD 3650 series.
  I checked the AMD for and to update, but it seems that most cell phone manufacturers do not want to distribute updates. They had however an update for the ATI Radeon HD 3xxx series in December 2010, but the following comment wrote:

  I checked and the update on the Toshiba site is the previous update... it has the * version 8.634.1 * and AMD is at version * _8.801_* with their AMD Catalyst 10.12 software suite.

  I know laptops are not updates as much as a normal desktop pc, but it would be nice to receive updates that came out for the products that we bought.

  If possible could someone direct me, so that I can get the driver for Windows and Ubuntu?
