Satellite A300D - 17G boot problem

Hello

I have a huge problem.
Computer laptop fel floor, while it worked, then I picked up and it seemed fine.
But, when I tried to get into a folder on your desktop it said it cannot because the disc or some sort of connection is not found, or something like that (the folder is on the D drive, which did not show in my computer, I have guessmeans that is broken or something).

I restarted, and it's the same thing.
Then I turned off t, he left for 10 sec, turn on again once, he came to the Microsoft loading screen and it doesn't move from here!
It loads forever. I turn it off then I get two options - start windows normally and to start with fixing problem, I choose one and the same thing!

It doesn't load... What is going on?

Thanks in advance

Hello

You said that the folder is placed on D. What is a second partition on a drive HARD, or maybe that he s a second HDD?

As far as I know the laptop supports 2 hard drives.
In your case, I would check if two hard drives are recognized in the BIOS.
You can also check if two drives are properly connected. The bays for HARD drives are placed at the bottom of the unit, you will need to remove the cover of the bay in order to get access to the hard drives.

Of course, it could be also a problem of HARD drive because of the fall, the HARD drive could develop a fault and this could be the reason for this problem

  • Re: Satellite A300D-13 has: problems starting - starts not or only black screen

Hello, I have a Satellite A300D-13 has and the problem is, when I try to start the laptop for most, he tries to boot from the hard drive or the DVD drive but then he just stops and starts again immediately to do the same. In this case 4 or 5 times. Once it seems that it starts well, but the only thing I see is a black screen. And the keyboard does not work either.

If I try several time with closing by pressing the power button (you know who I mean), I managed it starts normally (but such a situation is always annoying). Moreover, it seems that this happens only when I did use the laptop for a while. So maybe it has something to do with the temperature. But more or less 20 ° C in my room.

In the Bios I have change the boot order of the sources (I can't change it much more)

I am grateful for any kind of help.
Thank you for your cooments in advance

    Hello

The issue could be related to software, but also for the hardware problem.
But first, we have to check if it s a software problem.

You are using the original operating system preinstalled by Toshiba. Is this good?
AFAIK the most recent series of laptop is equipped with HARD drive recovery option.
In this case, the Toshiba Recovery DVD has not been delivered with the laptop but there is an option to create a.
HARD drive recovery option can be used to reinstall and update the operating system.
I would recommend to repair the operating system and reinstall it again by pressing the F8 key. The Advanced Startup menu should appear and then you must choose to repair your computer.

This option will start the recovery procedure and the BONES to relocate again.
Please check if a new facility will improve the situation with Notepad.
In addition, it would be desirable to update the BIOS, if a newer version of the BIOS is available on the European driver Toshibas page.

If this suggestion won't help you then whole notebooks material must be check by a local ASP.

  • Re: Satellite A300D - strange keyboard problem

    Hello!

    I have a problem with my Satellite A300D: when I press on 'y' or '5', I get a "y5" and when I press "n" or "b", I get a "nb".
If I hold down y or 5, it seems y5yyy... and with n and b I get nbnnn...

What you think could be the problem? Keyboard? Or some other hardware controller?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

It is difficult to say why this happens, but in your case I would like to connect an external keyboard and check this. You may notice the same behavior?

If not, I think the case is clear: your keyboard internal doesn t work properly and you need a new. Therefore, you can contact a service provider authorized in your country.

By the way: have you checked the keyboard input language?

I can't install the package value-added on my laptop. Installation process terminated with error ID_ERR_NOTINSTALLTVALZ_MESSAGE
I have my BIOS updated to 3.10 - win64, found on the official site and installed the o2micro flash media driver. The flash media driver is for 32-bit vista only, but it is installed without any error.
So, VAP cant't be installed in any case

    What can I do else?

UPD: flash media driver - first of all, Ii have installed o2micro native 64-bit driver
now, I tried a 32-bit driver available on the toshiba site

    Hello

I checked the Web from Toshiba site and it seems that, for your laptop model (PSAKCE), no driver Vista x 64 is available and you have the drivers for the other models A300D but normally it shouldn't be a problem. There is no significant material differences.

In any case, before installing the VAP mark sure you t have any yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager and SP1 for Vista should be installed!

Also, why did you install the 32-bit driver for the card reader? Have you had problems with the 64-bit driver?

  • Satellite 2540 CDS, boot problem

    Hello
I have a satellite 2540 CD and when I turn on the hard drive does not start. He made a little sound like it wants to start but then kind of stops. I have the power led, HD light, seeing the battery. The light on the drive is also on. I tried the reset button but nothing changes. The HD is fine and the power is very good. Is there a combination of magic button to turn it on? Help, please

    Hello

As much as I know there is no magic button, but sometimes, it will be very useful to have a. Am I wrong?

In my opinion, you should try to enter the BIOS settings. Check if the HARD drive is recognized correctly. Alternatively, you can try to start the device using the departure of dick. Check if you can change to C:\ A:\ and verify if the contents of the HARD disk will be displayed correctly.

  • Win 7 32 - 64-bit drivers for Satellite A300D - 17 G PSAKCE

    Hello, everyone!

I read the previous topics about win 7 drivers for the A300, but I want to see my own problem. I've got A300D.

Drivers Toshiba page offers a very limited list of drivers for Satellite A300D - 17G PSAKCE.
    http://ru.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=ru

    Why?
Where do I get the rest?

Any 32 or 64 bit. I'll be happy with any of them.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Have you checked this Toshiba HOWTo?
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=78

You will find instruction how to find the right driver.
This opens a possibility to search for drivers on different pages.
Alternatively, you can use the drivers released for other series laptop because in most cases, the devices are identical, and the driver must be compatible.

Finally and above all I recommend using the search function of the forum that helps you to seek further discussions with the same questions.

  • Satellite A300D-15B - off and charging problem

    Hello

I have a Satellite A300D-15B, running Windows 7 32 bit, which has bought used recently. I encountered some problems and I hope that someone can help me with!

First of all, the day I got the machine, he spent all of a sudden, but turned back immediately and seems to be ok. Subsequently, 3 weeks later (Saturday 2 July) I was installing some software when I got an AGV virus warning, in a few moments the machine again is turned off suddenly. Unfortuanetly right now it will not turn back and the costs/AC power indicator do not come. After some research, I found that remove the BIOS battery and power dissipation allowed me to turn on the machine. Are there any known issues that could be the cause?

Second, once I had the laptop to turn on after you stop suddenly on Saturday, I found that the charger will not yet be you register as being plugged in unless I have use the folling procedure.
    (1) disconnect the power cable fuse from the transformer block
    (2) remove the battery
    3) plug into the DC Jack
    (4) plug the power cord for the transformer that causes the power led on the laptop to turn on.
    (5) reconnect the battery

The laptop then charges normally, I use it to write this post.

I must use this process whenever the unit is unplugged the sector or charger, which is irritating and also concern that there could be trouble on the horizon.

Any help would be much appreciated.
    see you soon
    John

    Hi John,.

You wrote that your laptop runs with Windows 7 and the first question you mentioned could be linked to the operating system only. You can test one thing please? Restore factory using Toshiba recovery disc. The disc will restore original settings of the case which is pretested by Toshiba.

If it s just a software related problem the recovery disc will resolve this problem.

Unfortunately, it could be a malfunction of the motherboard also. Are you using the original Toshiba AC/DC adapter or 3rd party one?

  • Problems with the installation of recovery - Satellite A300D - BSOD

    Hello

The laptop in question (TOSHIBA Satellite A300D) recently stopped starting (BSoD).

So, I tried using the recovery disk, but there is no help. What happens is:
-After about 10 minutes of waiting, the first language menu load, so I click on "next".
    - Then I again click Next and accept the message that my HARD drive will be erased
    - Then I see a cmd prompt that says "try to remove all the letters of partitions possible...". »
-There is also a minimized command prompt that says something like "RAID failed to initialize."
    -And then nothing happens.

Is this a hardware problem? I also tried a full installation (instead of recovery), which, even once, is simply not. None of the errors is - it just freezes.

    Any help appreciated.
    Thank you.

It is not easy to tell what can be the problem, but if you were not able to install the OS by using two different facilities CDs/DVDs, so there must be a problem with the HARD drive.

    The warranty is still valid?
I mean you can contact the nearest Toshiba authorized service provider and explain the situation. They can swap the HDD and again test the recovery procedure.
Can you get somewhere 2,5 SATA HDD for testing?

  • Satellite A300D-11 q battery problem

    Hello!

I was on the point of start almost the same topic, when I saw there was very similar question several hours - [http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=61884&tstart=0]. Yet, I decided to share my problem.

    I have the Satellite A300D-11 q PA3534U-1BRS 4000 mAh battery and 10.8 V.
The difference in my case is that I bought a new battery, PA3533U-1BRS, 7200 mAh, 10.8V, but a third-party manufacturer.
Before that, I was told by the official service of Toshiba PA3533U-1BRS is compatible with my computer. Of course, this trusted third party (Brainydeal, a U.S.-based company., but the battery is made in China, by AGPTEK). It was pretty tempting as the price was half that quoted by Toshiba for a 6000 one mAh. And there were 16/16 sides of 5 stars on Amazon for the same battery.

So, the problem. I had very similar flashing red LED, but nevertheless the battery could be charged and was able to power the laptop for about 2 hours. However, the computer could not get information nor on the level of load (and therefore couldn't not to assess what is the period of hibernation, so was suddenly stopped), voltage, or manufacturer.

And the model seems to be PA3593U-1BRS depending on the software (Lavalys Everest and also BatteryMon).
I've had a few matches clumsy with Brainydeal where they assured me that the battery is high quality and all going well, 3593 is compatible with my laptop model.

Finally, I returned it to the manufacturer for replacement, and yesterday, I received a new. However, the same is happening again.
    Exactly the same thing.

Before writing back to the manufacturer, I decided to check here for review.
May be the battery Electronics is a failure?
Or could it be somehow related to the fact that the computer is purchased the battery - of the USA and Europe? Or I just had very bad luck?

    Post edited by: marchemence

Just one question: the old battery is working correctly?
I mean do a blink led using the old battery or only the new battery?

I read in some discussions that last BIOS should be used for series Satellite A300 to solve some problems of battery.

Please check if you are using the latest version of the BIOS!

  • Satellite A300D - creating recovery disk problem

    Hello.

I have Toshiba Satellite A300D-11 t (extended A300D-11) and I would like to create recovery disk. Problem is that I can't run the Toshiba Recovery disk creation tool. There is no shortcut in the start menu.
I tried to run Program Files.

Program itself exists (or at least I think it does), there are files in the Program Files folder, in "Programs and features" program is also so I could remove it.
Simply click on the file TosRDC.exe (or any other file *.exe in this case) and it does not start.

For memory - recovery partition exists and has not been changed.

System - Vista Home Premium 32 bit.
    What should do?

    Hello

I would say to pick up the machine from the disk and then, immediately after the machine, you should try to create a recovery disk. It could be that something in the meantime destroyed some piece of software in your operating system that could be the reason of this problem.

Maybe not a very elegant solution but the only one that works every time.

    Welcome them

I use a Satellite A300D series laptop and while at home, I use a UBS keyboard on it, but once the laptop is used without a USB keyboard only some of the keys seem to work, I get number 6 when I press the i key.

I thought that this could be because the USB keyboard would not have been arrested properaly when I unplugged and the portable thought he was always there, but even after the stop of the USB keyboard is the same!

All the answers to my problem?

    Hello

On my Satellite A300, I can get 3 when I press L. It can be done if you are using the FN + F11 key combination.
Perhaps this option enabled on your laptop?
