Satellite A300D - 16 c - screen keeps flickering.

My laptop screen randomly starts blinking. I have sent back to be fixed a couple of times, it works fine day fo ra or two and then starts flashing again.
It's really frustrating because any position I put the screen in it sparkles... HELP Please!

Hello jadakiss

Sorry to hear you have this flickering problem and I believe you when you say it's frustrating.
How to help? Good question.

As you know you cannot do much with your laptop. Impossible to take apart and try to fix something and, as end-users, we have no possibility to do much. What we can do is to test the operation of the equipment with the own operating system preinstalled. All that s.

So I'm afraid that you must try to contact the service again and talk with them about Mr. ask what they did to solve this problem. Ask if anything exchanged or not.

You can try to download the latest VGA drivers for your model and see if that solves the problem. To do this, you can follow the steps below:
    1. go to http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers
2 type Aspire E1-470 in the below "search by product model" box and click "search".
    3. click on your model number in the list that appears.
    4. Once your model details are displayed, select your operating system in the drop and more "Operating System".
"" 5. now, go to the "Drivers" tab and download appropriate "VGA" drivers depending on whether you use a card 'Intel' or 'NVIDIA '.

  • My screen keeps flickering, no matter what I do. How to stop?

The problem started when I first downloaded and started using RealPlayer, now my screen constantly flickers every 5-15 seconds no matter what program I use both. (Internet, Chrome, iTunes, etc...)

How can I solve this problem / make him stop?
First thing to do for a computer slow (or weird) should start to clean and see if an automatic startup program is the cause.

    Clean boot
To see if other programs are causing the problem. Click on Start - Control Panel (and select Classic view in the left pane), select Administrative Tools , then System Configuration. Choose the general tab, and then click Start Diagnostics. Reset.
    Speed has been restored?

The second thing is a virus check. This program is free and highly recommended.
Use it as a scanner only.
  • Satellite Pro P100-188: screen keeps blinking on and off at random intervals tension

If anyone can help me with my computer so please PLEASE publish it because I have no idea of what is happening to her.

I just bought a new laptop, a Toshiba Satellite Pro P100 - 188 Dual Core and I'm having a problem with it. Sometimes (not all the time) if the computer is plugged in or not, the screen flashes and repeatedly and then will slow down and its suspicious home.

I have no idea what's wrong with it, I sent it to the store where I bought to be fixed and they just he sent to me, but the problem persisted. They say they have done tests on the machine and can't find anything wrong with it, but if that were the case, then it only would not have messed up again.

What is just a software problem? The screen seems to flicker on and off at intervals irregular or not I'm in the middle of using it or not. All the drivers are the latest drivers and I admit now that I'm at my wits end.
    Any thoughts, anyone?

    Hello

This seems very odd. However, you posted that this problem happens sometimes and not all the time.
In my opinion I n t think that the software could be responsible for this issue.
Perhaps one loses the connection cable? But believe me; It's not easy to say what's wrong without diagnostic tests.
You have suggested that you have sent the unit to the store.

I recommend you contact Toshiba service partner in your country. Technicians must check the laptop.

  • Re: Satellite L500-19 X - screen keeps going black

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 - 19 X and continues to go to the black screen.

When you start the computer it flashes briefly until start / Boot screen properly before going black right now. Sometimes, the image is displayed correctly for 3 or 4 minutes before also black.

If you hold down / tilt the screen under a strong light you can see a preview of the ghost of what should be displayed and if you connect an external monitor to the external monitor works fine and you can see a black ghost of what is on the external monitor on the laptop screen.

I tried to reinstall the drivers, but it had no effect.

Do you think I should replace the screen inverter Board or just reconnect the connectors screen?

Thank you very much for your advice.

    Hello

First to solve this problem, you must disassemble the laptop.
I put t know exactly the procedure step by step for the L500 series but this procedure isn't very easy disassembly and you could damage other parts.

    Back to the question.
It seems that the graphics card is OK and the problem is with lighting.
Satellite L500 was equipped with a FL inverter Board and LCD joint (no backlight).
The FL inverter controls the level of backlight screen s and I think that in your case, this part is defective.
To resolve this problem, he needed to remove and replace the s FL inverter.

  • Satellite P200-144 second screen projector flickers

    Hey all

I bought my new Toshiba P200-144 just so I can use DJ software.
The problem is when I plug in the projector via a VGA cable and use it as a second screen. As soon as I put the projector as a second screen, this screen will be flashing all the time? even if I put the laptop in 1024 x 768 screen, the screen will be teetering in 1440 res? NVidia will come out a new driver?

Can someone help me please and is there any way to get rid of him flickers?

    Thank you

    Jay

    What do you mean exactly?
Don't resolution screen automatically switches always the 1440 x? resolution or display quality is bad?

Hmmm. I don't know if it is a possible graphic driver problem m it s a projector wrong setting? You connect the external monitor (not a projector) to check the second screen quality?

Have you checked the different nVidia settings? You should do it.

    Hello

    > he told me that the laptop is pretty hot.
No doubt, in this case due to a higher internal temperature
Your friend is already cleaned the laptop?

  • Re: Satellite A300D-13 has: problems starting - starts not or only black screen

Hello, I have a Satellite A300D-13 has and the problem is, when I try to start the laptop for most, he tries to boot from the hard drive or the DVD drive but then he just stops and starts again immediately to do the same. In this case 4 or 5 times. Once it seems that it starts well, but the only thing I see is a black screen. And the keyboard does not work either.

If I try several time with closing by pressing the power button (you know who I mean), I managed it starts normally (but such a situation is always annoying). Moreover, it seems that this happens only when I did use the laptop for a while. So maybe it has something to do with the temperature. But more or less 20 ° C in my room.

In the Bios I have change the boot order of the sources (I can't change it much more)

I am grateful for any kind of help.
Thank you for your cooments in advance

    Hello

The issue could be related to software, but also for the hardware problem.
But first, we have to check if it s a software problem.

You are using the original operating system preinstalled by Toshiba. Is this good?
AFAIK the most recent series of laptop is equipped with HARD drive recovery option.
In this case, the Toshiba Recovery DVD has not been delivered with the laptop but there is an option to create a.
HARD drive recovery option can be used to reinstall and update the operating system.
I would recommend to repair the operating system and reinstall it again by pressing the F8 key. The Advanced Startup menu should appear and then you must choose to repair your computer.

This option will start the recovery procedure and the BONES to relocate again.
Please check if a new facility will improve the situation with Notepad.
In addition, it would be desirable to update the BIOS, if a newer version of the BIOS is available on the European driver Toshibas page.

If this suggestion won't help you then whole notebooks material must be check by a local ASP.

  • Satellite A300D is runnig but the screen remains black

    Hello!

I have a big problem with my Satellite A300D.

This morning I forgot to connect my laptop to the net elec, and so my battery drains.
When I reconnected and restarted my laptop I could see the Toshiba and splash screens of Windows, but after these the laptop screen becomes black.

You can see the cursor, but the rest disappeared.
    The screen is all black.

Strangely, when I press ctrl + alt + delete, the vista opens again, and I can select and view the Task Manager.

    What should I do!

    Hello

There is a solution that could help bring back the screen.
in Notepad, remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter.
Wait about 30 minutes and reconnect the two parts.
Then try again to put the laptop.

In many cases, this procedure helped to set something like this.

    Good luck

  • Black screen on startup on Satellite A300D

    Hi all

first of all to say that I searched through this forum and found several ppl with similar problems and the solution was to bring their laptops to the service.
However precisely to the problem; It happened just after a freeze any.

I tried to boot up the laptop and all the lights were on, drive hard work for 5-10 sec, dvd - rom answer and also when I plugged/unplugged, the witness replied that the only thing is that I get nothing on my screen and nothing is loading.

I guess the hard drive stops working.
I tried to remove the battery and power cord and I left like that for 30 min / 1 hour, even overnight..., replaced the ram and still nothing.
Of course I'll do it to an authorized service, but it is not one in my city so I'll be happy if someone found the solution to this problem

10 x to everyone in advance.

OK, sorry I forgot. The model is Satellite A300D

    Hello!

When you have removed the battery cable and the power for 1 hour or more and then is the same, it s a hardware problem.
I think that it of really the best to go to an ASP. They can check your laptop and share the material, because I think it's a problem with the motherboard.

You can also send the laptop to an ASP if isn t one in your city.

But here, you can search for s ASP if you didn t do this:

    Bye!

When I close my Satellite A300D the monitor turns off, of course. But when I open it again the screen remains black. I can hear everything is working normally (Windows Vista 32 bit).

    Can someone help me?

    Johannes

    Hello

As far as I know the laptop to stand mode when the lid is closed!
Please check your settings in Vista power options and turn off the lid closing option.

In addition, I would recommend updating the BIOS and the driver of graphics if a newer version is available on the European driver Toshiba page.

My screen keeps turning yellow and flickering between normal screen & the yellowish one.

It is most likely a hardware problem and could be a problem with your computer or monitor.  Check the connections.  If it is possible to test the monitor with another computer and your computer with another monitor to circumscribe.
