Thanks in advance,

_Here's what I've tried: _

1 tested antenna/cable. The antenna works very well with a normal digital Panasonic TV and an old Analog Tv.

2 followed FAQ How to install tuner in the press room
http://www.MyToshiba.com.au/support/item/226
-Region: Austrlia
-J' tried to digital, analog signal.
-Tried to add manually analog and digital channels

3. I tried the turn off/on tv tuner driver.
4. tried to uninstall/reinstall the tv tuner driver.
5 tuner driver Tv is the last updatev2.3.3.31 that no newer version exists of Toshiba or Microsoft.
6 installed latest BIOS update v1.60
7. tried with other MediaPortal TV tuner software. result: no signal of any channel
8 tried all above on the two versions of 32-bit and 64-bit Win7, still no tv signal.
9. I'm back for Win7 64 bit fresh install with no tv signal

Its possible that your antenna is not compatible digital. Are you able to try another antenna?

If its does not work with a good known antenna that can capture digital channels, the antenna socket itself may have a problem.
You will need to send it to an ASP for repair.

  • On my Satellite A660 TV tuner does not work

    Hello

I bought a Toshiba Satellite A660-07 one a few months ago and then reinstalled Windows 7 32-bit system in order to have more than a few partitions. But I had not deleted the hidden partition the system just in case I need to restore factory settings.

Now I have moved to a remote area and need a TV but only to discover that the tuner did not work. It is detected correctly under sound devices and games in the Device Manager. However, when I use windows media center to scan channels. The WMC just says the software has encountered a serious error and try again.

Then I tried to use Blaze DTV, which is also a very popular DTV software. Successfully, it recognizes the Tuner but will not scan either.

I did some research and used the advocatus of configuration of the tuner TV in Windows 7. The warning message is that "the tuner is not properly configured to be used in Windows Media Center". And the details show that the tuner is plugged but not active for the WMC.

But how do I then activate the tuner for WMC?

Really hope that someone can help as I am now panic in a small town remote in New Testament.

    Thank you!

I see a big problem here. If you have installed your own version of Windows then you will not be able to start the installation of image factory more.
Due to this fact Toshiba strongly recommends the creation of recovery DVDs. It is described in s operating manuals.

In any case, one question at first: you've found the right 32-bit driver TV tuner? TV tuner is installed correctly?

  • Some of the Satellite A660 - 11 M keyboard keys do not work

    Hello

My Satellite A660 - 11 M keyboard does not work properly. Some keys type, others type the wrong letter/number.
Replace the keyboard usually solves the problem? Keyboards are available for this model?

Furthermore, juice was accidentally spilled on it weeks, so I guess that's the cause of the problem.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Yes, maybe the question is related to the spilled juice.
I don't think that the replacement of keyboard can help you

The new keyboard can be ordered from a Toshiba ASP in your country.

You will find here all ASP world-wide:

  • Satellite A660 - TV tuner does not

Only, I bought my new laptop about a month ago. While not a required feature, the seller was sure to point out that she had a TV tuner and could record digital TV. I got it working fantastically via Windows Media Center... for about a week. Now, he just tells my my TV tuner is not found or is not available. Library reconfiguration does not work as it does not acknowledge the tuner.

    Any ideas?

Can you please check the Device Manager to see if there is some unknown device? Also check entry TV tuner.
Tuner TV installed and registered correctly?

  • Re: Satellite A500 - Digital Tuner DVB - T will not find channels

    Hi all

    I recently bought a Satellite A500-02J.

Im having problems trying to receive digital television with its built-in DTT tuner.
When setting up through Windows media player everything is ok and said that the tuner is fine and set up correctly. But when I search the channels he found nothing.

It scans and finds all available channels when I connect my antenna external antenna plug, but couldn't find anything with the integrated tuner.

I tried to update the tuner dvb - t by Device Manager, but again it is said the latest version of the driver is already installed and there is no problem with him.
It is very disappointing that this was one of the reasons why I decided to buy this model - I don't want to always have 10 metres of antenna cable hanging out of the computer.

Anyone have any suggestions or advice on how to fix this?

    Luke.

DVB - T is available in your area?
Are you using the DVB - T antenna?

Maybe stupid questions but I just want to know what you're doing exactly.

To be honest I've never seen this message in the past.
But I searched a bit on the net and some people reported the same message after installing Win XP SP3.
Maybe your WLan driver must be updated after the installation of SP3.

First check your WLan card and look for a new WLan driver.

  • Satellite C660 - 2 EV starts plus-Boot not found Bishop

I don't know how but my grandson has seriously broken the Satellite C660 - 2 EV

Boot from the disk - Boot Mgr not found

Boot from the recovery partition - Boot Mgr not found.

Boot from an installation (generic) Windows 7 disk - boots, begins to install, finds, he does not have a required driver (but don't tell me what it is). Allows me to access the drives C:, D:, E:, and X:

Boot from recovery Toshiba DVD. White bar gets about 25% on the whole of the screen then stops with "You have removed a USB support during installation" (or something like that, laptop currently in pieces).

Removed and replaced the memory and DVD player. Removal of the HARD drive connected to my PC via the USB adapter and scanned the two visible partitions (300 GB each) at the level of bad sector. No problems.

    Help! I'm out of options.

Laptop must be functional (basically) as it starts from DVD (non-Toshiba).

HARD drive seems OK when verified externally and start (Non-Toshiba)

    What remains?

Everything that you have done is good, and I would do the same tests.

The value of the default BIOS and test it with another HARD disk, if you can get one for testing purposes.
I can't say for sure, but somehow, I feel THAT HDD is the troublemaker.
Try installing the DVD of initial recovery on the new HARD drive.

  • DAQmx - create channels to channel-not found

    Hello

I'm new to labview. So maybe my question is simple...

I want to generate a signal. That's why I use the DAQmx-create channel.vi. I have, I've created a control to selected the channel, where the signal is generated. But no channels are found.

I use 5412 PXI and my camera is visible in MAX. So I don't know what the problem is. Can someone help me?

    Thank you

    Ratta

The 5412 is an arbitrary signal generator. It does not use DAQmx. It uses NEITHER-FGEN.

  • Satellite A660 - 11 M optical drive will not write to CD or DVD

I got my A660 for about 9 months and it was burning without any problem but about a month ago, I tried to burn a DVD and the operation failed.

Since then, I have tried a number of different CD & single layer / double layer DVD which all failed.

I also ran the factory reset to recreate the image on the laptop, but the same problem persists.

The drive seems to be written the drive normally until the end when it fails, then there is no visible trace on the disc and the machine will always be recognizes it as empty.

There seems to be no problem in playing discs, just write down them.

Does anyone know if there is an update of the firmware available for the reader?

Which app to use for writing to the disc?

To be honest I have think don firmware t update will change anything. I assume that there must be a problem with the calibration of the lens.

  • Satellite A660 - 11 M - brightness adjustment does not work after hibernate

Sometimes, I find that you use F6, F7 to control brightness does not work. This only seems to happen after a fresh reboot, but after being out of hibernation.

I am running Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit and using the latest NVidia driver (obtained from toshiba yesterday Web site): 8.16.11.8988

A way to solve this problem?

    Hello

From my own experience, I can say that all the FN buttons work perfectly after hibernation, standby, restart, etc.. No problem at all!

I put t know what is the problem, but in your case would be to reinstall the package of added value and utility to Support Flash Cards. Two tools to control the FN key functions and can be downloaded from the official page of Toshiba.

But before you reinstall it, remove older versions first. Then install VAP, restart and finally Flash Cards Support utility.

  • Satellite A660 - 11 M: the display does not work with nVidia drivers

    Hello world.

    First of all:

I use the default pre installed SB (w7-64) and nothing more is installed on it, except the toshiba software.

The problem is that, while I use the default driver installed that everything works well, if I update the nvidia drivers, I can't change the brightness more.

It cannot be changed by fn + f6/f7
cannot change it in windows through "brightness".
no change in the power management profile.

(I can put different brightness levels, but nothing is happening!) (I hope you understand what I mean)

the only way to do it is using nvidia Control Panel.

even if use windows utility to update windows drivers download the same drivers and there is the problem.

the only way to fix it is to reinstall the default driver.

but I don't want to use the prehistoric driver!

How can I do to fix this? is this a known issue?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Hello

Since the nVidia page nVidia drivers are not pre-tested and not certified by Toshiba, it s not recommended to use these drivers.
You must use graphics drivers of Toshiba because the drivers are modified and created for the use of the laptop. These drivers support own device of thermal protection that protects the graphics chip.

I think that the issue has nothing to do with the Toshiba FN button software because brightness can be affected, even using Windows 7 power management

I recommend to go back to the original drivers Toshiba!

  • Win7 Ultimate Media Center Edition. Two channels ATSC displays only when I hit 'Record', otherwise 'channel not found', full strength 5 bar

In the Seattle area, when I tune the channel 7.1 and 7.2 in the settings of signal strength, I still see 5 bars. It's the local affiliate CBS, KIRO.

I have a HVR2250 dual tuner PCIe Hauppauge tuner card which has worked flawlessly for about a year. The drivers are current, 8851 dated June 2013. He also runs the current WinTV7 version 2. 8A. I do not use the Hauppauge app generally and it's not usually loaded with the exception of the tests. There is no shows at the request of record with WinTV7, although I could test records programmed successfully using this application.

When I adjust the Guide, or by browsing the channels, MCE says no signal received 7.1 and 7.2.

When I adjust everything first to one of them in the 10-15 seconds avant-erreur MCE 'no signal', if I reached the record, the channel is immediately blocked, including digital video and audio Dolby, and the program starts recording. I can stop recording, and as long as I don't change away from this channel, it remains fully functional with clear reception.

I'm on a hill and have the correct line of the broadcasting antenna site about 12 miles away. I can also have this channel without problem on WinTV7 app by Hauppage, and setting my Samsung tuner screen, indicate both maximum resistance.

The biggest problem is that the series on the logging sometimes channel show "available channel", and does not record successfully. If I manually start recording, it works every time.

Is there any settings I can adjust to decrease the sensitivity required in MCE?
