  Hi all

  Have gotten my Satellite L300 PSLB8E some 2 months ago and since the first day (RTL8187b) wireless is having serious problems.

  Continuous wireless connection drop if other phones that I use at home are very good.
  LAN on the same Satellite works fine as well, it's just wireless problem with this particular machine.

  I have tried to restore the system, using recovery discs, tried every possible update Toshiba as Realtek, but problem remains intact.

  What version of BIOS you have on your laptop?

  There is a version v1.8 of BIOS on the European driver Toshiba page.
  Check if you have a lower version. If so update!

  In addition, I would recommend WLan driver download Realtek page:

  You can find the most recent driver.

  Last but not least that it would be a good idea to verify that the settings in the Panel-> WLan card properties-> Advanced tab.
  Here you can change the encryption, the channel and the power saving settings.
  I recommend turning off the energy-saving WLan card.

  You should also update the Vista of the State. I read that Vista has caused a lot of issues that have been fixed with the latest patches and fixes.

  I was wondering if it comes to WLAN card and while I'm covered under warrantly, I should get it replaced but I just want to be sure.

  Please be sure to have the latest version of the driver that there are listed. Many users have also reported this problem on some access points, and not on all of them. If a friend you have WIFI at home please try to verify the WLAN connectivity with some other router (other manufacturer).

  You just bought a new A300-02W (canada), everything works fine wxcept... wireless.
  The passing continues WiFi connection and card wifi has been disabled, I restart the computer then go through the steps of repair under Win Vista to be able to connect again.
  I went to the store and got one same one, another model and I'm having the same problem, the drivers are up-to-date, tried to Win XP and it is the same question.

  I recently bought a toshiba laptop (satellite c660-174) and am having problems with my wireless internet connection.
  (I currently use the Airport Express Terminal and my macbook has no problem whatsoever)

  The problem is that my internet connects for a few minutes at a time, then falls back, I was invited to run the network diagnostics which solves the 'problem' it will work again for a few minutes then the same thing happens... etc etc.

  I am 100% sure the router and the connection is ok, because I've been running the macbook at the same time and who never fails or loses its internet signal.

  A few weeks ago, I bought a Satellite C660-115. I want to surf the internet anywhere in my house without any son/cables.
  On the first day, I had this problem: when I disconnect _power_ cable, the wireless connection will stop working.

  I have deleted many programs of a Toshiba Satellite C660 1JH unused, and accidentally deleted the Realtek WLAN Driver.

  The laptop obviously has now no internal wireless connection. When I realized, I managed to find the driver online, downloaded and installed successfully. I rebooted the computer so that the changes take effect, but nothing happened.

  I deleted the driver and all associated files, and then it took another site to check that there was nothing wrong with the content of the file. I got exactly the same result twice more. I was check the list of uninstaller each time to make sure that the driver exists.

  My question is that no one knows if there is something else I need to do after installing the WLAN driver to enable it to operate, or if there is an another wireless adapter internal decent that I can download on the web that works with this model.

  If your laptop computer is in idle mode, it isn't normal that the fan still works. Normally it should start and stop as on other models.
  But if you run some background applications such as Internet browser, Antivirus, etc., it may be normal because the CPU causes a lot of heat and it must be cooled to protect it from damage.

  Anyway, you can try to change the cooling method in Windows power management. You can choose between a maximum Performance and battery optimized. If you want to reduce, change the value of the latter.
  I confirm there is really a difference between the methods of cooling and optimized battery is much quieter.

  Are you sure this isn't question of Wlan router?
  It would be interesting to know if you have the same problems with other devices connected to the Wlan.

  Next to the idea that this could be a router issue I think you should check some WLan Card settings.
  In the Wlan card-> properties-> tab Device Manager to disable the option to turn off the device to save power.

  You said that you have installed/updated test driver the driver from Realtek page too.

  Out of curiosity: why have you updated the BIOS? Have you noticed a serious problem with your laptop computer or just to have the latest version?

  Can you turn on/off wireless card using the FN + F8 key combination?
  Are you sure THAT WLAN is enabled before you try to use it?

  Your WLAN is visible for your laptop?
  Have you tried to reboot your router?

• Connection Internet keeps falling with MacBook Pro OS 10.11.3

  Wifi works fine in our House on all of our devices until I turn on my MacBook Pro. Then the wifi said even it is connected on all my devices, but nothing will load on any device. I have to restart our modem and router. Then it will work for a few minutes and go out again. A little background - I recently purchased a used MacBook Pro (2012) on eBay (to replace the 2011 water dumped old MacBook Pro my 1 year on). He had been wiped and El Capitan 10.11.3 installed.   Do you by chance, your MB Pro doing a big download or download in the background?  This can make it appear that the wifi is down for all devices (actually its just really slow with a lot of latency leading to delays).  Pictures is known for this.  With the MB Pro connected to wifi, access Photos > Preferences > iCloud and just below icloud library upstairs, you see a message that the activity occurs?
